- Currently 39 wild horses that were rounded up and removed from their homes, plus two foals born last week are at the Rock Springs BLM corrals in Rock Springs, WY waiting for adoption. The adoption of the mares will be an online auction in the Online Corral May 6-13, 2024 and the geldings (former stallions) will be July 8-15, 2024. Gina at For the Love of Aria is collecting funds raised to help get all the horses into good homes, working with sanctuaries and private adopters to ensure a safe landing for these beloved horses. The Podcast features Carol interviewing Gina Kuttrus and Sandy Sisti about the actions to help these horses. The art auction raising money starts April 22 and goes until May 2, 2024 here: www.32auctions... #wildhorses
Thank you to Sandy, Carol, and Gina for all your diligent hard work trying to help the horses.

Thank you all so much! This is so informative .
I pray for our mustangs ❤
I agree some of these wild horses should not be separated, because they want to be left alone and stay wild. They didn’t want this to happen. So sad for these wild animals. Horrible for the older animals. Why did they get removed from the public lands ? Why couldn’t they stay there ?
Why would BLM put these McCollough Peaks horses on the online auction when they know they are so beloved? The bidding for some of these special horses could be outrageously high and I can't help but think that there are better uses for that kind of money, like helping the sanctuaries that are trying to save the Mustangs that end up at auctions and kill pens, and especially when there are so many other Mustangs that need homes. Does BLM need the money? They have their budget from Congress and it obligates "we the people" to pay it back. I think BLM should donate these special horses to a sanctuary where people can come see them. If they go to private individuals then the public won't be able to enjoy them.
