You are a GOD my man!!! worked like a charm, took a few tries but that was just me . Previously i tried EVERY video i found and read lots, hours wasted , really sad how locked up this is , should be very straight forward and i bought all good PC gear , just to have no surround sound no matter what i did.

@@mustaqeemrajpoot5632that's called upmixing there should be an option in your receiver called dolby pro logic or dts neo both are used to turn none 5.1 audio into fake 5.1

Great tutorial ! Really appreciate it! This method applys to nVidia/AMD HDMI HD audio in windows. However, The DTS interactive seems not to work on Intel Arc. Only old Dolby digital format works.

What is that Microsoft have against Optical cables? First, they remove it from the Xbox, then they won't support 5.1 on Windows 11?
For some reason it didn’t let me to go back to 2 channels when I wanted Dolby pro, anyway great tutorial
Unfortunately it is what it is can be finicky at best no matter what don't go to windows 11 or your not have it working for long XD

@@SirQuacksalotthe1stfor some reason the windows 11 ui sound effects are playing in the rears speakers and some games play the front speakers in the rear speakers. Do you know why this is?
@@evnz most likely because they don't natively support 5.1 sounds like it's trying to upmix

is it possible to have dts and dolby digital at the same time? my receiver has options for both but im not sure
I was getting a lot of static noise so I had to go in and under the advanced tab uncheck the box that allows applications to take exclusive control of this device that seem to work for me. If anybody else is having this problem I would do that

I tried this on Windows 11. It doesn't work for me. I installed DTS Connect and DTS Digital. (I needed Microsoft c++ 2008 redistributable package ) I applied DTS Connect in Fx Configurator (I needed AutohotKey v1.1 to launch it ) but there's no "DTS Interactive" in advanced tab. I don't know what I missed.
What device are you trying to apply it to ? Because this will only work on optical

No it's built in to most desktop motherboards if you don't have one check my dobly video that can be done over hdmi
Can this work with Realtek on board sound card HP laptop sending signal to spdif over usb c? I tried both audio over usb and hdmi arc but I only get 2 channel output. I tried even an optical extractor from the hdmi to spdif but still no luck, I'm going crazy please help me I'll make sure to buy you a beer after through PayPal

Tried this with a pioneer vsx524, no dice. The program failed to update any drivers. fresh 11 install
Did you make sure to patch only a optical device? And windows 11 is a pain when it comes to this tool

@@idied2 by default the sound blaster driver and suite comes with dts installed and yes dts and Dolby both should work properly due to the card being made to use them Surround Sound and Encoding

Fx configurator dont open on Windows 11 pro. Any advice?
Unfortunately that's windows 11 itself being a dick the only way to fix it is to do a system restore to a point before you installed the mod this is purely a fault with windows 11 and not the tool

@@rajarshibose9 as said before unfortunately this is purely a windows 11 just being crap unfortunately they only way to fix it is to do a system restore point to before the program was installed. I know it sucks this is due to the way windows 11 handles registry edits I believe this doesn't happen on win 10 or 8 or 7 so it seems like windows 11 just hates us
