You know i was planning on making a giant robot boss mob in minecraft. I THOUGHT 100 blocks tall would be like... "too big" in some sense, but honestly this video actually helped me figure out how to make a giant mob look convincing. 1) SLOW - Make the mobs walking animation slow and small. If they aren't going to have a walking speed of like 30 blocks per second its gonna look odd. That being said it should probably move faster than the player *per step* but also be slower overall. Burst vs Sustained movement and all that. 2) ROTATION - put some kinda rotation speed cap on it or like... make a rotation animation so its not just the usual turning like how a villager does. A villager can realistically swivel around on the spot, but something as big as godzilla probably can't. 3) INTERACT DIFFERENTLY - have a different way of killing it than just mashing the attack button and stubbing its toe to death somehow. 4) COMBAT RANGE - this is more just something i thought up, but maybe make the boss attack you from like... a few hundred blocks away with a bunch of really slow long ranged attacks. The kind you can avoid easy if you're just being a little attentive 5) RENDERING + DETECTION - basically... the wither storm had the right idea. chuck distance be damned if somethings that big and wants you dead you should know where it is and how fast it's approaching
iirc the way the wither storm does the rendering is in a super clever way of basically just, keeping a smaller "clone" of itself within your render distance to make sure it always looks as if it's there in the distance I might be mistaken though as I only looked at how the mod worked while it was still really new and I'm definitely not the best when it comes to anything java, I mostly just debug mod crashes and that has made me have to learn it a bit to make compatibility patches
You really just have to make sure you always always keep in mind the scale of the world its in, as well as the tremendous weight it would realistically have. I recommend looking at videos of actual big things moving, and try to scale them up in your head. It would be great if Apatosaurus was still alive so you could just use that as reference footage, but dinosaur documentaries will probably work just as well. Another way to think about it, is the bigger something is, the more it appears to be affected by air resistance. The bigger you make something, the harder it has to fight to even push through the air, like a person in water. You also want to make sure the player can really feel the weight of these colossal creatures, and some great ways to do that that alot of mod makers completely forget about, is sound design and visual feedback. If you want to make something feel like its moving 1000 tons with each step, you have to make it sound like the ground is being hit by thousand tons with each step (unless you're designing a giant cat or a flying creature), and a method as old as the method itself, proximity based screen shake! Also just add a bunch of loud sounds in general, like the woosh of the air being smashed out of the way when the creature does anything slightly fast. Thats all my advice im willing to give for now, i wish you luck on your creation journey!
I got a few weapon ideas for your giga-robot: Earth-core sword : simply a gigant fiery sword that's deactivated when its on its back and can equip it for close-range or ranged combat Shoulder miniguns: miniguns that can aim left and right and it sprays bullets when it shoots AI Helicopter summon: Those are special helicopters with heat-seeking rockets and they get summoned from your giga-robot's back. Ways to destroy/defeat Core reactor room: Its simply the heart of your giga robot. If you manage to reach it whilst evading the insidal security of guns and cameras. You'll need a special weapon to destroy it though. And its the hypa-C4. you'll need 8 of them to fully destroy the core. In order to craft them you have to kill some of those summoned helicopters to get their rockets and combine them with diamond and netherrite. I have more ideas but im not feeling like writing them all So goodluck if you want to create that big robot!
Fun fact : The Sandworm from Modular Bosses in Bedrock is 10 times more big than in Java for some reason it's big as whole 2 biome of dessert and Savannah 😅
@@whelsup4790 It's not as big as Ancient Guardian or any other boss but maybe as big as Witherzilla and because of sheer size of it you will repeatly get eaten because it's too big
1:14 I’ve actually had several nightmares of playing Minecraft and encountering the wither storm. Like imagine building casually then you realize that the wither storm is actively hunting you down and it’s closer than you think. Even in creative mode its size and destructive capabilities make it terrifying
The worst part about the wither storm is how it destroys everything. Everything you've built, beautiful sights you've discovered, serene villages. Whatever was in the way is irreparably mangeled. Your world will never be the same after that storm.
