    "Now" /næʊ/, but "out"
    /αɪt/ & not /æʊt/. Strange!
    "Way=we come" & not "Us come", but "Thay faylst=thee feelst" instead of "Thah=thou feelst".

      17 years down the pits round the potteries, I can agree with you - the old ones have died out and the dialect largely gone with them. When I came to the potteries In 1970, I had to learn a whole new language burrah cud towk rate by th end on it ;
