We had hundreds of wild horses in northern Canada and lost them all to a cold winter. I wish they could all have been captured. I have 7 at the moment. They all come running to give me love every morning. They have a lot of space eat well. I think it's sad that uneducated people spit their own truth not realizing how unbearable and excruciating life can be for most horses in the wild. @@FizZ2864 What a stupid comment. Are you serious? No, you are. Yes. You're ignorant AF! Firstly, Africa is not poor. Secondly, There's a "low population of natives" in the USA for many reasons. As the Native population was very isolated at that time also, they had no immunity against any foreign germs.

What a woman! I really dislike alot of these helicopter pilots whi hound harass and murder animals! I watched a round up of wild horses and they ran a foal to death as it tried desperately to keep up with its terrified Mother. It just enraged me. I was so mad I complained to a US consulate.

I am a city girl born and bred, and I am sitting here crying at the courage, the beauty and the stamina of what one human being can do. The obvious joy of the horses once again a family. There are so many unsung heroes among us.
It was wonderful to watch how his walk and his body took on a regal stance once he was back with his family. His gait and his posture was most impressive.
Lady, im 55 years old & you've done far more in those few months for the community of life on Earth than I have MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! Thank you again & again!! I am so inspired now to help this world become more loving!!!
she's been doing it a lot longer than this, skydog has at least 8 other herds id say, and 3-4 of them are very similar to this. Families from the wild reunited. Clare's a modern day saint, there are no other words capable of describing what she does for these horses and donkeys.
If I had enough money I would also Donate but I just don't have it but I Totally Agree she is such a Amazing Woman I saved my Horse from being sold to Butchers at a Auction there was a person who was bidding against me but I won in thr end my Boy lived to be 27 years old and the person who put him up for sale at the Auction said he was Stupid because he would would not go foward only backwards it took me 2 week's of getting him saddled up and getting on him and even with my reins as lose as could be he would only backup so I every day would get on him with a saddle without a saddle then just 1 day he took like 4 steps forward I was elated and after that we had 10 Great Year's together ❤️ he was a Paso Fino Quarter Cross but he had the Paso gait so smooth I still miss him everyday
That is such an incredibly beautiful and touching story. Blue Zeus and his herd are so lucky to have such an amazing guardian angel watching over them. You moved mountains for this family and reunited him. Such a lucky family, thank you for doing that.
I sobbed all the way through, even though I knew it would actually end well for the wild horse herd & magnificent Blue Zeus; all thanks to the compassion & dedication (to say the least!) of this wonderful woman. 🐴 🐎❤️🙏🏻
OMG me too!!! Absolutely horrifying to know wat ppl can do to wild animals around the world for our selfish human “needs.” I watched Dr. Oakley on Animal Planet till she & her local gov. are doing the same thing in Canada & they never said wat they’re doing w/thm so tht’s even more sus, Imo anyway.
I'm crying too. First, sad tears watching them getting chased and rounded up and losing their freedom. Then, tears of happiness knowing she saved him and then his entire family!! Beyond happy that she saved them all and they can all be protected from now on!!
I was practically in tears by the end of this. They're all so beautiful and proud and strong. I just cannot believe that those people thought that such a majestic horse was only worth $25. And watching him reunite with his family, I could just see all of them looking at him and being like, "is it really you? You're here?!". I cant believe people wlcould be so heartless as to do something like this.
The way he pranced and trotted when he got to see his family again was one of the most beautiful things in the world! I hate that they do this to these wild horses! Look at how horrible they looked! This woman had a mission that she knew was important, and she had the drive and determination and love to keep at it, through everything! Blue Zeus and his family are amazing, but so is she! Thank you for returning these beautiful creatures to the world, in a safe place!
They look like that because that's how they looked in the wild, and actually they probably put some weight on because they were fed good hay daily while in captivity and no longer had to run long distances to find water. The Bureau of Land Management also provides them veterinary care, gelds the stallions so they are no longer fighting each other, and provides deworming, vaccinations and hoof care, while still keeping them in their wild unhandled state until they are adopted. A life on the range is not always a good one for Mustangs. There are a number of adoption events for them held throughout the country as well as Mustang Makeover Events where professional trainers adopt them temporarily to train them for 100 days for their competitions after which the trained mustangs are auctioned off to find new homes. A well trained mustang can be highly sought after with some of them reaching prices of $10,000 or more. They live much longer, healthier lives in captivity once they've been adopted.
Suzanne Young . Ideally yes! But they are not free. I believe Mustangs are often adopted cheaply by unscrupulous people , not taken care of and sold for slaughter! This is horrifying! The BLM may take care of them, but they need a strict inspection and follow up of the people who have adopted them to prevent this sad fate. These horrible "roundups" should be banned and our beautiful wild horses allowed to live free on our public lands.
