He is so annoying. His voice, the way he talks, and how talks about CP3. Like its his fault that Blake keeps getting injured andJordan cant make his free throws.
And he needs to pump the brakes on criticizing Dominique Wilkins. How old was he when 'Nique played ..6? Those old school NBA players were a lot tougher than the current players. Show some respect.
"Paul George to LA where is this coming from?" Dude do you even watch the news? How are you this clueless? People have been talking about this for a while now
Nathan Smith completely understand that point of view, if a man can win and make money, good. but if someone shows a desire to win and is upset that he can't cuz the organization isnt doing anything, then money shouldnt be top priority. but youre not wrong
But there is a salary cap to consider. lol let's say the organization said to you, "we would get better talent, but we can't get X star player because we're short about 10 mil in space. If you sign a 30 mil contract instead of a 40 mil, we'll be able to get you better talent." Would you still sign for 40 mil? Point is, if you take what you're worth, more power to you. But that could also work against you if you taking 40 mil instead of 30 mil winds up restricting your team financially.
Sage Aoki if i really cared about my name being remembered for doing something great, then yea. but if i just care about getting the money and supporting my family the best i can, then i take the money. but in nba, u are remembered by rings, not how much money u made.
I understand that. But are you gonna put your own individual legacy above (not even guaranteed) supporting those around you. There are many ways to be great in this world, and being a HOF only matter as much to the individual players as they allow it. 70 million dollars creates so many more opportunities to set your family up for generations and to do good in this world; then an increased chance of being able to win a ring. All depends on the priorities of the player, neither is good nor bad
cp3 has lacked much post season success, but since he's been in the league, he's put up historically great seasons, been one of the best floor generals in the last few decades. If TMac can make it to the HoF, then CP3 will absolutely be 1st ballot.
Huh... the 9th seed in the East would be a playoff team in the West. There's more .500+ teams in the East than in the West. Last year the 5TH seed in the West would barely make the EAST playoffs. Tell me more how the East is easy or are you the casual sheep feeding into the media narrative?
You guys gotta catch Colin starting to slyly say "the warriors are gonna win this year" yet he won't really admit it when he's talking to nick wright or when he has a Lebron segment lol
242okil lmao rockets?! maybe if they actually tried to play defense! I remember they played back to back and swear I saw gsw walk all over them
7 лет назад
HOU beat GSW this year with all of their team. And when GSW "walked all over them" the starting 5 was not full. Remember Harden is the only Star in the team and doesn't have 5 of them like Curry does so he needs all the help he can gets vs them.
doesn't matter, KD not spending his whole career there, he'd get so much hate and he couldn't handle it, and either Green or Thompson will look to be the star of a team eventually they'll get tired of being just part of the support cast of Curry
Steven Delgado Durant already is making almost 30m. He's not gonna take a 10m a year paycut. Curry is going for the max as well. They already have Klay and Draymond on the max. So that leaves zero room to resign Iggy and Shaun, those guys are too good to take the vet min
Not everyone gets to have their cake and eat it too. C Paul will have to decide what's more important to him, making money or winning a ring(s)? All he has to do is look at Melo and how things are going for him in NYC.
Nathan Smith - I was talking more about the money issue. Melo put himself in a no win situation with his huge contract. Add to that the fact that he's a ball hog who doesn't play defense. Also his no trade clause. He sealed his own fate by being who he is.
Memphis didn't expose anything. Memphis is a really tough team to beat. if they had a better bench they'd be competing for a title. Memphis has ALWAYS been a bad matchup for the Spurs. it's cause Randolph and Gasol are just great on the offensive/defensive sides of the ball. and they play physical. that takes a toll really. that's why the spurs struggle with the Clippers too.
Brandon Martin if he went to the spurs they would have 2 of the best players in the league. best bench in the league. they could literally have a starting 5 of all all stars. but not enough weapons? lol stop that. they have enough now
Brandon Martin wait wait wait. So spurs wouldn't have enough weapons by just adding one more? Didnt you just say they would be unstoppable by adding paul George? So either you think chris paul is trash, George is the greatest, or you just looking to argue lol
Every time the CP3 subject comes up, I just keep thinking about the time when Rajon Rondo got in CP3's face in Boston and yelled, "You'll never win a ring"! Lmao
I'm confused as to why ppl keep suggesting PG to the clippers only thing I've heard is that he wants to be a LAKER I haven't read or heard anything that said he just wants to be in LA he specifically wants to be on the Lakers
