- This homemade non stick baking " spray" prepares your pans for baking in one easy step. No more greasing the pan and then flouring it.
You just simply spread this stuff onto your pans and you're done! Add your batter to the pan and bake. This homemade non stick spread prevents your baked goods from sticking to the pan like a champ!
I love that it's easy and cheap to make, last forever and works just as good as store-bought baking sprays.
Thanks Janelle for sending me such a lifesaving recipe. I will ALWAYS keep a container of this stuff on hand for baking!

I’m back again looking for the recipe. This stuff works better than anything else that I have ever tried. This recipe lasts about a year. I used a brush to put it in the pans. Thank you to the person that gave us this recipe. It’s a miracle recipe.

Omg! I love that we can see the growth from 12 yrs ago to now! Your videos today looks NOTHING like this and I am so proud to have been following you over the years. Truly a fan over here! The old school way is crazy now that I’ve experienced pan spread!!

Thanks for sharing!! This will be a real time saver!!
This is such a smart concept!!!!!!
@purlstone aww thank you so much! I'm so glad you are enjoying it!
Girl, there's nothing wrong with your pans... they look nice to me!!!! I will be making this... I like to bake and my least favorite thing is greasing and flouring pans... this looks real simple. Keep up the good work!!!
I’ve started making Beer Bread (3.5 cups self-rising flour, heaping 1/4 cup sugar and one can of beer; stir all together until well combined...bake in a medium size prepared loaf pan at 350* for 40-45 minutes. Slather with butter while still hot, cover with foil or plastic wrap so the top will soften and allow to cool before cutting. YUM!)..it’s the best AND EASIEST homemade bread I’ve ever had. My family asked to never buy store bought bread again...so I made this nonstick baking mixture this morning and it worked fabulously!
Thanks for sharing...I'm gonna make some up this weekend!!!!
Can't wait to make this. We don't have baking spray in Australia so need something for my new bundt pan. Thanks for sharing. Love the way you talk! :)

@lovelyladiel Don't you just love this stuff!? I haven't had a cake stick to the pan yet while using it.

@MagnificentReign LOL oh no!! Did you use a glass baking pan?
@lifegoodinpc just in the cabinet, pantry, counter... as you would regular cooking spray.
Great tip
@meluvself yep it sure can
Thanks, this looks great. Just one question, are the three ingredients in equal parts, or what are the measurements?
Thanks for sharing! I could've used this when I used your baked egg omelet recipe last week lol! I tore my eggs up trying to roll them and my pan wasn't buttered good enough!
@DancingChakra Honey it's fabulous!
WONDERFUL!!!
Great tip, thanks.
Thanks so much for sharing!
love your channel.
Awesome!!
Great video Thanks for sharing
Does it go in the fridge/ cupboard? And is crisco lard? Can I use margarine?
I'm gonna try this. What is the substitution of crisco? Thank you..can i use margarine?
Crisco is a vegetable shortening. You could also just use your favorite oil in a spray bottle. I suggest a metal or glass (you should be able to find one on Amazon.com) because plastic can letch.
Awesome!
Thanks for the recipe I will try, but always sift the flour ;)
@b1zmyi34 she doesn't have a youtube, but I think she might have a blog. I'l check and post the link if she does.
Thank you, for sharing!

What if I only have butter? Will it work just as good?
wow! thanks
How do you store it, in the fridge or cabnet?
Just wondering, do you still use this when you bake? I'm fairly new and I've yet to hear about this spread. Good thing I watched your carrot cake video ;) Yum by the way!
does it have to be crisco?
And how much butter do we need if we are making a one layer cake
you have the same basting brush i have! except mine is green.
Can I use butter instead of Crisco.
Does this need to be refrigerated?

Love this video
Thanks for sharing
God bless you🥰❤️❤️❤️
@divascancook Yes girl I did. It was a mess. They fell apart but it was still tasty. Just hell to clean up lol. I showed my boyfriend the pictures on your blog on how it was SUPPOSED to look and come out the pan all cleanly. He just laughed at me. Hopefully this will work out better.
This is great for big bacon jobs. For a little ones like a toaster oven just a little Crisco is good or butter.
i went to the store today to buy a pan spray and it was 7.99 Euro :O coz its new over here (Italy) such a ripp off! so i left it! :( thanks for sharing im gonna try this we dont have crisco but i have SPRY i think its similar... :)
thanks you
thats whats up im going to make some
what is crisco? Is it butter?
Marianne Wolf kinda but its made from vegetables
i use it all the time.
No butter doesn't work if you want to store it. It will sour which is why they use crisco. I've always used butter or margarine instead of crisco because it tastes better and is healthier. But crisco doesn't need refrigeration and butter does. For now, just use butter then coat with flour. Faster then mixing this up.
what's a crisco?
can u use that on a waffle maker
@LissCanDoMakeup shortening is the product. crisco is the brand. like when people say kleenex instead of facial tissue.
Can you use this for a bundt cake as well?
Sheena Harris I did.. But. in the crease, it stuck in places.. With my second one.. I applied a little bit more in the creased area.. Voilà, it came out good.. But, be careful. not to add to much, or it, will be greasy.. third time, was the charm..
👍🏼
@FORFHETTy use equal parts of each.
I know this might come off as rude (I'm honestly not trying to be), but couldn't you just pour some oil in the pan and spread it around with your brush? I do this all the time, even before I watched American recipe videos with "cooking spray" and this is the first time i've seen someone butter their pan and then flour it. Thanks
@divascancook nope, bed bath and beyond.
HILARIOUS.
How am I just finding out about this? This is unacceptable on my part. I have to try this out now!
What is CRISCO please?.
Is crisco, meant to be "butter or margarine"?.
Vegetable shortening. It looks like an oily paste. It normally looks like a white paste. The reason hers is yellow she used the butter crisco (probably butter flavored) or something.
Food market. It's a vegetable shortening.
oh my goodness i literally just put a cake in the oven! now i know for next time...
Seems more fattening than just using cooking spray
It’s not a spray…
I'mBAKInG RIGHT NOW BITCh!!!! JK
I did this and it still stuck
Not sure what I did wrong...
I use emulsion of 5% liquid lecithin in vegetable oil. To use it just brush the mixture on pan evenly. Bread just slide off the pan with no resistance.
so not really a SPRAY!
or just put your finger in a ziplock bag and put the geace into the pan
These comments are ridiculous 😅😅 All these questions and no common sense.
Really? Get out! Didn't think this would work.
