Isobel Young’s fearlessness as a journalist will always leave my jaw dropped. Incredible bravery and work in this video, I hope the women in Iran find freedom one day 👏💔
What an embarrassment to get kicked out within one day for breaking their visa conditions that they agreed to adhere to before they flew to Iran. Then the audacity to claim they put a gun to her head is so ridiculous 😭
The women-led uprising was orchestrated by Komalah and Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK), with the assistance of MI6 and Mossad, in an attempt to plunge Iran into chaos once again. The false information that she had been beaten was initially reported on BBC News, VOA Persian, and Saudi-funded Iran International satellite channels. This narrative was propagated by her cousin (on her mother's side), Erfan Mortezaei, a member of Komalah and an operative, who was not even present at the time of her arrest. Mahsa's brother, who was with her at the moment of her arrest, neither reported nor mentioned anything about any beating. Her parents saw their daughter's body when she was pronounced dead and also stated that there was no evidence of beating. They were the ones who revealed that their daughter had undergone brain surgery, not the Iranian government. After a few days, they changed their narrative following a meeting with her uncle, Safa Aeli (from her mother's side), a Kurdish resident who was neither with Mahsa at the time of her arrest nor saw Mahsa's body. After this meeting, they began appearing on the aforementioned satellite channels and started to protest. It is worth pondering why they changed their minds after the meeting with her uncle. The video recording of Mahsa's arrest and the CCTV footage of her arrival at the detention center are widely available on the internet. She was neither beaten nor bled from any part of her body. Upon her arrival at the detention center, a female officer instructed her to sit, and she complied by sitting on a chair. After a few moments, she stood up and then fell unconscious. The fact that Iran arrested two French spies, Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris, who were attempting to recruit and coach teachers in Iran during the unrest, speaks volumes. A documentary featuring their confessions of espionage was aired on one of Iran's provincial network channels. Isobel Yeung might wonder why they didn't prevent her from entering the country in the first place. They had her on their radar and waited to see what she was up to. When she waw about to depart, they arrested her and seized her footage. Why did they seize her footage? Because she was attempting to incite chaos, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Recently, we have seen many RUclipsrs in Iran, filming their travel vlogs, and none of them were stopped. You might wonder why? It's because those RUclipsrs are minding their own business and enjoying their trips, while you are meddling in a country's internal affairs, which in this case were orchestrated and executed by Iran's sworn enemies. Ibrahim Alizade, the Kurdish communist politician, the official spokesperson of the Komalah Kurdistan's Organization of the Communist Party of Iran (Komalah), and concurrently the first secretary of Komalah, confirmed in an interview on the Saudi-funded Iran International satellite channel, after his statement about the death of Mahsa Amini, that it was their doing. He stated, and I quote the English translation: "If we want these battles to reach a definitive conclusion, we must clearly define these future movements and future political tactics. The fundamental difference that this movement had with other protests that have taken place in Iran in recent years is that this movement was conscious, led, and organized, and its day and time were determined, and its result is also determined."

