I wish India all the best, they have the OP young talent to dominate the chess world soon. Nihal, Pragg, Arjun, Gukesh, etc, they are just stacked, and with grace and class. The future is bright! With love from USA.
@chetanamarnath3627 Very bad game design. If a player is out of legal moves that should be a checkmate, obviously. They should lose. Why reward the losing player who was clearly outplayed? The stalemate concept leads to too many draws. But it's understandable that the game is so poorly made because people made it 100 years ago and back then they had no good knowledge about game design theory. You would expect smarter people to change the rules to make it make more sense though. 🤔 I guess they decided to stick with dumb rules because of tradition.
3:08 I'm trying to understand why cpu didn't like this move. I'm pretty noob but I just see a bunch of trades which in my mind sounds even-ish. I can't figure out what move white can make to lock the game up.

wow, nihal's idea try to draw the game is brilliant, he made nodirbek feel shock 3sec lol 😅
For those wondering why Nodirbek didn't take the rook , well had he taken the rook it would have been stalemate 😊
Nice attempt by Nihal at a draw ❤
Why is that stalemate?? What is the rule?? Could u please elaborate.?
@@a-22saurabhsingh25if you don't have any valid legal moves to play, but your king is not under check, then it's a stalemate.

Well played to both players. It was a nice game
Wow, what a game! Congrats to Nodirbek, but much respect to Nihal for almost coming back 💯
8:52 imagine if Nihal drew this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
09:07 nihal should protect his pawns
9:41 what was the right sequence of moves for black to stalemate???
maybe to put rook on g4 and then at g8,
pushing our pawn & not letting king to be near pawn and keeping eye on a8 queen
best part of this game was the smiles from both at the end ! #sportmanship
This is the first tournament that I have seen where the clock is kept on the left side of the player with the black pieces.
its arbiters choice
Because the arbiters have to be able to see all the clocks from one position
8:18 queen sac👸

Its Bb4, after White plays it, blacks position simply collapses there are too many threats and pins
someone please explain me that why here 8:39 do white king has not killed a black Rook?????🤨🤨
That’s what I was saying
Then it was stalemate.Black has no further move.
@@tanu3026 ohh i got it thanks 🙌🏻

3:08 why was that a blunder move by Nihaal as per the bar. And shockingly Nodirbek missed it.. was it Bb4 pinning the Knight to rook?
I was thinking the same! After Bb4 I think Black loses material by force.
Same I didnt do deep calculation but I suspect the move was Bb4, seems natural and aggressive.
What a queen sac.
It was a theoretical draw but nihal was low on time and he lose.
May he win next

There was a mate in 3 at 7:25 ..
.Rg1 check ..king moves to h2 or h3
Rh1 check
Qg1 mate
Am i correct???
Nope, there is no Rh1 check after Kh2, because white Queen covers h1 square.
@@jeweljoseph3671or else what about direct Rh1 and Qg1
if Kh2 mean then Rh1+ , white queen capture the u capture back mean u lose a material bcoz king h2 can capture queen h1

Why didn’t the king take the rook at 8:26?
Would've led to a stalemate. And thus a draw.

8:32 why. White not simply take rook with Queen...????
It's a stalemate (draw) otherwise
Did anyone notice that the clock is placed on opposite side🤔
When a Rook goes Rabid
What a moveeeeeeeee❤❤❤
This might be stupid, but why did the white king didnt take the Rook at 8.28 and then again at 8.32 ?
Then it would end up in draw because of stalemate
Then it would be a Draw if King Tank the Rook

Nihal blundered when he brought Queen n rook in white zone n exposed his King without support
why king did not took the rook after queen sacrifice
Because that would be a stalemate.
The purpose of queen sacrifise was a stalemate. He never wanted to win, but to avoid loss.
How is Nihal’s rating still 2600?!?!???????????????
It's rapid rating!
why not carry on checking?
Why didn't king kill the rook?

Who won
White. When white wins, kings are kept at white coloured squares in center. Same for black. When draw, it's on alternate colored squares.
