I think the obvious question to ask would be, “what is the ideal trading mindset”. I am sure you have an idea of what the ideal trading mindset would be.
Perhaps you are thinking that the ideal trading mindset is one that is not scared. It is a mindset that knows everything there is to know about the markets, about technical analysis, about algorithms, about artificial intelligence, and the list goes on.
I can only speak for myself what the ideal trading mindset is. I have some experience that makes me well suited to discuss what the ideal mindset is, or perhaps better said, I have an idea of what is NOT the ideal mindset.
In the talk I gave in late 2022 in Amsterdam I dive into the world of emotions, hormones and how they affect our decision making.
The filming and the audio are not the greatest quality, but I hope it is passable.

This is what works for me...
1) I wait, i wait till the trade comes at me. I don't jump into the market.
2) Before i execute my trade , i write it down on paper, how much i am willing to lose and never hesitate to book my loss.
I follow these two simple rule , and they changed my trading life miraculously.

How do you know when the trade ‘comes to you’? is that when all your rules are satisfied or is it more subjective feeling?
It happens eventually. You understand the best trades according to your experience and set up. The thing is such trades only occur after long periods of no trades. It's a true art to say what you want to say in lesser words. And already through 15 minutes it feels like you've understood my emotions and feelings for the past 6 months. The dopamine is fiction, but somehow it's an inevitable hormone that we all humans posess. It's your biggest enemy but also your greatest success. This is why you are the top 1%. Can't wait to hear the rest of the video.

after only watching you and ImanTrading i feel like i see what mistakes i am making and how impatient i am in regards to potentially holding onto cashing out trades, the real meaning of scalping and so on. It is really nice to see some of the techniques and how my impatience destroys them XD. However, most of what i am doing is in this "demo" account. would like to start with trading real money sooner or later to see what role it will play, from psychological perspective

The moment and the earlier one understands and accepts that trading is all probability and random...the faster success follows...that is one cracks the code of trading...how I wish I had given psychology part of trading much weight more than technical part when i started an year ago

Tom used his own version of Ranko some 6-8 years ago. I think we only have videos in Danish. However, he doesn't use it anymore.
I have followed you for a long time, I have a dilemma, I am a 53 year old novice, it is advisable to trade in dailly with risk of a bigger stop, or 10 minutes with risk for smaller trade but with the obligation to stand in front of the charts ? I can not understand how to do...thanks for a possible answer
