Maravilha Rui! Fico a espera! Grande Abraço!
❤
FLavio is a funky name.
I love the hollow body pure sound
Semi hollow body - it’s a 335 not a 330.
that 335 sounds so cool, is it the larry carlton model? what gauge do you use?
Nice guitar, what model Gibson ES is this? 330?
Fundament of Funk= 16th notes (included on "ghost" or "implicit" mode) + Heavy accent on the Pulse One (4 or 8 bar). Funk share the use of 16th notes with *their dad, Jazz* , also hillbilly country, afrocuban music and the Samba from Brazil. Blues is more based on 8th even 12th.
Awesome! Cool sound! Which kind of pick do you use? Dunlop Jazz lll?
Hey man! I normally use the regular Fender Style picks Extra Heavy gauge
4.00 useful palm muting
More funk guitar/bass lessons
Thank you Chito! We will work on that!

There you go, chito, hope you enjoy it!
Hello
Do you have the backing track?
With funk grooves, I always find myself having to use a much thinner pick with some bend to it rather than what I usually use, which is like a standard hard pick. Is this normal or am I doin something sketchy with my right hand,, maybe?
Hey Greg! First, thank you for watching the video! I think there are different ways of doing that with different kinds of picks that will also give you a different result/sound. I would be glad to help you with those questions, in case you are interested, you can contact me here:

Same here. Impossible to use my hard picks
@@thekingofelfland3294 i use a 1.14 pick and i can do this stuff, although maybe it would sound better with a thinner one. i think you just gotta get used to it.
Yo i know I’m late to the party on this and you may have found a resolve but I’ve noticed when I play funk I only expose a small amount of the plectrum. A considerable amount less than when I play other styles. I only use small jazz picks as well, just to give you an idea of how little I use of the pick
Bom é ser brasileiro e entender ingles mesmo assim kk
É bom ser canadense e entender Portugues brasileiro tambem :)
@@dextervegas2967 daí vc humilhou kkkkkkkkkk
Guitar sounds like your action is super low at the nut. Like it!
What kind of plek do you use? Looks quite flexible
I reckon around .7?
Hey man! I am trying to remember, but I think I was using one of those Extra Heavy Fender like plectrums, if I am not mistaken they are around 1.2mm tick
Damn how can I get that drum track
You can get the Drum Genius app.
Ok
What gauge plectrum is that?
Hey man! I am trying to remember, but I think I was using one of those Extra Heavy Fender like plectrums, if I am not mistaken they are around 1.2mm tick
Thanks. That is quite thick, I use an 88 mostly. Interesting how you apply it as it looks very relaxed almost holding back on the attack.
Where you from?
Brazil, my friend!
Whoa, tasty!
Dude we also can mute with left hand the notes too
Fala em português...
I’m gonna show you how to fuck up your playing...lol just kidding
Get the funk outta here