Go compare Rod Strickland's stats in a more physical NBA at the same ages of Chris Paul. Strickland isnt in the hall of fame. Chris Paul hasnt won anything. Modern ESPN/Fox Sports "Every one who is playing now is a hall of famer" gets old.
They both are and as both the best players on their teams they haven't shown the ability to bring their teams a title. You can't win big games playing like that you need to share the basketball.
cp3 I know that but the data doesn't lie. A ball dominant Point Guard that is the single best player on his team hasn't been able to win championships. I'm not bashing them and I do agree their teammates are unreliable. I just think Westbrook worked best when he had another cast of star near his level. (Him KD & Harden did make it to the finals) Neither of them can win big if the gap in talent is as wide as it is between them and the 2nd best players on their teams.
Also, one of the best things about SAS is that the depth, the ball movement. Tony Parker was a great PG, but he was never a 10 assist guy, not nearly as ball dominant as CP3. So it makes you question, if they lose depth because they're maxing out cp3, LA and soon Kawhi, is it worth it? Will a ball dominant guard, next to an increasing ball dominant SF work out in the grand scheme of things? Sure Popovich can always adjust, but just some questions to think of
scalabrine playoff 3pt 46% curry playoff 3pt 40% yeah Oscar is Top 5, but I don't personally think Nash is better than the 5 I mentioned, he was great though and one of the best ever.. I'll add Oscar and move Chris Paul to #6.. I'd put Nash or Gary Payton at 7-8.. it's all debatable though for the most part..
scalabrine playoff 3pt 46% curry playoff 3pt 40% that's all good.. like I said he was great and one of the best ever.. I'm not going to argue with anyone who thinks Nash is Top 5 because there's a fair argument to be made..
Chris Paul is a top 5 PG in NBA history. Period. By far the best assist-to-turnover ratio in history, great defense, leadership, toughness, steals, he's a great free throw shooter, he's a pretty good overall shooter and is clutch.
Been saying the same thing. Now I understand 70 million is alot but if he takes the money then the whole "Chris Paul is winner and a competitor and a pitbull" narrative comes to a stop. We will no longer have to accept it as fact.
Remarkable SeiF LeBron and Wade have pretty much never been paid thier full value. Those guys took pay cuts so they didn't have to deal with the likes of Blake Griffin's incompetence.
Nathan Smith Like I said he can take the money and I won't judge. What I also don't have to do is regard him as a top 5 PG. CP3 is a winner? Fine. The one franchise that's definitely not doing any winning is the Clippers. Give me a basketball reason for CP to stay with the Clippers. I garuantee it doesn't exist. BTW CP3 has already secured generational wealth throughout his career. You can make the case that money doesn't buy success.
Erik Lerström Are you really that ignorant? Do you think he has a cheap lifestyle? He also gotta think about his future, do you know how many athletes that goes broke years after they retire? No one would take that big of a pay cut.. The most anyone in the NBA has taken is Dwade and that was 18 million. smfh
Remarkable SeiF You think CP3 can't already afford his lifestyle? That's not even worth debating. There are only so many teams that could give CP a ring and the Clippers ain't one. Choosing the Clippers is the least flexible of all his options.
+Sabelo Masemola Right now he can, but did you fail to read my entire comment? Elaborate on how the Clippers are the ''least flexible option'' as well.. LA is probably the best place for his brand and they have all the pieces for a championship, they just have to stay healthy.
Perceptions reality, I text a friend's of mines and said Chris Paul should go to the spurs. The spurs has a great system, No matter the age of the player they still produce at a high level. Tim ducan is a great example.
Still think CP3 going to get in Hall of Fame but I think it's time to stop putting him in Best PG discussions now if he can't get past the 2nd Round. I know they had injuries but after so long that has to stop being an excuse.
bomberbcm look at his performances he's been amazing only played bad one or two games I believe, you have to blame doc rivers to be honest and injuries
242okil I get that but when you look at the truly great players they put him in the same class as they have had to face similar struggles but we're able to turn it up another gear and will his team to victory. CP3 hasn't been able to do that. I know it's not completely fair but if you want him to be in the convo with the greats we have to look at what he's done.
bomberbcm He definetly hasnt been in the conversation this year and last year, idk where your getting that from....everybody knows his skill set is outdated for todays league. 1.Steph 2.Harden 3.Irving 4.Westbrook 5.Lillard 6. John Wall 7.Thomas 8.Chris Paul 9.Conley 10. Lowry. Thats just my opinion, theres no solid undisputed best point guard in the league, every single one of these guys has one big or multiple smaller weaknesses in there game. I ranked them soley on there ability to impact a game at a championship level + there performance this season. (Ex.Kyrie has shown to be the best guard to have on a championship team but his defense is wack and he cant be the play maker as well as other guys, thats why he's no.3)
