    Been carrying the CM9 for 12 years now. Mostly in the summer. I see no need to chase the latest and greatest, it never ends.

      Need your philosophy. Stopped chasing it.

    Have this same model. Own many brands and it's the only one I ever returned. F2F on the very last round going from mag to chamber. To Kahr's credit they fixed the problem. I used to worry about capacity. Hog wash. Just having something on you trumps anything else. Recently installed trijicon tritium front sight. Can order from Karh's site. This will continue to be part of my carry rotation. Can't beat the size.

      I had a couple failure to feed issues in the first 100 rounds. After that, mine has run fine. It will certainly jam if you ride the slide home at all. It isn't forgiving at all, for that bad behavior. I also picked up the night sights. I was never really happy with the laser, so the night sights were still a solid upgrade. Mine are pretty dim now after so many years.

      @@SpikyArms Have a kydex pocket holster for it. I do pocket carry it when I walk. Have the LCP Max when dress requires a non tuckable shirt.

    MagGuts +1, spring and follower, no extra length on magazine. Kahr has a Big Dot front night sight, really stands out day or night. Love the Kahr trigger for defense.

    Cm9. My favorite EDC. 6 rounds or 7 is enough, I could only do 10 in NY anyway and my CCW sits in the holster IWB thank God not being shot at least for the 10 years I’ve carried. My batch of CCW guns I own all must be comfortable to conceal and fire reliably, so the size and weight of the CM9 make it my number one 9mm.

    7 round mags have plastic plates, 6 round mags have sheet metal mag plates.
    Liked your review, btw

    I just found your channel and I subscribed. I just got the CW9 last Friday. Definitely worth the money on kahr especially being American made. God Bless from Oklahoma.

      I got suckered into chasing higher capacity in a micro-9, so I haven't been carrying mine lately. When I need maximum concealment, you can bet I'll be going back to this one. It has served me well.

    Although I have both a Hellcat and P365, I still EDC my CM9 more often then not. Smaller and lighter, plus I'm not a capacity snob.

      Would you say your purchase of the Hellcat and P365 were mistakes, or they still fit some purpose for you?

      @@SpikyArms Absolutely not, both are 100% reliable carry guns. That being said, I often turn to the lighter and slimmer CM9 for IWB use.

    I just picked up a cm9 should I use Cholula for lube so the gun is reliable

      Turns it into a pepper spray gun. Not sure if it is considered 'less than lethal' at that point though. I'm not a lawyer.

    I tote around a glock 30 and glock 26 depending on where and when. But i need something smaller for work. Califronia does not have a lot of legal guns here but this is one of em. So i am eyeing it for a pocket carry. I was thinking just standard pressure 124 grain gold dots and calling it a day. Might use a 7 round mag if it fits in my pocket. If not than just the flush. I know when i am exercising the 6 rounder os probably all i can carry. Get the magguts kit. Now its a 7+1 or 8+1 9mm in the pocket. If i can find a 10 round mag that can be my spare. If its reliable its enough.

    Great video. As an IT guy, why and where do you daily-carry?

    • @SpikyArms
      @SpikyArms  10 месяцев назад

      That's a great question, but probably not one I can answer completely here. I carry to protect myself and my family, and I carry everywhere I think I can get away with it. Probably a tactical mistake to say where I DON'T carry.

      Thanks for your reply. I don't have a Kahr CM9, but rather a PM9. However, I don't generally carry it because it's too painful to shoot. The trigger recoil is vicious and hurts my finger.@@SpikyArms

    Do these guns not have a safety???

    • @SpikyArms
      @SpikyArms  9 месяцев назад

      It has a long double-action like trigger pull. It also has a firing pin block safety so it is drop-safe. I'm guessing you're asking about a manual safety though. No, it doesn't have on of those. I wouldn't want one for a carry gun, would you? Is it required where you are, or are you more comfortable with a manual safety?
