L_Ender's Cataclysm is a really great mod, like it adds aspects akin to Terraria level bosses in minecraft

I love how most sound effects are vanilla but the ones that aren’t are amazing like the beam from harbinger or the one from the leviathan

Ok, to settle this leviathans beam is Godzillas atomic breath from 2014, im a huge Godzilla fan so I recognized that sound effect anywhere.
During the ignis fight, some of the fire orbs thrown at you will be pink. You can hit those back to break his shield, which makes the fight a lot easier. Also, keep in mind that getting hit by Ignis' sword will decrease your max armor for a few seconds, and try dodging the sword piercing attack as much as you can.
The Harbinger's arena has structures with levers on them. If you use those mid-fight, you can activate the corresponding EMP structure and stun the boss for a few seconds.
When fighting the Netherite Monstrosity, try to hit and run, as he will usually try to smash the ground if you get close. If you do that, he will almost never use any other attacks, making this fight a lot simpler.
The Leviathan can not take damage if its not in water.

Other than that, every time Ignis hit target with his sword, he heal himself. Also, he gain more HP from each hit in phase 2 and 3
EMP in Harbinger' arena need to be hit by its deathray to recharge.
Netherite monstrosity need to absorb lava on the ground so he can spit it out again. And restore some of his HP during the process

Honestly this mod gives me major Terraria Calamity mod vibes and I love it.
The Fact that The Harbringer is just mecha Wither, with Terraria’a laser sounds in there
It heavily suggests that the author drew some inspiration from Terraria community

are we all gunna ignore the fact that the leviaitan looks suspiciously like something that would live next to a crashed ship, give people nighmares, grab onto submarines, and live on another planet.
And also make your submarine say whether what you're doing is worth it when there are multiple of them.

This makes me wish Mojang would create something similar to these bosses but based on the Warden, like making the "portal" actually lead to some dimension. Then there's occasionally Wardens around and then some kind of even bigger and stronger Warden that has nices animations and a pool of different attacks.
unfortunately i dont think mojang can add a new dimension... because then minecraft wouldnt be a 3 dimensional game anymore XD

Bossfight mods are great because they need tons of thought and effort put into them, which makes them absolutely amazing

The Harbinger is just the Plaugebringer Goliath from Calamity which is kind of awsome.

Alot of the bosses have really cool mechanics as well.
For example, Ignis will shoot out a purple projectile every once in a while. That projectile can be reflected like a ghast fireball. If you reflect enough projectiles ignis will lose his shield and the fight will become a bit easier.
Another example is that in the harbinger arena there are emps located in the columns. If you can trick the harbinger into shooting one of the emps with his Lazer attack it will charge the emp allowing you to activate it with Redstone which stuns the boss.
These are actually even more impressive when you consider how difficult it is to make bosses in first person games, and just first person melee combat in general
The leviathan is surely the gold standard for boss fights.
Personally I think it’s the ignis fight.
You convey very well why this mod is insanely good, what really got me is that sequence at 2:31, that laser beam and the sound it's making, how god the Gundam fan inside of me is loving it so much

Something I like about this mod is that, besides the leviathan, each boss seems like it could mesh well it Epic Fight, so that would be extremely fun!

I love how the bosses have thier own dungeon , when my and my friend defeated them , we made big skulls similar to thiers and put them on the wall of the dungeon and claimed the dungeons lol

Wow the bosses are verry well designed, the boss fights are fun and the fact that these bosses are not easy like most modded bosses are Is just nice because IT gives the player Some good challenge even with prot 4 netherite armor. I recommend this mod to everyone who needs more bosses in Minecraft
Protip: install some kind of dodge mod. It makes the fights feel like a proper Dance Of Death, with you bobbing and weaving through attacks to strike when you can.

Combat roll and better combat are really fun imo, and they dont totally replace all of vanilla movement/enemies

You never mentioned the crackers witherstorm mod in any video, you really should. It's a great boss that fits the game entirely and is based by a real minecraft spin off game. For me, it's the best boss out there.
As someone who watched videos of story mode I can confirm that it is accurate. The fireworks distracting it and everything! Yet another reason to put lukas in s tier. 😉

Hi AsianHalfSquat, I love this video! I know you've mainly showcased Forge/Fabric mods in the past, but I think it would be cool if you started covering Spigot plugins. There's a lot of hidden gems to be found. The benefit of using plugins is that you can enjoy a modded experience without needing a beefy computer and can manage multiplayer with a greater degree of control, customization, and optimization.
I suggest checking out following plugins that are mod-like:
Realistic Survival: Faithful port of the RLCraft modpack. Several modules like temperature and Spartan-themed weapons have already been completed. I think it spices up the normal survival gameplay well. (Note that I am biased as the plugin developer).
Slimefun 4: A port of kitchen sink modpacks. Adds jetpacks, machines, and magic
Nova: Adds custom weapons, port of WAILA, and other items.
DeepStoragePlus: Adds a sorting system to Minecraft. Port of Applied Energistics 2.
Craftory Tech: Adds windmills and watermills. Reminds me of Immersive Engineering.
ItemsAdder: Not technically a port of anything, but adds a framework for adding items, mobs, and blocks.
Oraxen: Similar to ItemsAdder, but it's supposedly easier to use?
this mod is great in pretty much every aspect but sound design and the skins have got to be my favourite, those are amazing!
I’ve never heard of Cataclysm! My favorite boss fight mod so far is Chocolate Quest Repoured, but I’m looking forward to trying out Cataclysm!

