Ron Artest was *THE* headcase in the league and became a perfect role player on the Lakers and is now the zen veteran. Boogie isn't "poison", he'll do well in NOLA
Except he was on Kobe's team, who he had a great amount of respect for and who was a strong leader. Not sure if NOLA has that, Anthony Davis has nowhere the status that Kobe held
Im fine with it..Hield will be scorer and just getting rid of Cousins is a load off the Kings back, If we get anything from the draft pick that's gravy, although the Kings should have demanded it was unprotected
Why is it a bad trade? He wasn't a player to build around, self centered and no cornerstone of a franchise. Look at their record in the last 5 years ... He had the stats but the win loss column is more important
YEAH. IT'S A HEIST FOR THE KINGS. WE GAVE UP A PLAYER WHO DESTROYS LOCKER ROOM AND TEAMS FOR A YOUNG COMING UP SG IN HIELD. GOOD LUCK WITH DMC DESTROYING YOUR TEAM TOO. LMAO! THANKS NOP FOR TAKING THIS CANCER FROM US. HERE WE COME PLAYOFF. STILL MORE TRADES TO COME, ROSTER AIN'T COMPLETE YET. LMAO. DELUSIONAL NOP FANS, THINKS DAVIS AND COUSINS BY THEMSELVES CAN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. BOTH WILL GET MAX, NO MORE ROOM TO BRING IN ANOTHER ALL-STAR. LMAO! THIS YEARS DRAFT IS GOING TO BE DEEP TOO! THANKS NOP!
nicholas Akubariki fr. like once money gets so high winning is more important. I think anyone would take 170 and a team that can win vs 200 on a team with no chance
Right. I'm honestly shocked people think that extra 30 mil means much of anything. If he's even the least bit prudent with his lifestyle, he won't be running out anytime soon.
I'm a Kings fan and I'm sad how trade happened but I'm happy for Boogie. Divac and co. wanted Hield badly in the draft. Let's just see which team actually made the offer. Lakers were willing to give Nick young, clarkson and offload Deng. That's it. Phoenix considered trading but there was no offer. There were very few teams in league who wanted boogie. Either way team isn't going anywhere. No playoffs performance in Sacramento for Boogie. I'll just move on from this. I don't think this is some total tragedy for us. We'll move on.
This wasn't the worst trade in NBA history. I still think the 2007 Pau Gasol trade was even worse. The Lakers gave up KWAME BROWN, and like two other guys whose names nobody can remember, for perrenial All Star Pau Gasol who was in his prime. The Kings made a bad trade, but they still got more for Cousins than the Grizzlies got for Gasol back in 07.
EyeLoveTheStars one of those two guys nobody can name was Marc Gasol. That was actually a good trade for the Grizzlies. It was the third straight year they lost in the first round.
Keifer Janz they vilified VC here in Toronto after that trade... Babcock was the worst thing to happen to the organization. I still can't find it in me to be a Raps fan because of that deal.
I agree they should have told DeMarcus Cousins in private as oppose of telling him in front of the news reporters while being interview, they were hoping for a negative reaction and they did not get it, so that it would be all over the news and the world. It shows me that the Kings are no better than him. The real men in the Kings Org. would have done just that. Now as far as Devac, he is only good as he was as a player, yet he is a VP. I wonder why the reporters havent ask Cousins why he is acting this way, as oppose to destorying this man the way their doing (corp). It takes a real man to sit down and discuss to a man what is going on with him on the inside. Someone knows, but those that are talking against him and not for him are nothing more than puppets to make a buck on him. (Cousins) Its really sad that what they are doing is trying to destory his character as a person and as a man. I will pray that things will work out for him on the Pelicans team. It amaze me how the puppets come to destory a character of a man for the ratings and money. :(
I been thinking about this trade and I came to this if the pelicans will get a point guard like john wall boogie would stay as a pelican or if they get a play maker that's the only way
This right here is exactly why I think the Peli's will be dangerous. Thus is a HUGE eye opener for DMC, because he's now getting drug through the mud all over the place. I think he will use this situation as motivation, he's pretty much going back home as well, close to family, so that should help. I think he straightens up, to prove everyone wrong, goes down there to NOLA, the greatest city in the world I might add, and correct his ways and BAAAALLLLLL OUUUUUUT!!! BOOK IT!
