I believe the free text is copyright free (not the premium text) and if you download a template you need to make some changes to not get in trouble.
Don’t use canva. Lots of people getting busted for canva covers

Hey Emerald, you just open a new project inside of Canva.. but you'll have to pick out a specific dimensions that matches the size you chose for your book inside of KDP. Let me know if that helps!
How to actually write an ebook? like what software is used to write and design the content inside the ebook?
Microsoft word.. then you upload the word file.. you can download their template and just fill it in yourself

Hey Lina, first you have to take note of the book format size as well as the number of pages your book has. Then google “paperback cover templates amazon”, it will ask you the size and number of pages your book has. Then you’ll be able go generate a paperback cover which will be the perfect size for your book project. Hope that helps!

No, you cannot use images on Google for your covers and ignore the comment above that says yes. Images on Google are pulled all over and most likely are copyrighted.

Amazon will print your book for you and ship it as people order it. That is why your profit is much less than what you are charging for the book.

Hey Mariah, you will really need to have access to a laptop or desktop computer. Things like uploading a file to KPD will require it.
I’ve ordered my own paperback books but each time the front facing cover is trimmed super poorly… is this a common issue with KDP?? I don’t want low quality covers
Check their trimming guide, you might have an issue with the cover measurement or the pages' bleed measurement

How do i get multiple copies of 1 document. On amazon it says i need 24 pages but only made 1. I made it from windows. Im not good at cooy and paste. Is there an icon for me to put number of pages needed? I been trying to figure this out forever now🤷🏿♀️🤦🏾♀️🤔
If you can master copy and paste, you can do this easily! Just hold the left mouse button down and scan over everything on that one page, you want to highlight everything on that one page so you can copy it. Once it's highlighted, hit the control button (CTRL) on your keyboard plus the C key at the same time. Ok, it's all copied. Now you paste: put the mouse (cursor) at the end of what you have on page 1. Hit ENTER until you get to a new page 2. At the top of page 2, hit the control button (CTRL) and the V key at the same time. Keep repeating this for each new page. PS once you've copied, you don't need to copy again -- just keep getting a new page, then hit CTRL and V, keep repeating.

I never claimed this to be "easy", like everything else in life you have to put in hard work to make this work for you. However, what I can 100% say for sure is that this business is SIMPLE. Amazon takes care of 80% of the work for you. All you need to focus on is picking winning book topics that sells and getting them created. Once that's completed, everything else becomes infinitely easier! Don't lose faith, just keep at it and I'm here to help! :)

Yes it is just! I just made like 5 books but the only things is for the book cover you have to put the graphic on one side and download n save separate from the manuscript which is the inside. Save both separate n upload separate under add pdf file for cover n that’s it. I just got 2 approved n in store this a.m. you don’t need to do those lines they have templates or other websites that have templates for pages like book bolt. YW

Yes. So, you upload the pdf and Amazon only prints and delivers the journal to your costumer when they purchase it. So, you don’t have to worry about inventory or anything. And since Amazon is printing and full filling the orders, they get a % of the profit

You will really need a laptop or desktop computer to get started. You cannot do things like uploading a file to KDP with a cellphone.

No, Amazon has something called 'print-on-demand' technology. Which means they print the books as soon as an order is made on Amazon. Meaning you never have to buy or carry any inventory ;)