@@mimileggett7154 That may be your belief but it is strictly not based on fact. People have to apply and be approved to adopt a mustang. The BLM holds the title on the adopted mustang for one year. Only after one year do they transfer the title to the new owner. This is to try to keep unscrupulous people from adopting the mustangs. No meat buyer is going to hold onto a horse for one year before they can legally sell it. The BLM follows up on the adoptions. There are many trainers who have channels on RUclips where they feature training mustangs for the Mustang Makeover and T.I.P. Challenge events. They will drive many hours to reach the BLM Mustang Adoption facilities and will try to arrive by or before 4:00 am so they can be first in line to get their top choices of the mustangs. Some adoption events are handled as online auctions which they started doing during covid. The bidders have to be approved, and no one buys these horses in large quantities. Also, the love of the American Mustang and anything Western has a huge following in Germany. The BLM works with a German woman who has a farm in Virginia I think where she gets groups of Mustangs lightly gentled to make them safe for flying. The Mustang Makeover Germany group then flies them over at great expense in a full jumbo jet of horses as if they were expensive race horses, and the approved trainers to the Mustang Makeover Germany pick them up at the airport and then begin their 100 day makeover process. Many of the top trainers in Germany and across Europe apply to be accepted for this event annually. The event is held in Aachen to a packed crowd at the largest equine complex in Germany. After the makeover the trained mustangs are auctioned off at very high prices to their new homes. Mustang Makeover Germany has a RUclips channel showing this entire process. Some trainers speak English, but there are English subtitles on every video. Further back in the archives you will find videos of when a large group of the German officials traveled to Oregon and the BLM put on presentations for them and took them out onto the range as well as explaining to them how the helicopter roundups are the quickest and safest form of roundups for the equines and humans alike.
This video actually made me cry. To this day, I don’t understand why people won’t let wild horses be free. Animals have feelings like humans have feelings. Bless this woman and her hard work of reuniting this family.
Tears running down my face - what an amazing family and story. Clare Staples, animals are angels and you will be royally greeted one day. This one nearly took me out. Thank you for what you did!
This needs to be a movie!! omg, I'm bawling my eyes out! He is soo gorgeous and is very happy to have his family back! What a beautiful story! This lady is an incredible human, i cant believe how amazing this story is! AWWWW! P.S. - one of his mares/offspring is a dapple grey (or looks very similar to one) It looks identical to my uncles horse, Dusty. I loved him soo much, he was super smart & very loveable. He knew when I was sad (my Dad passed away when i was 9) and He would actually give me tender hugs & love - he was phenomenal.
Best video ever. Wept through the whole thing. Wild horses are also being rounded up here in Arizona and it’s heartbreaking 💔. Wish we had a SkyDog Sanctuary here. Thanks for sharing and for your Herculean efforts to save Blue Zeus and his clan.
I have sign many petitions for this type of rounding up of wild horse herds to end. It is cruel to just split the family herd up. I am still involved with the petitioning also other efforts to end this type of treatment to wild horses.
First off it's a herd if you knew anything about horses it's a herd second Miss I'm signing all these petitions you're an idiot you're signing the petition to allow them to starve to death this is an invasive species they have no natural predators the only reason they have the foothold that they do is because of the war on native Americans and the near eradication of the Buffalo. The only potential predator they have is the wolf an endangered species if you left these animals unmanaged to their own devices they would starve to death because they are competing against a growing population of Buffalo for limited land and limited grazing opportunity Buffalo are much larger and much stronger than the horses they would simply starve if you really care about them stop signing the petition for them to starve to death
what an incredible story that made me tear up, despite not having any special affiliations to horses. I usually don't comment ever, but this illustration of kindness and emotion really needs to be appreciated and learned from. My biggest respect for the lady in the video!
Just bawled my eyes out watching this video, this would make the most amazing movie plot that I would watch a million times over. Thank you so much for reuniting this beautiful family❤️
This would be a good story to make ibto a book and, possibly, a movie. If you could find a studio and producer interested, it would help support your horses and, maybe, save more. Possibly Robert Redford?
Omg, what a beautiful story of having compassion towards animals and knowing they feel what we feel. How horrible being free and then your separated from your family, branded and caged up. To see them back together whole and happy brought happy tears to my eyes because freedom is everything.
There was public outrage and petitions against rounding up wild horses when they were trying to do this like 5 years ago in the southwest- the gov was trying to argue something like them not being native bc the once native horses are no more (escaped ranch horses have bred with wild horses and joined their families; in addition to the fact historians believe the horses here went extinct and the Spanish reintroduced them)- but they are non-invasive bc they used to be native so it’s not like they are destroying anything... also the bureau of land management has been having issues with ranchers not paying fees to use the land (which they should be paying) and they say some of the herds are ranch horses illegally on the land- so they just want to round up all of them 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Honestly they should just punish the ranchers who are doing illegal 💩
Yes it’s not the Best solution but because people Have built fences roads and such they can’t let them self manage so we have to think of solutions not judge we all fall into that trap so no judgment but harsh words are never the solution. God bless have a great day
Actually she’s rather cruel and selfish for what she did. See when you adopt you have to give proper care to the horses and gentle them. She just put him back out on land with worms in his belly and no shots to fight off infections.
@@laurastarling2510 Lol, so lets domesticate every wild animal so they can live longer lives in cages. Have you not been paying attention? I think this is my favourite Dido video I’ve ever watched. It had me crying seeing them all coming back together. God bless this Angel of a woman. She was the only person who saw him and loved him but she was enough. She was all he needed. Just that one person to love him as much as he loved his family. I’m so glad she did.