Thirteen years ago, in a documentary called "The Money Masters", we asked the question why is America going broke. It wasn't clear then that we were, but it is today. Now the question is how can we get out of this mess. Foreclosures are everywhere, unemployment is #skyrocketing - and this is only the beginning. America's economy is on a long, slippery slope from here on. The bubble ride of debt has come to an end. What can government do? The sad answer is - under the current monetary system - nothing. It's not going to get better until the root of the problem is understood and addressed. There isn't enough stimulus money in the entire world to get us out of this hole. Why? Debt. The national debt is just like our consumer debt - it's the "principal and"(personal addition) interest killing us. Though most people don't realize it the government can't just issue it's own money anymore. It used to be that way. The King could just issue stuff called money. Abraham Lincoln did it to win the Civil War. Now, today, in our crazy money system, the government has to borrow our money into existence and then pay interest on it. That's why they call it the National Debt. All our money is created out of debt. Politicians who focus on reducing the National Debt as an answer probably don't know what the National Debt really is. To reduce the National Debt would be to reduce our money - and there's already too little of that. No, you have to go deeper. You have to get at the root of this problem or we're never going to fix this. The solution isn't new or radical. America used to do it. Politicians used to fight with big bankers over it. It's all in our history - now sadly - in the distant past. But why can't we just do it again? Why can't we just issue our own money, debt free? That, my friends, is the answer. Talk about reform! That's the only reform that will make a huge difference to everyone's life - even worldwide. The solution is the secret that's been hidden from us for just over 100 years - ever since the time when author L. Frank Baum wrote "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." www.filmsforaction.org/watch/the-secret-of-oz-2009 #PositiveMoney. #Borrowing from privately owned/funded Central Banks #legally through legal instruments creating #debt as supposed to creating your #money #lawfully is a #crime against #humanity. If you read western literature and essays about life in Europe and USA ,you would know it was the same about a hundred years ago for women in these regions also. Not just wrists , ankles also and hands . Hence they wore gloves not to physically touch strange men’s hands , it was for fashion as we are led to believe . The difference is the west has completely lost its sense of modesty, now we can walk around topless in some American states or just wear nipple covers . Is this extreme form of immodesty in the name of freedom what we desire? It’s the degradation of society . Regarding hijab and women can choose . But if it’s an Islamic state and the shariah laws are implemented then there is no choice on obligatory matters . Hijab is obligatory . So the only solution is for those who don’t want to follow the laws is to relocate . I know relocation isn’t always an option, especially when finances are involved . But would we encourage ppl to break the laws in Britain for example because we didn’t like them? Sadly we have to follow the laws. And if we choose violence to force change then we have to be open to violence in return . The governments won’t walk away silently Btw I do wear hijab, but I came to it myself . I’m not sure how I would have felt about being forced to wear it. I guess if that’s what happened in my country from puberty I would have viewed it as the “norm”. But as it is I lived in a home which was Muslim but quite liberal in not implementing this and other religious practises . But I had the opportunity to understand hijab and why it’s an obligation in my faith. I think a lot of these women protesting don’t truly know the concept of hijab. They are simply viewing it as a tool of oppression because this is what the government and media has portrayed And if they have personally been assaulted for not wearing hijab, what other reaction can we expect ?
@@annguha9000 it’s not really disgusting. Anything can be pretty when it comes to your partner. But needing half of the population to cover up because they literally lust all over is. Disgusting how it’s these religious men that can’t control their minds rather than the normal men. Funny.

Brings tears to your eyes when you see this level of fearless, investigative journalism with a humanist touch. Hats off to Vice and Isobel who boldly confronted these rigid, narrow-minded, horrible people who supress and torture women in the name of their protection.
from what i see is they are trying to protect their country from American influence which is what every country on the planet needs to do or else end up like ukraine and iraq
Iran is an important and strategic country in the West Asia region. America, Israel and its allies always seek to make Iran insecure so that they can do the same things that happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Palestine in Iran. Of course, there are deceived people in every country, but most people are aware of the threat of enemies and do not play on their ground. We Iranian people have no problem in terms of security and freedom and all people should respect the laws.
As an American I am always shocked and amazed at the bravery of these young women and men. Fighting a system of oppression and control where you can and do lose your life for your voice and actions is mind blowing. I commend these brave brave people. ❤
The civil war in Iran, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries is not for the benefit of the people, but for the benefit of their opposing governments

Dear, this is a propaganda video. Please watch only 5 minutes of this video from inside Iran and tell me if it supports what she is claiming. ruclips.net/video/-XSYvFVDPHI/видео.html . Iranian women are some of the most educated, socially placed and protected. Please do your research or let me know if you need any additional information about Iran and the reason why such propaganda is happening.
This journalist is incredibly brave and outspoken. As as Iranian I sincerly appreciate your reporting. You are shedding ligh on a very dark middle age brutal regime taken Iran hostage. Well done!
Incredibly one sided. We have 4/5 women being sexually assaulted but you call them liberated. We have an issue with an ageing population. You call their families ants and say they’re destroying this fine planet. We are backwards. They want life and a secure family. Nothing is perfect in life but if swap my capitalist life for theirs ANYDAY.
Religion is never the problem, its the hunger of humans to corrupt power. Prophet (Sm) in his lifetime never forced anyone to wear hijab. There is not a single verse in Quran that forces any rules on anybody. Radicalism is the problem.
The most damning part of the interview with The Minister of Women's Affairs is when she said "We consider hijab as a kind of safety" at the 25:45 mark. It is "safety" because wearing the hijab will help women avoid being beaten by a people who believe women should always wear them.
Shows you how many ga'zillion of years ahead we are compared to ppl whom think like this. All of these social issues stemming from how absorbed that part of the world is steeped in in-regards to the moral-dimension of Islam (but more greatly, Abrahamic-religions- I'm not only trying to punch at Islam here. Abrahamist-religions are the culprits behind holding back human progress imho).
Do you know why this is an issue in Iran? The monarchy that the UK and US supported for decades suddenly banned hijab in a predominantly Muslim country. This led to a lot of stress for women who were not comfortable with going into society without it. It led to a lot of women isolating themselves at home, some even committing suicide. A few decades later, some time after the revolution took place in 1979, some of those more hardline clerics and their supporters remembered that, and determined that they'd make hijab compulsory. Either way it's a problem forcing women to wear it or not wear it. But the cultural context is very important to understand what's going on, instead of thinking you Westerners are the more "ahead" and "civilized" ones. So many of our country's problems originate from the actions of your governments. It's the same across a lot of other countries throughout the world.
This was crazy, I got goosebumps. The questions that you ask the vice president! Man. This was an amazing but unbelievably scary documentary. I've commented this on Isobel's other middle-eastern documentaries - she's just incredibly courageous and intelligent. You are an inspiration.

