@@BobBlackBass A lot of people out here are constantly being fooled out of their hard earned cash by unscrupulous "youtubers". Know that your honesty is brotherly. Blessings! 🙏
I got mine 2 weeks ago! This bass is INSANE! After 40+ years of playing and quite a few high end basses I've never been more impressed by a bass than this one! I actually like the aspect of the "Limited" run! Like @steveheissner said, maybe they'll come out with others!! Congrats owning a masterpiece!!
Hey Bob! Great video as always. I just got real lucky and saw this one used online and pounced on it. Can't wait for it to come in. I already have an active Sterling Sterling that they made several years back and love it. Very excited to get my hands on this passive version. I agree with you on the looks of this one, looks great with the natural ash body with maple on maple neck. I also agree, why limit the production of this bass? But I guess they didn't want it to interfere with sales of the Joe Dart Sterling by Music Man Signature bass? I really like your videos! Thanks!
Awesome bass - I love how it's so reduced to the max! Reduce it even more (get rid of the pickguard and the tone knob) and you basically have a Joe Dart I 😎However, I wouldn't want to miss the tone pot. It sounds really nice, and I think flats would pair really well with it!
They seem solid. Maybe the interest in the piece will prompt them to release more. They made a darkray, and I didn't think they would bring it to the budget brand.
Nice review, Bob! Could be they'll do what Epiphone did with the first Thunderbird Vintage Pro. They released a few and T-bird players loved 'em. So Epiphone released more at a price point $100 higher. Supply and demand.
There's one here at the bass centre in Australia, but man AUD 2,200. What on earth is going on with prices :-( I like the honesty of your revews though.
Hey Belman, that's $1450 in usd. List price is $799.99 here. Only a couple of places have one. Thanks for your comment! I'm always honest in my reviews at least from my point of view.
@@BobBlackBass Yeah, that price difference is crazy. We must have a few extra middle men here LOL. Everyone seems to want a cut of your hard earned money in Australia.
I had a chance to get an SB4 a few years ago in black, but I remember it having a pre-amp. Unfortunately, it slipped through my fingers. Nonetheless, you have a great instrument.
I just bought one thanks to your video.
Great! I hope you love it! Let me know.
I love that you don't upload senseless videos. There's always a reason for your videos.
Hey NewGunGuy, thanks so much. Your comment means a lot to me!

You could be right. Let's see what happens.

Hey Rattmann, you could be right!
@@BobBlackBass Let's hope so! I want one now too.
what was that stingray bass you said is your main one? it looks beautiful
Thanks Puddin,, it's a 2017 Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray with an Alperious pick guard
Maybe Sterling is testing the market. I hope there will be more passive stingray and sterling models coming. Always wanted one.
I hope so too
Nice bass I Harley Benton makes a similar bass ( passive only ) that seems to get good reviews at a very cheap price and they are plentiful
Good to know!
@@BobBlackBass It's called the MB 4 just in case you were wondering
yep, beautiful bass Bob, Think they would sell truck loads. hi from NZ.
Hey Irishpete, I think you're right! Hi from Florida!
Your right as usually! It's not a BFR instrument, they could sell ton's of theses and got the Wen (sp?) bass. I don't get it either?
Thanks, Pine!
Sounds nice! How much did it set you back? I have a 2001 Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling that is similar.
$800. This one is passive.

Just say who the store is!! Spit it out! You are not going to get sued, last I checked its still a free country (kind of) it sounds like guitar center
Hey Sonofsocial, won't get sued but maybe fired!
