Depends on who you ask. When it was released, it was a novel experience for mobile. Breath of the Wild but with anime girls and playable on your phone. It had the 3D flashy graphics that a lot of people really care about... On the phone If you're used to a lot of PC games with similar action RPG gameplay, Genshin doesn't really stand out anymore. Something like Elden Ring is way more challenging and engaging. Something like Skyrim remains the definitive experience in the genre for a lot of people. I'm sure even World of Warcraft might feel more epic for people If you like seeing, say, settings representing modern cultures, even if the characters are mostly Asian or White looking, you might appreciate the game more. The music is good but most mobile games have good music, seems it's harder for them to attract an audience if the music is mediocre The Gacha monetization model sucks regardless. Imagine needing to save various resources for a miniscule 2% chance to get the characters you want (at best, I've heard countless stories of 200 attempts for none of the characters the player wanted), and consider that WEAPONS are also tied to the same gambling system. It's really agonizing at times. If Raid turned you off because of its monetization, I would argue Genshin isn't that much better
@@forcelightningcable9639 His last point doesn't match and sounds like he's talking about another gacha game. I doubt he even played Genshin, and i bet he only comments to try to dissuade you from playing because he hates the game.
@@forcelightningcable9639 If it comes to gacha Genshin isn't that bad. It is ture that farming wishes (items used for gacha) can be quite time consuming, but if you engage in it, you will eventually get the character you want. It is because there is a system that guaranees you to get the desired character. If you spend enough wishes on their banner, you are guaranteed to get them. But here comes another problem. Banners. These are limited time opportunities that feature a specific character, and if you don't acquire them during this time, you will have to wait for the next banner, which usually comes a year or so from the last one (there are so exeptions... there is a character that hasn't had a rerun for over 540 days Dx). Talking about game aethetics, in my opinion music is truly great! I love Hoyoverse's soundtracs. The visuals are also really good. Game is preety demanding, and if you want good visuals you have to play on a good phone or a nice pc. Lore is AMAZING, and I mean it, AMAZING! The thought given into it is jaw dropping to me. I love every single one of the plot twists. Although the way lore it is presented can be boring, I recomend not skipping the main quests (and some bigger side quests too) because there are masterpieces. Gameplay is also cool as heck. Fighting, building teams, etc. I really like the RPG side of it - building you characters and watching them getting stronger and stronger, eventually leading to big dmg. Also the fact you can play litteraly any team, any characters. Obviously if they dont synergize well they won't be doing much dmg, but you can complete the main content with them. Free characters can be good too. It depends on the build, so if someone says "Genshin in p2w", well... they are wrong. I would also like to recomend an other game to you - Wuthering Waves. It is a gacha too, but set in a post apocaliptic world. Genshin is a lot more colourful, so if you dont like fairy-tale graphic, WuWa might be a go to. WuWa's visuals are much darker and creepier, and gameplay is more flashy. Sorry for being a month late with the reply. Hope I helped if you haven't already played Genshin😄 Lastly if you really want to get a look on Genshin, try it yourself. This way you will know if it is a game for you. Never give up on a game if you haven't tried it for yourself, and were just following someone's opinons. Gl~
Is Genshin Impact actually good? Like, actually actually? Raid Shadow Legends kinda ruined free to play for me lol so I really don’t know