The West has tried military intervention and failed. Tried sanctions and failed. Now they are grasping at provoking the population for so called human rights. The goal is the same, to subjugate iran. The West cares so much about hijab huh? Yeah right. Where are your human rights for G.az.a? Forget about hijab, a non-issue if there ever was one. The issue of hijab is chosen because it has many easy tropes to tap into. What you are witnessing is the biggest propaganda effort to divert and dilute your attention from the real oppressors, the West. Why all these anti-Iran pieces now? Because G.az.a has decimated the Western case on being on the moral high ground. Don't fall into propaganda. It is never about human rights or caring for the rights of women, it is about money and influence in the Western sphere. Iran is a huge thorn for the West. It is a country that is firm in its positions and has countless resources and history. Silly Iranians, don't be subjugated by the smallest of issues like hijab.

Yes, the West is so brave and they care so much about freedom and HUman rights..🤣 Btw The West is also still occupying iraq and stealing their oil.. Why does the West need a safezone in Baghdad? Arent they the good guys? They liberated Iraq right? So why are Westerners not safe in Iraq, why do Iraqis want to kill Westerners? I don't understand, the West are the good guys, right???

I usually avoid recalling memories of those days and the things we've gone through. I really respect your report as someone who has seen those days. I remember the hope of overthrowing the dictator, the anger we had after brutally murdering Mahsa Amini and denying the cause of her death, and also the fear of death and prison and torture we all had. I'll share some of the memories I have from that time here: In the first days of the protests after brutally murdering Mahsa Amini, I decided to go to the downtown to directly get involved into the protests. There were many of the regime's "special guard" and also many people who were there to start protesting. A man chanted slogans and they chased him and hit him with taser and baton and forcing him to get into a police van. He was just an ordinary person being hit for what he said. I walked by and kept silent. A little further I found a group of people and joined them, there were people from all ages, teenager, mature and old people, man and woman. We walked a little bit and shouted and chanted slogans. After a while, we heard a sound; it was around 20 guards riding motorcycles, shooting tear gas and firing paintballs, I was shot with paintball which didn't hurt because it was from far away, and also the tear gas entered my eyes. I separated from the people and hid in a nearby restaurant. luckily they didn't enter the restaurant. I stood there for a little bit and took breath and drank some water. As I saw it safe outside, I moved to find group of people. There were a lot of "special guards" and also some regime's men who were dressed just like ordinary people. After walking a little bit further, I saw three women standing arm in arm in front of around 20 "special guards" on the other side of the road. I stood and cursed. Then suddenly the "special guards" started attacking them with taser and baton, a man stood against them and tried to protect the women and the guards hit him hard until he was bleeding. I shouted and cursed but suddenly saw a regime's man who was dressed like other people touching me and telling me, "what are you saying?". He didn't want to catch me because he was one and the reason he was there was to identify and follow, not to be recognized. After that I changed my path a few times to be sure no one is following me. Things have changed a lot since then. Many university students have been banned from entering their universities or from continuing their education, a lot of teachers and professors were fired from schools and universities. People have lost their lives some have become blind after the guards shooting at them with real guns. It has damaged our emotions after seeing so much cruelty and pain. Most of the things have not been joyful since then. I'm not sure what will happen in the future, I hope freedom and happiness and felicity for my people. God bless us all.
Really feeling sad of what you and most of the Iranians have gone through. I really hope and pray that one day you will be free from the cruel Mullahs. Love ❤️ and best wishes for your revolution from India 🇮🇳

No what you’re saying is not true. If 85% of Iranians wanted regime change, the current government would have been overthrown in a matter of days. The truth is majority of Iranians (83%) voted for Sharia. So it’s not going to change for a long time.

What's the difference between female and male?

On Thursday 20th November 2014, for the first time in 170 years, UK parliament has debated the creation of money. Few people know that 97% of our money supply is created not by the government (or the central bank), but by commercial banks in the form of loans.
As the results of our recent #poll show, most MPs lack a sufficient understanding of money creation. A worrying number of our MPs do not understand where money comes from. This leaves them ill-equipped to predict another financial crisis, deal with rising debt, housing bubbles or understand a fundamental driver of inequality.

