unreal that utah didn't get the ball for the first 9 minutes of the 4th quarter, and that washington didn't score on so many frickin' drives. that game was a slugfest
No, it is called if UW had any quality depth at Quarterback, Browning should have been pulled after the first game this year. Browning adds really nothing to the game. He is just mediocre nothing amazing. Just blah. Nothing else but.
The PAC 12 needs Marcus Mariota back at Oregon and Andrew Luck to come back to Stanford to be relevant again. Oregon with Mariota was a serious contender that year. Minshew doesn’t make the cut. Without a super star the PAC 12 is empty.
i agree but the Washington defense is always full of pro caliber players. its probably the only aspect of the pac 12 that can hang with other conferences. Next year maybe Eason and Jt Daniels will step into the superstar rolls.
Yeah but they were the last PAC 12 teams to seriously compete. Washington entered the CFP once and sucked terribly. Stanford was #3 that year and Oregon #2.
browning udfa. likely practice squad or injured reserve for some team. He's just wildly inconsistent and no team will waste a draft pick on him. Maybe seventh round but likely as a qb project. He has potential, but has definitely regressed from 2016.
Byron Murphy was the game changer in this one. He clearly deserved the MVP trophy. There is no way that was pass inference at the end, and the refs got it right. It was a perfect punch out. The pick six was even more amazing. Murphy was a ball hawk tonight. The Dawgs are Pac-12 champs and going to the Rose Bowl!
I just didn't want the game to end on a pass interference non-call. Would have liked to see some more final Utah drive and see what would have happened in the final 30 seconds of the game
Well unlike you Ohio State people, most us people in Washington State have jobs and could not make it down there; we don't have the benefit of the Ohio State welfare system that pays, people who don't work, oh tickets or what or something.
@@MikeProvocateur-tu2jl Come on man... let's keep it classy. It's tough to fill a stadium on a Friday night, the B1G Championship is always packed but it's 8pm on a Saturday. Blame your own conference.
@Trayvon loves Skittles "Overrated Bucknuts" I would love to hear how your school has fared lately, in the last ten years we've won a Rose Bowl, two Sugar Bowls (one Playoff), a Fiesta Bowl, two Cotton Bowls (one Championship).
First off, why do you think everyone in that place was booing Larry Scott? Because he makes every single horrible decision that you can make in regards to getting any kind of exposure for the PAC-12. He is responsible for scheduling the championship at a garbage location like Santa Clara because the 49ers can't fill the seats so they must have thrown a lot of cash at him to have them play it there. ON A FRIDAY, making it difficult for any WA or UT fan to make it out there in the first place if they have to work a job. Larry Scott should be fired for the mismanagement of this entire conference. He is not good for this job. GO DAWGS! PAC-12 CHAMPS! In spite of such mismanagement.
Eh. wait till the bowl games. Sure we don't have half the conference ranked like 2014. But I think were gonna do much better in bowl games than last year.
Wow such a terriable Championship game, and Utah had so many chances to win this game. Oh well at least the PAC 12 can't get into the playoff so this game doesn't really matter anyway.
I love College football so I tuned in to watch this game. But, I was not aware how low the PAC 12 was this season. These teams were pretty bad so I'd hate to see the others. Wow! The ACC is bad this season also but at least they have Clemson. The stadium was not even half full last night for this game so I'm guess the fans knew how bad it was going to be. What happen to Oregon and USC and Stanford that these two managed to make the championship game?
Unfortunate loss for Utah in this game. But they will get another chance in this year's (2019) Pac-12 Championship game against Oregon, and a possible trip to the college football playoffs if they win.
The most anti-climactic "championship" in UW history. Sharp contrast from 2 years ago and the beat down of Colorado. 2018: most under achieving 10 win season in school history.
First, it WAS interference and the Utes would've had the ball on the UW 28 with 27 seconds to go. Terrible non-call. Second, to answer the question, UW got there by beating WSU in the Apple Cup. Third, sparse crowd might partially be because UW just found out 6 days ago they were headed to Santa Clara. Ute fans knew two weeks ago so they could plan better. And there were lots of Ute fans. Did ya hear the boos when the Huskies came out pre-game.? No one in crowd during the presentation because the Ute fans left disgusted with the officiating and the result. And fans for both teams stayed home saving for a trip to Pasadena instead. I know I did. #1 defense in the PAC-12 vs the #5 defense in the country. What did you expect? Red-shirt freshman QB for Utah with just a couple of games under his belt, vs. Jake Browning. And the Utes held Browning and UW without an offensive TD. Seems only right for this game the only TD was a defensive TD, and it was a fluke and a lucky play. Too bad for the Utes in their first PAC-12 Championship game. They acquitted themselves pretty well against UW, but certainly missed opportunities to win this. Losing main offensive weapon Britain Covey first play of the second half really hurt them. Kyle and the Utes against former-Ute Coach Urban Meyer (Kyle was Urban's assistant and succeeded him) would've made a good story line for the Rose Bowl. Oh well. Good thing it's only football and not something important.
The interception at the 0:45 mark was crazy, and then at 1:58 was even more crazy, haha. This was a fun game to watch
Unless Northwestern upsets Ohio State, I want to see Washington vs. Michigan in a Classic Rose Bowl matchup!! 🌷🏟🏈🏆
One of the best defensive battles you'll ever see. Both offenses scored a combined 6 points.
I always love hearing those Larry Scott boos
Fox Sports your announcer be spitting into that mic
Both of these teams are good on defense I wish I could of watched the full game
PAC-12 FB Championship MVP: Byron Murphy (66-Yard Pick-6 TD In The Late 3rd Quarter, 2 INTs)
Can Washington win the Rose Bowl?
FOX Sports no
Fox sports yes
Either against Michigan or Ohio State my answer is not in a 1000 years if they played there Championship game like that tonight.

Unfortunately we don't have a kicking game. If we had utah's kicker we would of had at least 9 more points.
@@MikeProvocateur-tu2jl Tbh his backup is pretty bad too. Huskies should be good next year with Ahmed and Jacob Eason being eligible.
Gosh I wish I could have watched this because I’m a big fan of College Football teams that play good defense.
Murphy went off 😭😭😈😈
2:39 this guys going to be an NFL player in the future
Pac-12 crowds are pretty bare compared to SEC & ACC champ games
There's not anything to cheer for.
The Washington Defense is suffocating their going to be formidable opposition to whatever team they have to play against in their bowl game.
Empty stadium for the trophy presentation. Good job Larry!
Are there any highlights from this game?
Gratz to uw for making it to the rose bowl. Gl there tho... You are going to need it :/

Seriously? The Ducks have never won the National Championship, and Stanford hasn't won one since 1940. Can you say irrelevant?
Yeah but they were the last PAC 12 teams to seriously compete. Washington entered the CFP once and sucked terribly. Stanford was #3 that year and Oregon #2.
2015 and 2016, Oregon and Washington check your facts. Oregon even made it to the national championship game.
Nah, they need USC to be dominant again.
Browning will get to show case his talents in the 🌹 Bowl. Be a 1st rounder.
David Ellis browning? A first rounder???? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Utah had no chance of winning the game. That is why the Dawgs always beat them. The Dawgs won not even trying.
It matters to the players, it doesn’t matter what you think.
How about you learn how to spell “terrible” first before you turn into a sports analyst
Utah never got inside the UW 30. Huskies had plenty of chances of blowing this game wide open, but Browning and Hadman did their best to not score.
Then why are commenting, if your not a fan of either team. Go troll somewhere else.