heatbs15 True but old reporters who love how the game used to be played love shitting on the new style PG (Westbrook/Kyrie/John Wall) while loving everything CP3 does. Similar to Westbrook, IT, and Wall he is a great talent but we've yet to see whether or not he can lead a team to a ring while being the best player. But I put those guys slightly higher bc of age and the fact other than Westbrook they never had a Blake, DeAndre, and JJ Reddick on their squad
242okil you can't pinpoint individual numbers. This team has been together for years and hasn't shown any growth even when healthy. This team eliminated the Warriors the year before they won the ring, since then the Warriors became the best team in the league while the Clippers have declined to being about the 4th best team just in the conference, and could even drop a few spots next season.Even when you watch Paul play, he's a ball stopper just dribbling the ball for a majority of the clock, no real ball movement so I'm sure teammates feel a way about his style of play as well. Besides that Doc and Deandre are overrated.
NobodyImportant3 Great question. Steph & KD are some of the best scorers this league has ever seen. Really explosive. But they can be turnover prone and KD has only recently improved his defense while Steph is still a sieve on that end -- except intercepting passing lanes. Meanwhile Kawhi & CP3 are wickedly efficient. Neither need a ton of shots to get their points. Two of the best defenders in the league. Excellent passers who always make the right play. All 4 are excellent FT shooters and 3 point shooters. Paul is a bit older but Kawhi is younger than both KD/Steph so their mean age is the same. Personally I'd rather roll with CP3 & Kawhi.
I like how no one complains the fact that the same guys that condemns the "super teams" in Cleveland and Golden State but the Spurs would be totally different.....how????
I said this months ago,.CP3 needs to go to the Spurs and finish his career..He wants a ring, and they give him the best shot from a systematic and coaching standpoint to get it done
This is for Colin. KD and Steph have a history of injuries. I agree. But look at the job Warriors have done with Curry. He used to be out every year with his ankle. Now he is barely injured (thankfully) and his most recent injury (last year's playoffs) was because of fatigue and not a weak body. KD will get better as well. This team is a dynasty for at least another 5 years
that would be a great move actually... the spurs system would greatly accommodate paul as he starts to hit the downside of his prime the next couple seasons... pop would do wonders with him and Leonard on the team...
"He is not even John Stockton". My laptop flipped closed on its own.
If Chris Paul goes to the Spurs, the Warriors are in trouble. #SpursNation
Tyler C The Spurs still wouldn't be able to beat the Warriors in a best of seven.
spurs can't even beat the rockets
Lawrence Quiambao lol one game bro. We beat them 3 out of 4 in the regular season. Kawhi has no help right now
First beat the rockets then think about the warriors
Artur Vasiljev yes because chris paul is on the team now huh? did you even read hos comment?
That McIntrye guy is annoying.
Exactly
He is so annoying. His voice, the way he talks, and how talks about CP3. Like its his fault that Blake keeps getting injured andJordan cant make his free throws.
And he needs to pump the brakes on criticizing Dominique Wilkins. How old was he when 'Nique played ..6? Those old school NBA players were a lot tougher than the current players. Show some respect.
The Xeno I know right especially all these dweebs that couldn't even play in a pick up game at the park talking so disrespectfully all day long.
I've been saying this all year. cp3 to the spurs makes too much sense
Nathan Cardenas he's just gotta be willing to leave money on the table.
Not when he's gonna get underpaid there. A $70 million difference is a giant difference.
Top 10 Daily do you want to win or not? you cant put a price on a ring if youre a winner.
Pete Alcoser Lmao good one
Mike Conley or Chris Paul to the spurs. That's what they need to truly contend with the warriors for the next few years.
"Paul George to LA where is this coming from?" Dude do you even watch the news? How are you this clueless? People have been talking about this for a while now
Paul George had said he wanted to come to LA.
"Not even John Stockton!"? Seriously? JS is one of the greatest PGs ever.
Jason McIntyre's arguments are always ridiculous.
Who is the disrespectful Indian guy??
Kakaroto K Someone who knows very little about basketball
He is not even a stockton , paul never went to the finals back to back !!!
91exile is like LeChoke is not even like Jordan 6-6 in the Finals. Right???? Lol
91exile because Paul is better than him
Kakaroto K better than that overrated chuck
Bro the title is tremendous. Sounds like a good move to me.
bruh for 70 mio $ you could GUARANTEE me a ring and I still wouldn't go
if a man is worried about getting 30 mil a year instead of 40 a year, then money is thier second problem
Nathan Smith completely understand that point of view, if a man can win and make money, good. but if someone shows a desire to win and is upset that he can't cuz the organization isnt doing anything, then money shouldnt be top priority. but youre not wrong

