- This is a handmade, custom built electric baritone ukulele -- 19" scale, spruce body, roasted maple neck; 2 Fender USA P-Bass pickups, and a Teisco-style vintage tremolo bridge.
Clean tones until 1:52, some more overdriven sounds after that.
I can build electric ukuleles and guitars according to your preferences!
If you are interested in having one custom built, email me: sodoelectrics@gmail.com
This is literally my dream instrument
DO WANT

This is also my dream instrument
That roasted maple neck is gorgeous. This is on my wishlist, for sure.
I absolutely adore this. Appreciate the love you show to baritone ukes, I've got an electro acoustic and want to get a fully electric one soon!
It's a beauty. I will share on Humble Baritonics, the Baritone Ukulele Blog. Jeff
Thank you for mentioning the pickups you used! That was the last piece of information I needed to start my own project.
This. This is what made me want an electric baritone as my first
Absolutely beautiful instrument! I love the use of precision bass pickups. If I ever build myself a tenor, it's probably going to use DiMarzio split p pickups.
The coolest ukulele I have seen
This is amazing dude! I’d love to have something like this one day.
This is gorgeous.
Thanks!
Awesome. Beautiful instrument.
Omg it would be awesome to play some surf music on that! I love your instruments
man, I want one now, it would be awesome!!
thi is sooo crazy
I want one it just sounds amazing
That is absolutely beautiful, and sounds fantastic (especially that SOYCD at the end)! I was looking to upgrade the horrible stock bridge in my Vorson electric uke and lucked into your vid. Many thanks for posting!
Thanks!
How do I order one?
They're on etsy I think
For 700$
THE DREAM!
That one really sounds great!
Is fantastic
This is my dream instutment
Se oye excelente seria bueno escuchar un baritono doble cuerdas electrico
This! This is what I’ve been looking for!! Damn!
Do you have a store or anything?
Hi - you can email me sodoelectrics@gmail -- I do custom builds out of Montreal. Sometimes I put ukes for sale on Reverb ( reverb.com/shop/sodo-electrics ), but at the moment I don't have any for sale. If you want a custom built one, get in touch though!
Bruh I wish I was good enough at the baritone to justify me getting one of these😂
This sounds amazing!
Very cool uke.
Thanks!
Nice Pink Floyd sounds... 👏
Sounds awesome.
Hi! That´s a great electric baritone uke! Is it a unique piece or can it be purchased? If so, where? Thank you!
THAT IS AMAZING!!!
Can you give a tutorial on how to play this?? This instrument sounds amazing I’ll be getting mine soon as well 🌻🌻
I've been searching where you purchase something like that
@@buster1173 u can find on esty some electric ukuleles but not the same as this one though
They’re expensive like starts from $736
@@buster1173 Hi - I build them custom. You can email me sodoelectrics@gmail.com
*Van S like this bro.*
How much to one of these cost please? this is brilliant.
Hi - you can email me sodoelectrics@gmail.com thanks!
i love it
Great 🎸🎸🎸👏👏👏😎😎😎
I have not been able to find a bridge for an electric baritone uke build that has the wider spacing of a baritone ukulele. The guitar string spacing is too close together for my fingers...
For one with a non-tremolo bridge, you can use this 3 saddle bridge and modify it (use the two outer saddle screw holes, add two between them and then use 4 individual saddles):

@@sodoelectrics272 Thanks for the link! :-)
Run, run, run, run...
This an Amazing sound. How much for one ukulele like this?
Hi - thanks! Email me sodoelectrics@gmail.com -- I can quote you some options...
What do you do use for strings?
Chicken Man - the middle four of an electric guitar set. In this case, .013, .017, .026, .036
@@sodoelectrics272 Are they in the G C E A ukulele tuning?
That one is a baritone so it is DGBE
@@sodoelectrics272 Ah ok thank you!
Do you have anything for sale at the moment?
How much and how long to make mate?
Hi - Depending on options between 600-800$ (+case and shipping) - takes about 6-8 weeks. You can email me sodoelectrics@gmail if you want to discuss it!
absolute beauty, how much are these usually?
Between 600-800$US depending on the pickup quality and the complexity of the finish.
Is the frets’ size any smaller than an electric guitar?
Hi. The spacing is smaller - like a guitar with a capo on the 5th fret. The frets themselves are regular medium frets like you’d find on an older Fender guitar.
where to buy???? nice!
