I think #9 is my most favorite of Serling’s appearances. The way he ominously appears on the tv screen and can freeze time is so chilling. That said, the whole plot expository device of him appearing also does a great job of adding tension, especially considering his appearances are at random and this gives him an almost supernatural vibe. As if he’s a powerful observer ruminating on the follies of man.

Whenever one thinks of the Twilight Zone episode with William Shatner, they think of the one with the gremlin on the wing of the plane. But how they forget the one with the fortune telling machine. I believe the latter is by far the better episode.
I also prefer the original title to number 3 ... A Private World of Darkness. The common title gives too much away, which is not a trait of the Zone.

Technically he does at the end of season 1 I believe. Or do you mean as an actor playing a character, instead of just being the narrator?

Strange though, Betty Davis smoked cigarettes well into her 70s. Many other actors, singers and dancers smoked cigarettes even using them part of their method.

Here is a question... Is Rod Sterling the God of the Twilight universe? He moves through the world as he pleases. He knows the beginning and end of every story , and is not affected by the universe

Rod Serling and John Facenda were the best narrators in history. Morgan Freeman is no slouch either.

Me:"Hey!!! wait a minute you died years ago!"
Rod: "Or perhaps you are the one who died years ago."
    Me:😳😳😳😵💀👻👻👻
Rod: "A man who wanted to write an edgy RUclips comment is now trapped in the void of wondering if this witty comment is gonna blow up or get lost in the sea of other comments...no satisfaction, no end...just sallow existence".....
