Most people don’t realize how expensive farming is. There are so many things that farmers have to spend their money on whether it be for a dairy operation, row cropping, pigs, or any other type of farming. High expenses and low income put our dairy operation out of business when I was either 15 or 16 years old. My father managed to keep the land and raised some beef cattle, chickens, and pigs for a good while after we had sold everything. He just had to start over from scratch. The day of the auction was the worst day of my life.
I really expected Mike Less to be sitting in the cab upon delivery holding his camera ready to give you a walk thru on the inner working of this new tractor......
@@farmhandmike Mike, hi from Rostov! I like watching your videos. I have a question for you: Rostselmash is starting to build a tractor assembly shop - are they planning to assemble Nemesis? Or will it be the assembly of Versatile 370/ Rostselmash 1370?
Being a Canadian, I’m pretty happy to see you try a Versatile. I hope you have really good luck with it & enjoy the experience. It’s really nice to see you getting some perks from the efforts you’ve put into your channel. Well done young man!!! looking fwd to the next vid to see this tri-colour machine mowing & an update to the new construction. Take care & stay safe. Cheers
New toy. Salespeople know how to hook you. Like renting a car. Always the top model and better than what you drive. Lots of "ooh look at that", "that cool", "wow room inside".
That hub you replaced on the cutter bar is one for below the drive shafts. Those ones aren’t made to shear off. You need the one with one like 5 or 6 teeth inside the hub. You might want to get that swapped for the correct one before you cut too much.
I don't often post comments to your channel, you've got more than enough on your palette and I imagine your computer time is limited. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoy each and every single one of your videos, you do it really well. You portray your tasks honestly, no glossing and most certainly no boasting. You're a committed, dedicated and arduous worker, you toil, you love, you laugh, you play and above all, you're dedicated both spiritually and practically. You'd make a bloody good Aussie, moreover, you are a wonderful American. Cheers from Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia. In summary, well done and thank you.
That’s a badass tractor! I’d love to see you guys get a fendt. I see more and more of them being delivered on trucks around the northeast. (I’m a truck driver)
My 1st thought on that new tractor was it looks like a Transformer!! Lol Maximus Prime goes Country!!! Another great video, You are an amazing mechanic I don't think there's anything you couldn't fix if you gave yourself 5 minutes to figure it out! Blessed be!
I live in Brazil, more specifically in Alegrete in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Your channel is wonderful, very good. May God bless you and your beautiful family !! A big hug!!
No, the Kubota cab is the same as the Versatile, designed and developed by Versatile. The Kubota’s are built for them by Versatile with some minor changes. They are by far the sharpest looking tractors in the field.
That hub that you put on your mower is designed for an older style mower the aren't shock hubs if you hit a rock with that hub it will smash the gearbox All to bits. The one you need is missing teeth and it's thinner that's why you had that washer looking cap on top of the gearbox.. that prevents the teeth from falling in the bearing..
One of the most notable features is the way you problem solve and although I know you probably bounce some things off the old man, you still work the issues yourself. Great videos!
Rember that you can sharpen the blades without taking them off with a anglegrinder And firt time i drove a deutz fahr 7250 ttv that thing is was massive!
I am astonished at how complex and user friendly today's tractors are. I can now understand how the discbine cuts and crimps your hay and triticale at the same time. I hope Messick's isn't jealous Ag Con is giving you a new ride to demonstrate to all the farmers who watch your channel.
Kind of like the CVX Engine with the Case we have at the moment. Field works its great, on the road it takes some getting used to. Tried to get you on Instagram Eric, Got a couple of questions to ask about the cubicles you just put in if you don't mind
Hi Eric, I hope you torque down the large bolt at 1:53 minutes enough. My JD discbine is torqued to 250 ft lbs plus medium strength loctite to keep the turtle disc from flying off at 3000 rpm. Use a large torque wrench and read the manual closely. All the best Eric!
Amazing tractors! Versatiles are built not far from where i live. They are top notch tractors and a force to be recon with! They are a first choice for me we did a demo with one of the first 210 of the production line!
That's awesome man! Congrats on the demo! Have they given you a set number of hours you can put on it? If not, I'd show that off not only mowing but planting.
For your hydraulics, if you have the ability to use your joystick (normally the front loader controls) it makes it real nice. I have that same mower and it makes it easy to just pull back on the joystick and the mower picks up and then push to either the left or right and the mower goes there. Makes it to where I am not searching for the correct hydraulic when trying to make turns.
Wow very nice tractor! I really want a full review after you are done. I really like the fact that it has the Cummins motor in it. Would you consider one to replace your magnum?
Versatile actually , I think had the first IVT type transmission . It was called the 300 hydro mec and although it had a hydrostatic drive for light work it also had an ivy mode for heavy work . I had one for about 5 years . V6 cummins very fuel efficient articulated tractor .
Can you go over the foot pedals and what they do? Im assuming one is gas and one is brake, but it seems a little weird for a cvt to have a clutch. Also does using the hand throttle clash with the foot throttle?
That new hub you installed isn’t a shear hub, it is meant for a driven disc on the end of the bar. The hub you need shouldn’t have a complete set of splines in it.
What camera are you using? I find it interesting what different cameras creators are using? I live on a small farm and am looking to pursue the dairy industry. I find this kind of content very interesting and inspiring. Keep up the hard work!
i like how you can put the camera down and do the work, instead of being awkward and doing it with the camera, or worse, make someone else do it because you are "too busy" all in all a very nice video
It's a fantastic looking tractor, I love the colours. The cab looks really nice...however that white plastic around the steering wheel is really cheap looking
It's pretty good my friend but man everything so complex I'm used to driving a semi well I'm on disability I could never drive again but she wishes I remember back a 1962 when I was a kid without a tractor with a stick right in the transmission up-and-down the bucket and that 6PTOZ and computers and all that cheese but the it's pretty interesting so OK God-bless you guys keep up the good work and I can't wait for the next one man makes me feel like a monetary again 1962
Called sacrificial protection when something like that bit on the mower is designed to break first. Most keys in shafts are there as sacrificial protection too as again they are cheap and easy to replace.

When I assemble anything that is splined, I use grease in the splines. Helps reduce wear and eases removal during future replacement.