Now you know with certainty, this family can live a happy free life on the sanctuary. God bless you and the rest of the team at the sanctuary.
Sadly there is a need for the sanctuary.. I thought they stopped doing this due to public outrage over them trying to round up wild horses (albeit that was in the southwest... I would never imagine they would do this in a state like Wyoming) - I know the gov was trying to claim they weren’t native or w/e bc a lot of them are descendants of escaped ranch horses/they also had issues with ranchers not paying the fees to use the BLM (bureau of land management) lands so there were issues separating which were wild and which were ranch horses illegally on the land (which just follow them and see and then charge the rancher and collect the pet horses)... but even if they aren’t native, to my knowledge they aren’t invasive and the wild mustang (albeit not some of the mixed breeds that now exist that are wild) is a huge American symbol 🤷🏼♀️
I am in tears watching this video and seeing how proud he was to have his family back🥲. More people like this, who care for wild things so fervently, are needed in the attempt to protect wild animals in all places from the greed of most of humanity. @@raellskys4083 True. But we compromise. Accomodate. I've watched this several times. Crying from a deep emotional recognition. Reminds me of the lions taken as cubs who were returned to the jungle but never forgot their humans. People don't understand when I release scorpions back outside. It's the same life recognition. We do what we can even when it feels so very small and so little. Recognizing freedom and nobility is small but it is a start

It was wonderful to watch how his walk and his body took on a regal stance once he was back with his family. His gait and his posture was most impressive.

she's been doing it a lot longer than this, skydog has at least 8 other herds id say, and 3-4 of them are very similar to this. Families from the wild reunited. Clare's a modern day saint, there are no other words capable of describing what she does for these horses and donkeys.

Agreed! May she always be blessed.
This is heartwarming, to see, how much life came back to this stallion, he has to be thankful to have his family back. This bond, to see is precious
If only hwites actually showed compassion for other races of humans. There wouldn't be a low population of natives or poor Africa.

Savages! Capturing them was so wrong in so many levels.
Im glad for evolved, kind and intelligent human beings like this absolutely admiring lady.
God bless have a great day
I love to see these horses stay free. But for your information the ancestors of these horses were brought here by the Spanish.
Hello Anna how’s the weather over there
Sadly there is a need for the sanctuary..
Gosh, I bawled my eyes out!! I'm so happy they were able to be reunited!! This lady is an angel!!
Just imagine out of the thousands they have rounded up how many families are ripped apart never to see each other again...
