Ok but I hate that in the live action movie Aladdin has to convince Jasmine to jump across the gap. In the animated film she does it on her own time and surprises him, *not* herself. That was the moment she became my favorite. She so effortlessly believed she could, and did. She didn't need him. A minute thing but I was sad to miss it in the new movie.
Am I reading this wrong? Because if anything, it’s better if she didn’t just immediately learn how to jump over huge gaps between buildings, as she practically just admitted that she had just learned how to do it by watching Aladdin do it once. Now I’m not saying that she was a Mary sue or anything, but why do you care so much that they gave her a small flaw in the live action? Flaws are literally things that make people relate to characters, like you can’t tell me you relate to Jasmine more when she has absolutely no fear and can instantly learn a complicated skill, when there was never a sign of her being able to do it before. Plus, whether or not she needed convincing, her jumping across the buildings in the live action is still really hard.
Years late Makes alot more sense realistically unlike animated Jasmine out of nowhere with no training despite being her whole life and the "fast learner" thing is hard to buy it
as soon as the series end he should do a first and last watch. I know it's animated and a kid show, but it's so popular I bet the video would do great!

In the original, he goes to help her assuming she’s not going to be able to do it his way and she just…. DOES IT. How. How in the whole wide world did the writers think that removing one of her establishing bad assery moments and still giving her that “I will not be quiet” idiocy and the “I should be enough as a woman” storyline would work? They took someone that was already a kick ass woman without saying a word, got rid of her agency and ability and then want the audience to go along with their ‘girl power wokeness’ narrative? Bunk. Complete Bunk. Edit to add: she’s got more examples of this, but that’s the one I caught today
I know it’s old but that’s something that really bugged me too. In the original she was second in command, what she said goes unless the Sultan overruled her (and by extension Jafar because he’s supposed to be the sultans hand/advisor so when he gives orders the guards assume it’s coming from the sultan). In this movie they invented the “nobody takes her seriously, because woman” angle and then made her sultan at the end. They literally stripped Jasmine of her power and authority just to sell it back to her and call it “female empowerment”. So dumb Naomi Scott did have a phenomenal performance though, ngl

That is exactly my current dilemma right now. As I'm both an independent screenwriter and director. I'm also in the middle of writing my first book and tv show and I've been a fan of Dylan's for a while now and watching these commentaries has both made me laugh and feel stressed because I already don't like clichés and I've been tailoring my work thinking of misdirects that he wouldn't see coming but while also trying to trick him into thinking he's right. With how long I've been watching I've so far got his taste down but it's so frustrating because we've often thought alike but it's hard when I'm also a creator(especially since he doesn't like screenwriters, was playfully hurt that one time he said it in a commentary) and what I think he'll say is constantly in my head😩😩😩😅.
ebby Thank you, you’ll get there love! I'm goin to throw your advice right back at you to just keep at it, as I just turned 25 on labor day, and I am still working toward my dreams! Keep working and don’t ever feel rushed🥰🤗!!!

Oh my god thank u! I was literally screaming BUT HE DID during his whole speech on it 😂 he really needs to pay more attention to what people say in the movies 😂😂
I really feel like Dylan would love movies made of the Grimm brother's fairy tales of the folklore/storytelling of the original oral versions. the Disney telling of the princesses are good for the wholesome side, but there not the real stories. they are actually quite gruesome and sometimes disturbing...
I watch for Dylan’s ranting but I live for the moments when he actually likes something in the movie. Him being a fanboy is the most adorable thing ever
After a thorough watch of most of Dylan's videos, within the commentary aspect, I concluded that the funniest one might be the movies Dylan hates, but the MOST enjoyable to watch are his "wait, this movie is actually really good", he seems to be having such a good time with himself.....yeah, I should've phrased that differently but like.... 28:00 look at that reaction, its so wholesome.
This is good because I mean it's so cool with the effects and it's WILL SMITH. Also it's more appealing to a kids eye. Meaning I saw this before the cartoon version which I've never seen. More people would watch this because will Smith is in it
Dylan the wish didn't just give him a new look. The entire movie is the wish. He didn't say I wish to look like a prince or appear as a prince. He specifically said I wish to become a prince which means he'd have to actually BECOME a prince. Which also explains why he was able to use magic to help in some circumstances and not others.
Dylan: "how do you not recognize him. this is pissing me off." Will explained that genie magic makes people see what they are forced to see. So they see Prince Ali but not aladdin.

