So one of my favorite memories of my dad and I, were times like this. We'd roll through the implement dealer looking at equipment and dreaming. He's been gone just over a year now at 85 years. When I want to go to my happy place, this is where I go.
@@FarmingFixingFabricating Gee, We're all wondering why... Ya know ya can't burn that candle at both ends to stay warm in the middle. It surely doesn't work for long. Take care of yerself Andy... 👍🙂. Ward sold my then father-in-law I think it was a used gas 3020. Lloyd ran the parts... Hoskins used to be Case, just west of Half Acre, below a ice cream stand. When I was there in the 90s, one of'em still used to come to town on a big ole chained up Case with a 10' snowplow on it.
This is my favorite farm channel. I dairy farmed most of my life and this keeps it current for me. Thanks Andy. If you don't want to farm anymore, I'm sure you would have a career in Hollywood.
G'day Andy. Farming Fixing and Fabricating. Just love it. You have a very interesting working life. Never a dull moment. Thanks see you on the next one.
Thank you for another interesting video and I really appreciate the time and detail you put in to give us the content. Good luck with spring planting and I hope that the weather cooperates for you too. Cheers!
Continues to amaze me ! Your shop turns out a tremendous amount of work. And I do like how you keep on top of the costs associated with the parts and repair jobs on the various pieces of equipment. It must still make you take a deep breath(okay, maybe stop breathing, lol) when you get the bills in at the end of the month. Your farm is a fascinating operation that makes for great videos ! Okay, that was your feel-good moment. Get back to work ! Lol
Andy It’s amazing all the work you always have going on Never a dull moment Good luck on the pottinger mower The new used planting tractor and the manure spreader
Hi Andy. Busy busy. Lost a friend last Wednesday. You riding through ,looking at the Tractor's reminded me of all the times we did that. He was a good heart-ed fellow . Has always I Liked, shared. God Bless and all my very best.
Machinery dealer drive thru's are always interesting ! Some serious silage mowing capacity coming up for this season . Good to see the snow mostly gone .
Andy, you're the funniest guy on RUclips. Would be priceless to see a video of you in the corporate boardroom. One of the best channels on RUclips by far. Cheers!
Excellent video it's nice to see the one store dealership still going selling John Deere equipment I my area here we RDO equipment that has a huge amount of dealerships in Minnesota and the upper Midwest and Midwest machinery that has around 20 stores it's tough to get good customer service when the dealership get so big
Andy you're gonna have to give Sarah a raise. She ain't talking in the vlogs until she can see more green. Lol I always enjoy these dealership tours and resellers and auctions.
Must be turning a bit too sharp. We have a large water tank that we use to haul out the waste water from the parlor and if we turn too sharp with the water tanker completely full, will snap the spindle in half. What we did to keep from this happing again was to fill the tank 1/2 to 3/4 full and problem solved. Just a thought. I remember your spindle breaking not too long ago. You might want to step back and watch the guys when your spreader is full and check the turning radius. It’s very common that they break when over loaded. Thank you for sharing, sir!
Ever think of rhino lining the inside of the compartments or a similar product? Had a rescue truck at the fire department done with it and it prevented the compartment from getting dinged up. After all you can put a firefighter in a rubber room with two bowling balls and come back 30 minutes later, one is broken and the other missing!! Looking forward at seeing everything finished.
when you have a dead end shaft, there is often enough room to drill and tap for a grease zerk, Pump grease in and push the shaft out. Leave the zerk in there or remove and thread a plug in. Just a thought.
Worked for a couple of guys up till August, owned a feedlot and a grain farm, nothing was out of place everything was green and shiny, except for the claas combines haha, but it was a very tight run operation and honestly loved it there. But I'm just doing straight grain now at a different location
Great stuff...machinery dealers seen fairly competitive on inventory. Red or Green means a substantial investment and the technologies bring greater production per hour.
I’d love to hear your explanation of the workings of the different types of transmissions in the bigger tractors, that one that your changing the wheel spacing had some good acceleration.
