Your images are good - what camera have you used? I went there with a Canon PowerShot SX70 HS. Now I have a new Nikon Coolpix P1000 and I wonder if it can take equally good images?
Great videos from you two birders. After my years in East Africa and the Middle East I would like to do Gambia but not sure of birding alone without a guide. I don’t want a long list, just a few endemics. Would be interested in your thoughts.
@@Groenespecht not really, you get pestered a bit by people who want to sell you things, they can be quite persistent but in my experience always friendly. I like the people a lot and it's them that are a key reason i have been back a few times ( as well as the wildlife ).
I have a question on Gambian birds: very frequently, in my garden in Sanyang, The Gambia, I hear a repeated bird song - it sounds like an Italian insult : bárbaro-bárbaro-bárbaro… I can’t see the bird (bad eyes) but am curious. Do you know what bird this could be?

Honestly, go. It's a great country, I have been 4 times and still feel there is more to see.
