Not really possible on a street competition. Doing a tic tac’d choppy turn around and then dropping in awkwardly from an axel stall would be WAY less fluid and way riskier than just getting off the board and dropping in again.
My one gripe with Yuto and most japanese skaters tbh honest is the constant stepping off the board in between tricks. Dennis Busenitz is a great example of doing his best to stay on the board.
He's Japanese and he likely spent a great amount of time studying skateboarding and learning the corrrect techniques and approaches. Gold was deserved.
