If you want to get closer to God then ask him to get closer to you and make sure that you genuinely want to get closer to him and seek him with all your heart. Reading the bible doesn’t get you closer to God although praying kind of does because praying is just speaking to God and that’s really to important.

I’m closer to God, I can talk about Him to others and pull directly from his word, and I’m overall happier. And now that I do it every day, I don’t want to stop! 10/10 would recommend making reading the Bible and praying a part of your daily routine, even if it’s just a verse to start!
I've been getting really bad abdominal pains and idk why but it's gotten Me somehow closer to god now I pray everyday & read the bible speak to him on a daily basis and now I feel comfort peace and faith 🙏

i understand my situation with god now.I am busy praying and asking him to help me bond with him yet i dont try to spend time with him or read the bible.I even pray for the holy ghosty to convict,yet he does try to convict me but i justify my sins.I need to start reading the bible by settng up bible studies and i have to listen to my spirit when i feel convicted
