    Your analysis makes me smile....you are so right. You have no idea how many years it took me to learn his swing, and I got it to the T. Totally effordless. Thanks

    This is probably one of the most accurate analysis I have ever seen online regarding golf. This is very consistent with the way my coach is teaching me, which is to allow the arm to be extremely passive through the entire swing and let the hip and shoulder drive it. Thumbs up.

      Cheers for the Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Paneevelyn Swinging Clubsman (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great exclusive guide for revealing an effortless golf swing technique minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical success with it.

    Thanks! I do love his swing! That left arm close to the chest is the real secret of golf to me.

      I see more arm swing. I think a lot of people try to use the body too much and leave the club too far behind then having to flip it to try to catch up.

    Good analysis imo. I agree grip pressure has to be light to create soft arms. Also, Louis hands remain close to his body which creates more power. The further the hands/arms move away from the body more power is lost. I enjoyed your take on the best swing tempo in golf.
    Thx

    Great swing! One of the best in the game. 70th in driving accuracy and 90th in GIR, not bad for a long hitter. Only the putting gets in the way of Louis and more tournament victories

    I've never heard a more technical and complex explanation in regards to the left arm bending and then straightening out. I don't know how one learns how to practice this type of stuff, but it's not hard to see why Golf is such a tough game to learn.

    I love how Louis gets to the top of his swing, and I love his tempo and the simplicity of it. But looking at this video I did not know that he is on his toes at impact. I understand that a lot players do this, but I don't think much of it. It's very difficult to be consistent because the amount of 'being on the toes' can vary. The player can be higher or lower off the ground from one swing to the next. It requires a lot of practice to be consistent. IMO at least the left foot for right-handed players should be completely on the ground at ball impact.

    Looks like he has not extended his left shoulder high enough thus slightly bent left arm

    Louis is a single plane swinger his lead arm is on the same plane as his shoulders in the back swing

    Great analysis, I wanna hit it like that! It’s annoying that the guys promoting the next hot swing design, which is typically a cookie cutter shut-to-square straight block who want to tell you that getting the club behind you gets you stuck, causes back problems & caused the Iraq War. In truth, this is the best ball striking method and is the most fun. Shallow divots are easier on the back than taking the leading edge & stabbing it in the ground.

    • @georgesealy4706
      @georgesealy4706 5 лет назад +1

      I have talked with some high level teaching instructors about this. The current philosophy they have favors shallow divits. It's mostly about misses. If a player hits the ball a bit thin with no divit, then the ball will still go near the green although it might be short of the intended target. However, if a player hits the ground even slightly behind the ball, it is going nowhere. The ground takes a lot of energy out of the clubhead before the strike. As you mentioned, shallow divits are also a whole lot easier on the body, especially on the back, hands, and arms. A body can only take so much of pounding turf ball after ball. So a player can practice a lot longer hitting shallow divits.

    So he, Rory and Sergio have soft arms. That is a given. Pitchers throwing heat can do that only with soft arm. Arms with tension can never generate as much speed as soft arms can, all things being equal. So if the arms generate 85% of speed, as some golf science data claims, and the body only 15%, how does Louie or anyone generate maximum speed with a swing powered by the body as you claim?

    • @Golfsmartacademy
      @Golfsmartacademy  7 лет назад

      Good question. Imagine you had a prosthetic arm that couldn't bend. Because the hand speed would be significantly greater than the chest rotation, "golf science data" would still say that the arm generates a significant amount of speed. It's important to know how to navigate the data to see what is useful to your game and what is not.

      I would say that "..some golf science data.." is not accurate or misinterpreted.

    I really don’t understand golf swing analysis, all these golfers do is take the club back then go through.
    I bet he doesnt think of anything during the swing

    All pro golfers use their body to power the club. No exceptions. If you swing with your arms , you will never get better.

      Thorax is the term that TPI 3D uses to describe the upper body. You can use those interchangeably, but the term thorax stuck because it's a more accurate description of the number the system reports.