Frank Baum wrote "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."

The governments won’t walk away silently
Btw I do wear hijab, but I came to it myself .
They are simply viewing it as a tool of oppression because this is what the government and media has portrayed
And if they have personally been assaulted for not wearing hijab, what other reaction can we expect ?

I don't force them to wear it I don't bother them..i just wear what I want as others can wear mini skirt or colorful hair.or tatooes etc...BT I understund if somebody who isnt muslim and is force to wear hijab its not good it shouldn't be! ..same way i dont like situation in France , where muslim girls have to remove scarf when they go to school , christians cant wear cross on the neck. And Sikh people can't wear turban to cover their hair ..it is same bad situation as this one ....
"Not killing people is a moral thing and a moral thing should not be mandatory or binding. If someone doesn't kill someone out of fear, that lack of murder has no value". What sort of logic is that? Mandatory hijab or not is a different question, but that logic is not going to be used anywhere else.

@@donaldnuney6347 Ffs, way to miss the point of ANY of this. Can you understand that it's not all about what you or other men find attractive? Can you understand that women in Iran are in this situation precisely because some men decided that their opinions on what's beautiful and classy in a woman is SOOO important, just like you did right now? It doesn't matter that you draw the line in a different place than those men - you still seem to be looking at women like their main value lies in how well they fit in with your expectations of attractiveness. She's walking around protected by Iranians. C'mon.

I hope she will have the honesty and courage to prepare a report on the dictatorships of the Persian Gulf, which are hereditary governments and have good relations with the West, or on the Gaza genocide.
Courage is to challenge the US-led world domination system, like the journalists who were killed by Israel, not to go safely and report and come back and show an oppressed face.
This is called true journalism.. thank you for making such great honest report from the inside and asking those questions.. This just shows a tiny tiny bit of what people in Iran have been suffering with daily for the past 40 something years!!
She should show how millions of people in the Middle east are suffering from the Western illegal invasions. She should make a video about the millions of innocent people killed in the middle East after being illegally invaded by the West.. She should make avideo about all the warcrimes the west has committed in the Middle East. Or make a video about how the West is never punished for al the crimes the have committed.
Iraq 1 million dead, Syria 500.000 dead, Afghanistan 250.000 dead, Yemen 350.000 dead. this is just a small list..
Yes, the West is so brave and they care so much about freedom and HUman rights..🤣
Btw The West is also still occupying iraq and stealing their oil..
Why does the West need a safezone in Baghdad? Arent they the good guys? They liberated Iraq right? So why are Westerners not safe in Iraq, why do Iraqis want to kill Westerners? I don't understand, the West are the good guys, right???

Westerners shouldn't be pointing fingers and lecturing others, they are in no position to do so, they are the worst offenders of Human Rights...
It's not Iran invading other nations and killing millions of people, that's the West! So who are you to lecture anyone?
Why don't you worry more about the mass killings your nation has committed, why do people like you care more about how women are dressed in Iran instead of the warcrimes The West has committed?

I usually avoid recalling memories of those days and the things we've gone through. I really respect your report as someone who has seen those days.
I remember the hope of overthrowing the dictator, the anger we had after brutally murdering Mahsa Amini and denying the cause of her death, and also the fear of death and prison and torture we all had.
I'll share some of the memories I have from that time here:
In the first days of the protests after brutally murdering Mahsa Amini, I decided to go to the downtown to directly get involved into the protests.

Is it the hijab that is the problem or is it the brutality of the police?
The interview situation with the Minister felt intensely toxic. I wonder how pissed she already was by Isobel's way of wearing the hijab. And the way she let herself fall back onto the backrest of her chair and turned away her eyes after answering made me feel like she wished to kill the VICE team for such straightforward questions. Knowing she would create more of a problem with imprisoning them or worse, she knew she had to bite the bullet and let them go, which pissed her even more. Very brave endeavor, the entire report. The Iranian people deserve to succeed in their efforts to overcome the regime. I hope, those in power today and those 'security' forces, who tortured and killed harmless citizens due to their alternative opinion will be in prison soon. And the political prisoners of today will be free.
1)I'm surprised the VP was a Woman.
2)The VP has to tow the "Party Line" if she values her own life.
What VICE is not telling you: Saudi Arabia has a much more restrictive hijab law than Iran. Iranian women can show a little bit of the hair. Not so in Saudi Arabia. But it is Iran which gets the criticism because it is not a US / western ally like Saudi Arabia..