So this is all on Demarcus? His personality only has to do with him and not the toxic instabe environment that is the Kings? That is a joke. You get a superstar for petty change and your wondering if it was a risky move? Wtf!
This trade could be the catalyst for Cousins and Westbrook playing in LA. Cousins will not see the CBA money that will go to 5+ year players for a LONG TIME now in fact he wont be able to make the kinda money available in the new CBA till hes atleast 33 and at that point my not be signed to a Max no matter where he is. Sacremento has basically clipped his earning potential for the rest of his career unless he remains a top 3 centre at age 32
Could be a mistake? Bruh, it is a mistake. You traded the best center in the league to a Western Conference team. Both the Kings and Pelicans are even with each other. Seriously, there is a one win difference between the two teams. The Kings literally just sent themselves to their doom.
The fact of the matter is thus dude Cousins need to be humbled. The pelicans like Jim Jack said need to sit cousins down and say hey "this is how we expect you to conduct yourself, if you can't handle that. Go sit down
DeMarcus is the top Big Man today. Team USA, Olympic Gold Medalist, and NBA All Star and all for what in exchange? They could've sent him to LA for Blake. If they want to give him away for role players they could gave him to New York, either team in LA, or Cleveland for Shump and JR if theyre just gonna give him away. It's not his fault he had 6 coaches in 7 yrs, 2 owners, and multiple GMs. They've let go Isaiah Thomas the number two scorer in the league, Seth Curry who's starting in Dallas and can dribble and shoot like Steph, Rajon Rondo who led the league in assists last year, and Tyreke Evans when he was an All Star, and for what? The new Arena will be half fillled. 7ft Willie Caullie Stein who can guard point guards and is the fastest Big in NBA history, if moved to small forward like Dirk, would be an All Star but he's being handled wrong. This team has a front office that doesn't want to win.
Why would you trade him to 1) another west coast team (2) get nothing back really in equal value. They should traded him to the 76's for Okafur and Noel Norlins. Trade him to the Nets for Brook Lopez. Or trade him to the Knicks for Carmelo. Then the Pelicans made a mistake in trading for him bcuz how is he gonna fit in with Anthony Davis??? And you included Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway in the deal so what guards does the Pelicans have left outside Jrue Holiday???
Gifted Images LLC I'm just naming trades that would make sense for the Kings. That trade for Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway doesn't make sense.
PharaohLawLess1 I think the Kings realized that Boogie isn't gonna work out going forward. So they needed to hurry up and move him. Like what Phil is trying to do now with Carmelo.
It's a loss for everyone involved. I mean people are talking crazy like this move makes the Pelicans a contender. Ha! Now he has to play in the toughest division in basketball. Good luck winning a lot still Cousins.
I don't think it was a good deal but this is where it's at.Sacramento is a bad organization so they lost him for almost nothing he is a problematic player so he loses 30 million on the table.
problem child boogie, talk about dysfunction the nba has 30 teams 3 maybe 4? has a chance of competing for a title this season, and this formula has been the prevailing outlook for the nba since it's inception, and I beg someone to jog my memory to a time when the Sacramento Kings were relevant
I feel like Colin divorced just for the analogies
Now thats funny.
Matan A That's hilarious and prolly true
One of the funniest comments I've ever seen on youtube!
Matan A 😁
W
This is like when you accidentally quicksell a Diamond player when you were trying to send him to the auction
Collin had a divorce? I'm surprised he doesn't use divorce analogies more...
kappa
Joseph Hunt he uses that analogy on his show the herd at least once a month.. if not more
Black Bond definitely more than once
yeah if not more (but usually he uses it correctly)
Joseph Hunt kreygasm
"could be mistake for kings"
You're really going out on a limb with this hot take
Andrew Cremona the kings dont win anythingm
Ron Artest was *THE* headcase in the league and became a perfect role player on the Lakers and is now the zen veteran. Boogie isn't "poison", he'll do well in NOLA
WhateverReally great example!
Except he was on Kobe's team, who he had a great amount of respect for and who was a strong leader. Not sure if NOLA has that, Anthony Davis has nowhere the status that Kobe held
artest took quite a while to develop. No teams can afford that if they're gunning for wins
WhateverReally Rockets Artest was better
Josh Struble lies
i swear this dude uses his "hold players accountable" line every show
Kevin Prass yes xd
that's all he ever says smh you're right
Which one are yall talking about?
