At 91, Ann Robinson (Juliandra) is the only cast member of the Rocky Jones series still living (as of November 2020). She was 25 at the time of this episode. Originally a stunt woman, she was later part of Paramount's golden circle of new stars in the early 1950s but had only one leading role at the studio, in producer George Pal's The War of the Worlds (1953), and was one of many who seems to "gravitate" toward Sci-Fi.
@Robert Hill, so true, the Scotty Beckett story is a heart breaker. This episode seems to really miss Scotty's comedic touch. His character didn't appear to be that important until it wasn't there.
Jimmy Lydon ( replacement for Scotty Becket) was an outstanding actor racking up over 50 movies and numerous tv appearances to his credit. I have a number of his movies and enjoy his performances. Here, however, he seems a bit out of place. Oh, he does fine, but his character lacks the Comedic relief that Scotty gave for his character. Scotty, having been arrested for Bouncing bad checks, and “ other” assorted charges. He was a hard drinker and gambler known for not paying his debts.( a very sad ending lay in store for him). He was, nonetheless a fine actor, capable of almost any type of character. Very versatile. Jimmy Lydon, nonetheless played his part with his usual professionalism. And in that regard, he was excellent. Again, thanks to whoever posted these. They are fun to watch, even for an old kid like me, who missed them when they were first aired. 📻🙂
I wonder if Scotty Beckett watched the later episodes while in jail. Sadly, by this time, Maurice Cass (Prof Newton) had died and was replaced. Slimy DR Reno, played by Thomas Brown Henry, who usually portrayed good guys.

Rockwell Stapleton Jones IV, known by his nickname Rocky, and Antonio DelPonte, known by his nickname Winky
Watching from European Union, Lithuania.
Rocky Jones looked like Rocky Marciano in the boxing match. The little guy slipping in under the big guy's punches.

Henry was a great character actor. Usually in a supporting role, a scientist, or general or something.