Dylan: we can just go do the (animated) Aladdin in a few weeks
Also Dylan: **three years later** today we’re doing the animated Aladdin
I really feel like Dylan would love movies made of the Grimm brother's fairy tales of the folklore/storytelling of the original oral versions.
the Disney telling of the princesses are good for the wholesome side, but there not the real stories.
they are actually quite gruesome and sometimes disturbing...
If you call him Travis one more time, I'm gonna stop watching this video.
Make this the top comment
AM Travis
The mad lad actually did it
xD
K S omg 😂
Dylan: "how do you not recognize him. this is pissing me off."
Me: "Try watching miraculous ladybug🙄🤚"
Same lol

@@lucylovesspencerreid8905 EXACTLY lmao
Jajjajajaj i would love dylan to react to some episodes of miraculous XD
@@amultishiper8173 omg yesss
I watch for Dylan’s ranting but I live for the moments when he actually likes something in the movie. Him being a fanboy is the most adorable thing ever
After a thorough watch of most of Dylan's videos, within the commentary aspect, I concluded that the funniest one might be the movies Dylan hates, but the MOST enjoyable to watch are his "wait, this movie is actually really good", he seems to be having such a good time with himself.....yeah, I should've phrased that differently but like.... 28:00 look at that reaction, its so wholesome.
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Dylan: TRAVIS
DJ Khaled: ANOTHER ONE
This movie feels like I'm watching a really high budget high school production of Aladdin, and the drama teacher is playing the Genie.
it's funny tho
EXACTLY !!!! THANK YOU !!!
This is good because I mean it's so cool with the effects and it's WILL SMITH. Also it's more appealing to a kids eye. Meaning I saw this before the cartoon version which I've never seen. More people would watch this because will Smith is in it
“In a few weeks” but he uploads the cartoon commentary today
Dylan the wish didn't just give him a new look. The entire movie is the wish. He didn't say I wish to look like a prince or appear as a prince. He specifically said I wish to become a prince which means he'd have to actually BECOME a prince. Which also explains why he was able to use magic to help in some circumstances and not others.
When Dylans acted out the "relating to eachother" scene I laughed so hard that I couldn't breath lmao
Brooke cody 420✌🏻✌🏻
Dylan: “the monkey slapped him! That’s the best joke in the movie.”
Me: “you’d love Night at the Museum then”
GOOD LORD LAWRENCE WHY ARE YOU SLAPPING A MONKEY?!
Yes
Legendary
Movie
Omg can he watch it tho
I love the first two so much!!
probably would also love the oscars
Dylan: "how do you not recognize him. this is pissing me off."
Will explained that genie magic makes people see what they are forced to see. So they see Prince Ali but not aladdin.
I love how he says he will do the animated one in a few weeks but its actually 3 years
"abu? is that the short for travis?"
ME: DEAD
“If you call him Travis one more time, I’m gonna stop watching this video”
Aoife Murphy I ruined it, now it’s up to 300
That's literally me right now watching this video lol
"I can go back and do the Aladdin cartoon in a few weeks..."
Three years later
“I can just go back and do the Aladdin cartoon in a few weeks” and then we waited for three years hahahahah😂
dylan: complains about how much money he spends on movies
also dylan: spends five extra dollars to get *ultra* hd
other channels: get roasted by their fans for their opinions and their knowledge of film actors etc
dylan: is burned at the stake for making his lamp pink and not blue when watching cinderella
That lamp should've been blue, dude.
LMAOAO FACTS
I still cannot he believe her made that mistake
i love how he always says he is going to do it in a few weeks and then does it like 3 years later
"in a few weeks" three years later lol
If you call him Travis one more time I'm gonna stop watching this video