Point is, if you take what you're worth, more power to you. But that could also work against you if you taking 40 mil instead of 30 mil winds up restricting your team financially.
Would you work at a company that payed you less money than you were worth because they had a better chance of doing something good?

playing lebron is better early than later on
zero no
Thats what Melo thought lol
Huh... the 9th seed in the East would be a playoff team in the West. There's more .500+ teams in the East than in the West. Last year the 5TH seed in the West would barely make the EAST playoffs.

Heat Lifer the top 3 records are in the WEST funny how u didn't mention that
You guys gotta catch Colin starting to slyly say "the warriors are gonna win this year" yet he won't really admit it when he's talking to nick wright or when he has a Lebron segment lol
Sult lmao he does he clearly says I take warriors but the only people who can hang with them is rockets cavs
242okil lmao rockets?! maybe if they actually tried to play defense! I remember they played back to back and swear I saw gsw walk all over them

LAlifestyle1, you don't need to play defense. Just make one or 2 stops is all you need and just flat outscore them.
Sult lmaoooo word. Why he do that ??
ESPN would have fired Jason Mcintyre
lol Colin stop "the warriors window is closing " when the oldest star is 29 😭
Commandosoap777 exactly like wtf
I mean he has a point though, they can't keep their role players now. Igouadala and Livingston are gone
doesn't matter, KD not spending his whole career there, he'd get so much hate and he couldn't handle it, and either Green or Thompson will look to be the star of a team eventually they'll get tired of being just part of the support cast of Curry
Commandosoap777 warriors will will back to back then they will split up.
Steven Delgado Durant already is making almost 30m. He's not gonna take a 10m a year paycut. Curry is going for the max as well. They already have Klay and Draymond on the max. So that leaves zero room to resign Iggy and Shaun, those guys are too good to take the vet min

Jim Jackson is the fuggin MAN
Every time the CP3 subject comes up, I just keep thinking about the time when Rajon Rondo got in CP3's face in Boston and yelled, "You'll never win a ring"! Lmao
Colin is on fire.
Speak on it Jimmy Jackson!
I'm confused as to why ppl keep suggesting PG to the clippers only thing I've heard is that he wants to be a LAKER I haven't read or heard anything that said he just wants to be in LA he specifically wants to be on the Lakers
there is absolutely no one who provides better takes on the NBA than Chris Broussard
CP3 to Pelicans!!!
Go compare Rod Strickland's stats in a more physical NBA at the same ages of Chris Paul. Strickland isnt in the hall of fame. Chris Paul hasnt won anything. Modern ESPN/Fox Sports "Every one who is playing now is a hall of famer" gets old.
Michael Schmidt so true great comment
Michael Schmidt Strickland still underrated.
Imagine Chris Paul & Kawhai together
I see a lot of guys saying cp3 a ball hog now 🤔 you all really going off of what big bum davis said about him? 😂
And on top of that , the annoying analyst doesn't know what he talking about
If he's a ball hog, we need a new word to describe westbrook
They both are and as both the best players on their teams they haven't shown the ability to bring their teams a title. You can't win big games playing like that you need to share the basketball.

cp3 Again I understand the reason they always have the ball. I would be reluctant to pass it to a brittle Blake Griffin or streaky Olidipo too.
West in the house, time to win a ring
Jason came out hot with the shade on CP3
The John Stockton disrespect.
Curry and Durant are both in their prime. Their window is not closing. Lmao
Also, one of the best things about SAS is that the depth, the ball movement. Tony Parker was a great PG, but he was never a 10 assist guy, not nearly as ball dominant as CP3. Colin called paul George to the clippers
If only we could have seen Cowherd, Whitlock, Wiley, C.C together….
They always say every big nba star wants to go to LA, but they don't even go. So they don't know what they are talking about.
Top 5 PGs of all-time IMO:
1. Magic Johnson
2. John Stockton
3. Isiah Thomas
4. Jason Kidd
5. Chris Paul
BB13131313 dumb list. no Oscar, no Steve nash
scalabrine playoff 3pt 46% curry playoff 3pt 40% yeah Oscar is Top 5, but I don't personally think Nash is better than the 5 I mentioned, he was great though and one of the best ever.. nash = 40, 50, 90 twice, mvp back to back, highest free throw percentage
scalabrine playoff 3pt 46% curry playoff 3pt 40% that's all good.. like I said he was great and one of the best ever.. I'm not going to argue with anyone who thinks Nash is Top 5 because there's a fair argument to be made..
finally someone breaks the topic!
I agree with COLIN
I've been saying this they'll be unbeatable playoffs time
good job Chris B.
It's obvious Paul wants that 70 million over the ring as the ring cannot give him 70 million extra money.
Chris Paul is a top 5 PG in NBA history. Period. By far the best assist-to-turnover ratio in history, great defense, leadership, toughness, steals, he's a great free throw shooter, he's a pretty good overall shooter and is clutch.
Agreed! That would be a good move BUT CP3 would have to HUMBLE himself if he wants the respect of his teammates vs. what goes on in LA!!
If clippers can get Paul George he should stay if not, he needs to go where those big ol' women are.
He should sign with the pelicans
Colin: "Golden States window is closing" ...
Curry 29
KD 28
Klay 27
Green 27
Makes sense 👌
Been saying the same thing. Now I understand 70 million is alot but if he takes the money then the whole "Chris Paul is winner and a competitor and a pitbull" narrative comes to a stop. We will no longer have to accept it as fact.