Here's what I don't like about media people. You trash someone name then when the person comes up to you, you guys play victim. Like stop
Dont have problem with them trading....Its just simply a bad trade for the kings.
Go look at their acquisitions in the past decade.
LMAO. THANKS NOP!
Shawn Williams I cannot tell if this is supposed to be funny or not.
How about they take responsibility for not creating a team to support him.
lol all jim jackson does is talk about everyone being held accountable. harps on and on about westbrook and being accountable too
I'm surprised to see Chris Carter on these shows talking about basketball. He really knows his stuff.
Dude played ball before the NFL and could probably have made it to the NBA
Quit calling a grown man....... Boogie! Thats the first problem!
Brandon Howliet
That's his nickname
there he goes with the divorce analogy lmao
very good point guys, the attitude and hard to coach player will be a tough challenge for the Pelican coach to deal with but will see how it goes
Jim Jackson uses the "not accountable" argument for everything
1:54 - I can see that line of thinking if we were talking about an 8 year old kid, but Cousins is supposed to be a grown man, a PROFESSIONAL!
in terms of fit, i think the Wizards, Rockets, and OKC. Idk about the Pelicans, but its interesting for sure
He won't be hurting after losing that 30 mil. He now has a better chance to compete
nicholas Akubariki fr. like once money gets so high winning is more important. I think anyone would take 170 and a team that can win vs 200 on a team with no chance
Right. I'm honestly shocked people think that extra 30 mil means much of anything. If he's even the least bit prudent with his lifestyle, he won't be running out anytime soon.
Josh P yea people are just crazy.
+WeirdSludgeMan He will make it back in endorsements especially if they win
Heard rumors that the Kings were talking to Detroit about a deal involving Drummond. IF that is true, this deal looks even more ridiculous.
JIM JACKSON AT IT AGAIN WITH ACCOUNTABILITY. READ A BOOK LEARN SOME NEW WORDS PLEASE.
I'm a Kings fan and I'm sad how trade happened but I'm happy for Boogie. Divac and co. wanted Hield badly in the draft. Let's just see which team actually made the offer. colin always finds an analogy with divorces lmaoooo
The most reasonable analysis I've seen, everyone's quick to bash the Kings as being so stupid. They needed to move on from Cuz..
The tooth paste is out the toob. good one
Looking back to see everyone be WRONG about the Cousins trade! :D
This ended up being a steal for Sactown!
Wow, so Boston could've had Cousins but they didn't want him. I did not know that.
tooo late too late, we got him baby! #Pelicannation ya heard me
"The toothpaste is out of the tube" jimmy jackson smh
the only person I seen DeMarcus respect as a coach was Coach K in the Olympics a couple of years ago..
Well trading him was ok but they should have gotten more picks out of it tbh
Off topic: Where did DeMarcus Cousins get the "Boogie" nickname?
That Divorce really hurt my Dog Colin . I feel for you Bruh.
This wasn't the worst trade in NBA history. I still think the 2007 Pau Gasol

Reeferal the Vince carter to New Jersey was a horrible trade for the raps.
Also the nets trading for pierce and kg at the tail end of there career was a bad deal.
Keifer Janz they vilified VC here in Toronto after that trade... Babcock was the worst thing to happen to the organization. I still can't find it in me to be a Raps fan because of that deal.
I think tyreke and buddy may produce given enought time or maybe they trade tyreke.
The kings will experience "BLOODY DIVORCE DIVAC"😂😂😂
I agree they should have told DeMarcus Cousins in private as oppose of telling him in front of the news reporters while being interview, they were hoping for a negative reaction and they did not get it, so that it would be all over the news and the world. As a #Sixers fan.. I LOVE this trade.. cant wait to use that lottery pick! Thanks Sacramento!!!
the only mistake kings made was not getting a big guy in return. buddy hield + a decent big guy would have been ok!!!
Funny how Brousard was trying to push the "Dwight Howard is back" narrative earlier this season.
I would have left him with the Kings. Too many problems with him. Unlike the Worm with the Bulls back in the late 90's
If Colin didn't get a divorce he wouldn't have anything to compare sports "drama" too😂
I been thinking about this trade and I came to this if the pelicans will get a point guard like john wall boogie would stay as a pelican or if they get a play maker that's the only way
Shots fired at Colin's ex wife lol 😂😂😂

LABRATRE Agreed! NBA is sleeping on DMC! 💪🏾😎
when people ask me why I have trust issues I tell them Im a kings fan.
