It’s not uncommon to paint brick with limewash paint. Its an aesthetic a lot of people go for. It’s a little easier to remove than regular paint once it completely dries, but still takes some work.
It is only reversible the first 2 days (easily). After it cures, it becomes highly durable. It is still removable, but takes work, like lesr131 says. I really want to redo my kitchen counters and backsplash, so this was just an easy and inexpensive way to change it up until I do. I hated the backsplash the way it was before lol

I almost didn’t do it. I have been wanting to try it for a couple of years. I hated the way it looked before lol - after it was finished, I ended up loving it. It actually looks much better in person than on the video and we have just finished doing new floors that really set it off.
I think it just felt dated to me because I installed it years ago, with my house decorated in dark green and mustard gold lol - I think it’s one of those things that just fit people differently. If it’s any consolation, Matt liked the original way too. He says he likes it this way also, but I really think he liked it better before 🤣
I have to agree with you, the paint makes it look cheap sloppy and unfinished. If you want a cheaper way to go, head over to your nearest dollar store and get yourself some self adhesive floor tiles, they come in thousands of different styles and look better than that

I promise there are things in your house that I would not like, I may even think they look cheap, sloppy, or unfinished; however, I would have enough respect not to tell you that. I just don’t understand why people have to be mean, instead of having different tastes. At the end of the day, it is in MY kitchen….so…..

You can do a thicker layer as well, you can play around with the level of coverage.