u r right, he is not john stockton because he is chris paul.. 😂😂 the guy who said that is a fool.
The clippers won't have the money to get pg or a sign and trade for blake so no pg to clippers
Idk why but Chris Broussard reminds me of Yondu
Perceptions reality, I text a friend's of mines and said Chris Paul should go to the spurs. The spurs has a great system, No matter the age of the player they still produce at a high level. Tim ducan is a great example.
The Spurs don't need Chris Paul: Dejounte Murray.
Chris Paul should sign with the Atlanta Falcons

The Spurs are far more likely to sign George Hill in the offseason. He was Gregg Popovich's favorite player during his time in SA.
I agree either go back to New Orleans or go to SA.
No state income tax in Texas.
"He's not even John Stockton"...smh.
John Stockton lmao. He's great, but c'mon dude
That dude talking in the beginning needs to stop disrespecting CP3
NBA should of never vetoed the CP3 trade.
This is WHY they really play.... MILLIONS!!! lol
Who you got, Kawhi and Chris Paul? Or Durant and steph curry?
NobodyImportant3
Great question. Steph & KD are some of the best scorers this league has ever seen. Really explosive. But they can be turnover prone and KD has only recently improved his defense while Steph is still a sieve on that end -- except intercepting passing lanes.

he's not even John Stockton... the disrespect ist real
"He's not even John Stockton"
John Stockton, the all time leader in both assists and steals is a low bar now?
Who mans is this?
Colin forgot to mention Romo as organization that failed him
what about Tony Parker? as a Spurs fan I don't think he gets enough credit.
best fit for CP#3 would be the BUCKS of Milconsin
I like how no one complains the fact that the same guys that condemns the "super teams" in Cleveland and Golden State but the Spurs would be totally different.....how????
Chris Paul to the Sacramento Kings!
someone should send this to chris paul
I disagree all we need is PG13 & some else
81 million says CP3 kicks back and wins one for LA
cp3 is a plus but they're still not good enough with Gasol and Aldridge
Dom2k mentioned this a few weeks ago. He could replace the aging Tony Parker.
I said this months ago,.CP3 needs to go to the Spurs and finish his career..He wants a ring, and they give him the best shot from a systematic and coaching standpoint to get it done
i want him in Milwaukee
this guy colin always finds a way to bring up Andrew Luck lol
Come to the Spurs bro!
"Not even john Stockton".... Where did y'all find this clown
This team is a dynasty for at least another 5 years
$70 million! NOT even thinking about giving it up!
Go to the Clippers Paul!!!!! Please!
Nope, We do it for the money.
Please fire that guy
Do Spurs even have enough cap space?
CP3 to the Spurs? I like that!
No..
Westbook Needs To Signs with The Spurs if he wants to win a title
Chris Paul should actually stay. Doc should trade Blake Griffin & Luc Mbah a Moute for Paul George & Thaddeus young.
Colin always knockin on Golden State and slobbin on the Queen
What has CP done that makes him HOF?
CP3 already has a ton of money, if he wants a ship, he'll give up money. If he wants money, and doesn't care about ships, then he'll resign.
Sign with the Bucks
*"Not even John Stockton!"*
Yeah, what an insult, 'not even top 3 in his position all-time', omg what a tragic failure right there...
that would be a great move actually... the spurs system would greatly accommodate paul as he starts to hit the downside of his prime the next couple seasons... pop would do wonders with him and Leonard on the team...
The guy to the far right looks a lot like kid cudi
Chris Paul and Anthony Davis to the Spurs Trade Lamarcus Aldridge, Tony Parker and Danny Green