Certainly my favourite mod for bosses, nothing comes close lest maybe some old memories and mods that have like 1 or 2 on a similar level to this
3 games that I have played that do bosses REALLY well are Terraria, Don't Starve Together and Hollow Knight
gathered these are all 2D games I think they set a sort a standard for what an incredible boss is and this checks all the boxes
I would like to suggest a very small mod that I found almost half a year ago and found out that the creator updated it, sadly it's not on the newest version. It is called Extra Swords by Herobrine, so you should check it out.

There's a mod called Dragon Survival. It's a really well-made mod that lets you pick between three dragon species and survive as them. I recommend checking it out.
what actually amaze me is that a music plays when you are in a boss fight... with shoulder surfing better combat and combat roll + some weapon and shield mods its better than dark souls
Nice video! I'd like to see a video of mods that make minecraft feel more alive/ make it feel like a world that runs without you. Examples like the regrowth mod which makes animals eat to heal and turn the grass into dirt and the land regrows like dirt turns back in grass and villagers improve their villages. Another would be the (I can't remember the exact name and will find it and edit this post with the right name later) revamped breeding mod, it makes animals breed on their own and some other extra things

Cataclysm is actually a really fire mod
This is what Modded Minecraft Bossfights need to be, although i think making attacks that are almost impossible to dodge leaves a lot to be desired. I hope the dash that you use in the video is added by the Cataclysm mod, if not the bosses are not very well balanced, since tanking doesn't require any skill imo just farm netherite and race against who takes who first. Visuals and audio looking insane ngl and the camera shake effect is perfect
The almost undogeable is a part of the difficulty
all the bosses of thne mod have dodgeable attacks. you can kill ignis with diamond armor (ignis is the most dificult boss of the mod) you an kill it with skill.
All the bosses need more skill than equipmenthis is why I love this mod, is well balanced

Hey, I love your videos and watch them quite often (on my pcs account if that matters) and I download loads of the fabric 1.20.1 mods you mention. I use the mod pack you made and I was wondering if you could give me any tips for adding loads of mods to minecraft at the same time because when I just drag a bunch of them into the mods folder stuff always messes up and it takes ages going through the mods 1 by one adding one is, loading minecraft, closing minecraft and adding the next rinse and repeat. Then the ones that I can't get to work no matter what I do I don't add them to the folder and keep adding the other ones 1 by 1. Any tips for making this easier? (I get the mods off the curseforge links you leave in the description)

Awesome mod, I wish there was more mods like that for Fabric. All I can think of is Mine Cells. Still pretty dope, but it only have 2 bosses.
It's funny since a couple days ago I was looking into playing with TTIGRAAS mod (very underrated to) and wanted to add some bosses to counter how OP you become later on in the game, and discovered Cataclysm and was like "daaaamnnn something this good exists since 1.16 and I didn't know about it. HOW. WHY"
This mod is on a league of it's own by how well made it is.

It would also be really nice if you could make video about the top terrain/world generation mods that don't add new blocks or plants. It would be nice to see all the best options available for players like me who want to add as many biomes as possible, with the most beautiful terrain generation, and still be able to use texture packs! :)
So far, I know of Terralith, WWOO, and Tectonic... but I'm not sure what else is out there!

You should showcase the Primal Magic mod. Fell in love with it a few weeks ago and even in my creative world it took me hours to finish it
I just use this mod in conjunction with epic fight mod and just fight the bosses in f5 mode everytime
Its really fun especially especially when i tried to 1v3 Nether monstrosity Ender guardian and ignis while having no armor and only having satsujin and golden apples
It just feels like a genuine Action game at the point and i LOVE IT
Though i suggest if you are going to have this 2 mods together i suggest having armor cause they will give you the definition of "You get what you ask for and more"

This one was too insane for my modpack but it’s still incredible
Hi, I don't expect you or anyone to respond to this, but I must ask what settings did you apply your shaders to when making the Highlights reel, specifically at 2:04 and 2:20. They look downright gorgeous, however I can't find how to tweak either the Shrimple or Rethinking Voxels shaders in either of their settings for them to even come even close to what you had presented. The settings I have don't have the lava and glowstone produce that powerful warm glow, and same applies to light sources that produce cooler tones of light such as soul fire and soul lanterns. Instead, they just emit more or less that general cool white tone you'd expect from the base game, but of course it looks nicer. And none of that gradient glow sort of thing you see in the timestamps neither. Just basic lighting. Maybe there's a little bit of colour and heat to the lighting, but it's veeeery subtle, not even close to the intensity you shown off. And same applies to the light coming from the Harbinger fight, I can't make my game look like that neither. From the looks of it it looks like Shrimple, but again I cannot find a way to make it look like that, or even like what the preview photos show on Modrinth, which is a shame because it's exactly the sort of shader I'm looking for.
