Against the Storm is one of the most unique, addicting, and fun colony builders out there currently and highly recommend you play it if you haven't. It is not in this video. It's in early access, but is already a mostly complete game with hundreds of hours of content and more being added to it. It mixes deck building and roguelite elements as well, so playthroughs are always different and there are always more than one way to complete challenges. Not to mention there is a meta progression. HIGHLY recommend. One of my favorites.
Still playing Skylines after all these years, and Cliff Empire - an older game, plus the Laysara demo which is looking good. Thanks for the interesting reviews.I see some have demos so will be trying those.
dotAGE! it's a great rogue lite colony sim. so good, and very addictive lol i've enjoyed the many games i've lost, sometimes even more so than the ones i won hahahaha
@8:00 If you haven't covered it already, another game which is not yet out, but is the best, deepest, most complex city builder there has ever been --> Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic
Oddly enjoying Forever Skies, but for city building? I've been playing Space Haven and Aloft's demo, but those aren't really thriving populace management games, that would be Plan B: Terraform on Steam, still in early access and in development with a recent update.
Surviving the Abyss was abandoned by the creators, and Mountain Core is a huge clone ripped off...dude , it's better play RimWorld ...or if u into dwarf, go for Dwarf Fortress 😅
you forgot Techtonica ... just got %100 steam achievements with little less of 90hrs gameplay .... game needs some ironing but is to be expected from freshly released early access... LOL i even picked it up from one of your videos.... i think
Still playing Anno 1800. Game just has a hold on me.

Kingdom's Reborn with all of the new updates and new co-op mode is fantastic
The best youtube videos have always been Workers and Resources series videos by that awesome producer, Comrade Potato.
"Rimworld for dwarves in a cave". Uhu. Pretty sure there is another game to compare it to them?
So fun when the only games you want aren't available on the platforms you have.

Most of these are more "Civ" like games than actual city builders...
If that's the best... ~sigh~

New Cycle demo was terrible. Completely linear game.