Imo the most terrifying part is when you’re mining for some tools and then suddenly the Wither Storm’s loud beastly growl plays, indicating he reached phase 4.I always get goosebumps from that
One experience I had with the mod was I checked the amulet and it was like ten thousand blocks away. I thought it would be fine for quite a while and then five minutes later, I was jumpscared by a cave rumble and its sounds suddenly starting and I realized the amulet was in my backpack from another mod and for some reason it doesn't update the distance in there, so it was a lot closer than 10,000 blocks. I actually jumped when the cave rumbled like that.
I have to give minecraft story mode props for creating a monster that is unironically terrifying, the wither storm as a concept is just dread inducing. The only thing I can really compare it to is the rumbling from AOT, where you can outrun it, but even if you can avoid it it's still just somewhere out there slowly destroying the entire world
honorable mention: the slumbering omen mod by rupter adds a gigantic ghost type creature into the game, it's about the size of the zombie titan but the thing about it is that it's translucent, so you almost confuse it with the moon sometimes
To put the guardians HP pool into perspective, if you had orespawns royal guardian sword and strength 255 you would still die from old age before you would kill it.
Who knew the greatest enemy could actually be the Ancient Guardian. But wait till someone creates a mob as big as the world itself, 60M, to attack him there would need to go to the world's end itself, and it would look like Crafting Table.

Vanilla minecraft can still have some pretty big mobs. Theres the /attribute command to change a mob's scale up to 16x, and also Slimes, Magma Cubes, and Phantoms own seperate size tag. Imagine how big those can be if you combine the two modifiers.
1:48 this mod doesn't even bring minecraft's biggest wither storm, for that you need to use the Engender mod. You can't even see the entire thing when at max render distance. Also this wither storm is unkillable by conventional methods as making the growth 10 million makes it's HP 10 million. I expected to see the Ursa Major or Spikezilla from another mod I forgot the name; back when OreSpawn dominated the scene, because both dwarfed Mobzilla.
people say the box is bigger so I searched it up and the strongest mod fandom (or wiki, idk) says that the final box of the model is 2e+111 blocks in size and that is 2 with 111 zeroes and basically 2 googols. What happened to Minecraft mods
I am glad that I don't have Megalaphobia, so I can enjoy the stunning beauty of absurdly large things. From enourmous fictional nuildings that can stretch for 10 Miles to Universe sized beings made entirely out of metal that you cannot see the end to. Massive things are just fascinating and interesting.

“Oh, that’s just a juvenile.”
I remember these in popularMMOS videos
I don't think the strongest mod is beatable in a survival playthrough
Ah yes, the good old OreSpawn mod
"The fear of large objects."
My mind went somewhere >:)
0:01 "Exists"
Me: *Oh.... Bro's a large object. Nah i'll become lego **_Proceeds to become a lego piece_*
I expected to see the Ursa Major or Spikezilla from another mod I forgot the name; back when OreSpawn dominated the scene, because both dwarfed Mobzilla.
Wait until he plays ultrakill and sees the ultimate giant machine
You're style of youtube reminds me of techno. Keep up the good work
killing worm is just killing his brain and heart bosses
use the /scale command on the giant and the fgame may have trouble rendering, but its prob bigger than most mobs in game, i tested it
but there is something EVEN BIGGER
the ego of the omnipotent tier bosses and witherzilla 😂
your mom*
The sand worm brings back childhood memories lol
The video wallpaper was so big and the shaders, graphics are so good 🔥
You should try finding other chaotic mods for your videos. I have noticed you use a few of the same ones throughout many videos
its time for a new round, ik
The box in the strongest mod has probably infinite boxes, and the trascendent god's model is apparently too big and cant be seen according to the dev
0:25 QUADRILLION?! This thing is beyond everything ive ever seen
people say the box is bigger so I searched it up and the strongest mod fandom (or wiki, idk) says that the final box of the model is 2e+111 blocks in size and that is 2 with 111 zeroes and basically 2 googols. What happened to Minecraft mods
3:50 NO WAY I REMEMBER ALL OF THEM-
Original mutants brought back so much memories
I am glad that I don't have Megalaphobia, so I can enjoy the stunning beauty of absurdly large things. From enourmous fictional nuildings that can stretch for 10 Miles to Universe sized beings made entirely out of metal that you cannot see the end to. Massive things are just fascinating and interesting.
the desert scourge at the beginning😭
CALAMITY MENTIONED 💯💯🔥🔥🔥💯🔥‼️‼️‼️