Lmao Collin always bring up his divorce , I guess he ain't doing too hot
So this is all on Demarcus? His personality only has to do with him and not the toxic instabe environment that is the Kings? That is a joke. You get a superstar for petty change and your wondering if it was a risky move? Wtf!

Nice job Vlade, now bring some euro players, Bogdan Bogdanovic waiting your call. :)
Winning heals everything point You are missing
Colin said it best,"Not a good time to split ways if its not working just move on"...Instead of this Analysis saying there 2 sense...smh
would love to see demarcus playing for OKC..
What's going to happen with Anthony Davis??
Since when did Matt Barnes become involved with the Media ?
Nah that's kid cudi
BrxRck facts lmaooo
Could be a mistake? Bruh, it is a mistake. You traded the best center in the league to a Western Conference team. Both the Kings and Pelicans are even with each other. Seriously, there is a one win difference between the two teams. The Kings literally just sent themselves to their doom.
Anyone else notice how Colin Cowherd constantly brings up his divorce?
That divorce hurt Colin really bad lol. He always brings it up when it has nothing to do with the topic
The fact of the matter is thus dude Cousins need to be humbled. The pelicans like Jim Jack said need to sit cousins down and say hey "this is how we expect you to conduct yourself, if you can't handle that. Go sit down
Its not that hard to realize what the kings intentions are! They are Tanking! All eyes on Fultz or even better yet, draft the hometown kid Lonzo Ball.
It was a mistake, for the Queens, oh well.
this dude fav word is accountable like damm... How many times is he going to use that word?
Sacramento Kings always trade good players so they could have bad players in the future..example Isaiah Thomas.
why does he have to be the person ya'll want him to be. ....and losing 30 mill out of 220 fir piece of mind seems like a good deal
If the Pelicans can add another wing player they could probably get to the 5th seed Imo

This team has a front office that doesn't want to win.
I am probably the only who thinks this, but I can't stand Cris Carter.
We'll see Lebron in the Finals Chris!
first reaction to trade..."didnt sacramento draft tyreke evans?"..."yes they did". face to palm, sacramento kings, quit life.
I wish he get counseling for his divorce he obviously can't seem to get over! Ctfu omg! Always bringing that bs up and comparing apples to oranges!
they have 3 other young centers who have great potential and buddy heild isn't a role player
The Kings are a laughing stock.
Broussard needs to dye all his hair....goatee included.
cousin told me he signing with lakers off season
Broussard with his typical "I talked to executives" line...how do these networks hire this fool
Why would you trade him to 1) another west coast team (2) get nothing back really in equal value. They should traded him to the 76's for Okafur and Noel Norlins. And you included Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway in the deal so what guards does the Pelicans have left outside Jrue Holiday???
PharaohLawLess1 76ers ain't neither for him. Carmelo has a no trade in his contract and he'll only sign off on 2 teams: Clippers and Cavs.
+Gifted Images LLC This trade could've happen at anytime so why rush it and noy get back equal value. It's just not a good trade
this dude keeps using his divorce on every example :))
good luck (Liam Neeson voice)
colin compares everything to relationships lol.
A lot of Ohio on that set
Divorce advice was terrible.
It's a loss for everyone involved. I mean people are talking crazy like this move makes the Pelicans a contender. Ha! Now he has to play in the toughest division in basketball. Good luck winning a lot still Cousins.
Adonis Blandon still better than the kings I rather play with Ad and lose than play with trash
I don't think it was a good deal but this is where it's at.Sacramento is a bad organization so they lost him for almost nothing he is a problematic player so he loses 30 million on the table.
is buddy still a role player with 20+ points a game?
Collin misses his ex wife, clearly
Could be
lol
they gave him for free
grizzlies blew a 3-0 lead
I could bet you Collin got a divorce because he couldn't satisfy his wife...BET
problem child boogie, talk about dysfunction the nba has 30 teams 3 maybe 4? has a chance of competing for a title this season, and this formula has been the prevailing outlook for the nba since it's inception, and I beg someone to jog my memory to a time when the Sacramento Kings were relevant
2002. There ya go.
this comment section 82-0. no chill😂
Wat Colin got divorced wat a surprise 😂