Was hilarious to see you make those boys blush.... lol ! There still trying to figure out what to do with the first inch 😂 Don’t tell them about the 😜Andy they will run away 😭ing and 😲ing..... 👍
My best paint gun was a sharp HVLP from NAPA and it was cheap. I am surprised they allowed them to stay dealers. The oldest supposed dealer was in Walpole NH, RN Johnson was forces to close because they were one store. When they closed they still had some new old stock for early Deere tractors and equipment in the inventory. I now have to deal with united ag that absorbed Stanton in CT and Hudson River Tractor in NY.
I did the math Andy If I remember my Pipeliner's Math class from my short time at Iowa State, Mass value by 2.205 == 451.9 lbs. I was asked to leave due to college hijinks, Think Animal house .lol Great video once again my friend.
LoL 😆 My uncle was "green", we were "red". Dad would always chide Pete, the reason JDs are yellow and green vs all yellow ..... They're picked from the lemon tree before they're ripe. Personally, my fave was/is 5020.

What’s goin on man, I hope your week is goin good. I was wondering how you guys are making out with the shop work before spring. Been kinda shitty here this week so far with problems breakdowns and what not. That tanker really likes to break spindles huh? Take it easy man thanks for a great video they really make my day
I am surprised That John Deere let's them stay as a single dealership I know a lot of dealerships closed because Deere wanted them to open more locations! And your right the wrench for the inside dual bolts should come with the tractor for the price you pay!
Can't wait to see the ol 4020 finished If I rember correctly nobody wanted to drive it until the cab was off then everyone wanted to drive it!! I guess to work on there tanning lol
You are teaching Andrew a ton. He has a very knowledgeable father to look up to. From personal experience though I hope you aren’t teaching him to smoke. Seems like a lot of the guys and yourself included have a smoke of some sort most of the time. Hard habit to quit. Thanks for the videos.
Its a tough habit to quit sure but I doubt he tells him its a good idea to start... I'm sure he tells him all the time not to ever start because its a terrible habit. That doesn't mean Andy or his guys can't smoke at work. Thats a terrible way to think. I don't want to sound nasty but this is a mind your own business type situation you know. Hes free to smoke whenever he wants. If Jr wants to start smoking, its his own choice. I'm sure his father is constantly telling Jr not to start it because its a terrible habit thats tough to quit. That doesn't mean Andy and the other grown men who work their can't smoke. Of all the things going on in the world that influence the youth, his father smoking is not a big deal. Hes blessed to have his father in his life and to live the life he has. Notary children get the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of their father like Jr will be able to. To fault Andy for smoking a cigarette is just wrong. The man works harder and more hours than most people do in a month. If he wants to smoke a cigarette, he's free to do so when and where ever he wants. Again, guarantee Andy tells his soon often about how its a terrible decision to start and how bad of a habit it is. Just because Andy and the other grown men smoke, doesn't mean Jr is gonna look at it and think "oh wow thats cool I want to do it" Jr has a better head kn his shoulders than that... Hes not like the average kid of the present time. He is smarter and has more common sense than alot of adults do now a days. It isn't your place to speak at Andy about him smoking. You're not Jrs father or mother, you should really mind your own business. Thats not very man like or proper to but your nose in others peoples business like that. Just saying. Back in the day, you would have gotten the what for for doing such a thing. Thats very rude and inappropriate and disrespectful. Andy is a better dad than any kid could ever hope for. Nobody is perfect and nobody ever will be. Leave the man be and concentrate on bettering yourself and your life instead of worrying about a grown man who busts his back to feed the population. Not the place to stick your nose.
@@mikeznel6048 Pretty sensitive huh. I am just sharing my personal experience. He is free to do whatever he pleases. Same as I am free to share whatever I please. I hope JR never takes it up, but multiple studies and my personal experiences show that children of smokers are much more likely to smoke.
Andy... ive been watching your content since you started youtubing.... my week is not complete until i watch your latest... I HAVE ONE QUESTION FOR YOU...How do you stay organized? between fixing what breaks, daily chores, and crop scheduling/harvest... could you do a video on how you juggle your crazy schedule?
With all the painting and body work your guys do, you should have a separate building just for that. When not used for painting, use it as a wash and pressure wash bay.
probably buy that back up wrench from any industrial supply company. could be called a piper wrench. I believe that is what we call them as a boilermaker