Thanks - I build them custom - you can email me sodoelectrics@gmail.com
@@sodoelectrics272 thanks, I'll message soon.
Cool ukulele! I'm learning the uke and want to know, why are you wiggling on that thing and what's it called?
It's a tremolo arm, and it's not ukulele-specific. Look up 'guitar tremolo arm'.
@@johnwilloug2717 OK thanks!
If you looked that up, you'll find it's really called a whammy bar, or vibrato bar, and I repeated a common mistake (oops, sorry). If you have an electric uke you could always just get a tremolo pedal for a somewhat similar effect (but based on volume rather than pitch variation).
ruclips.net/video/s-8gjy8yIfQ/видео.html
@@louis2211
its a whammy bar
For roughly what price range would you sell one like this for?
Between $500-700 depending on the types of wood used, and mainly the pickups being the big variable. The one in this video closer to 500$.
Sounds amazing. Custom tremolo?
Thanks. It's a Teisco-style knockoff -- you can find them on eBay for around 35$. I use a Wilkinson roller bridge with it - it balances decently for a 4 string.
Does the baritone electric sound very different to the soprano electric ?
The tuning is different -- it is DGBE. This one is how a soprano sounds: instagram.com/p/B01BIVFHjtj/?
SoDo Electrics thank youu!
What is this song/chord progression? It’s so pretty.
Mostly just noodling/improvising... but around 2:00 it's Run Like Hell (Pink Floyd)
Baby bass do do do do
To they sell them in Enlgand? , I'm a rock person but like ukes a lot, so that is a solution xD.
I have built a few for customers in England, yes. You can email me sodoelectrics [at] gmail [dot] com
On a scale from BOGUS to FAR OUT, how do you rate this thing for surf music? Sounds like you can get some gnarly beach tones.
With these Pbass pickups only so-so for surf tones... I built another one with Jazzmaster style pickups that could get insane surf tones
what kind pf pickup do you use?
It's a Pbass pickup split into two. But I have built similar baritones with mini-humbuckers, and with lipstick pickups...
How much are these?
Depends a little on the finish and the pickups you want to use, but one like this is in the $800USD range
how much would you sell one exactly like this?
Between 600-800$US depending on the pickup quality and the complexity of the finish.
How much do you want for one like this?
email me : sodoelectrics@gmail.com -- most of the baritones I build go for between 600-700$ depending on the options
what brand of whammy is that?
Mono Ped It is a Korean made knock-off of an old Teisco/Silvertone style trem
@@rbrtstphns, uke size or modified?
Mono Ped it’s a standard guitar trem - I just didn’t use the two E strings
What strings would you use on that?
the middle 4 strings of any electric guitar set will work (if you want to tune it DGBE)
How much is that?
PedroBear That one is sold, but I build these custom for usually between 600-800$, depending on what you are looking for.
@@rbrtstphns Some day I will back and buy one.
I n e e d I t
😱
Run like hell...
At that point its basically a guitar with 4 strings
And at that point it’s basically an ukulele.
19 inch scale, pretty short scale for a guitar... :-)
Hey SoDo Electrics! I LOVE YOUR STUFF!!! 😀 I only have one question. how can I reach you I checked for a biz email or biz telephone # but the only thing s that I found were your yooying page and social media links. I love this baritone and I know it's already sold.
Hi - thanks! I have an IG page @sodoelectrics and a FB page facebook.com/sodoelectrics or you can email me direct: sodoelectrics@gmail.com
Why not just get a electric guitar? You can do the same stuff and have more strings to mess around with
*Just get a guitar with 2 p90s and a trem*
Jarom Alcorn some people prefer this
jamba joey
Then I don’t get those people
Just imagine playing with a tiny neck and less strings.. 🤢🤮
The only reason i would get it is because it’s portable
Stupid question
Indeed, considering you don’t know punctuation, as you didn’t put a question mark at the end of your sentence.
@@theboig6229 why not get a 10 string classical guitar? more strings more stuff to mess around with
or just a chapman stick, more to mess around with
alternatively, buy a harp and have the most to mess around with
I need one so bad. Mac toan
annabelleshaus It wld be alot cheaper to get a squier or fender stratocaster, and get some pedals, cuz thats what mac uses
@@friedwingman3843 but than it wont be a ukulele tuning anymore
What pups you using
Standard P-Bass pickup (split into two)
