  • God refers to Job as perfect and Jesus says in Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Can we ever achieve perfection? Join us on this episode of Bible Q&A to get the answer to this question and much more! With James Rafferty and Ryan Day. Hosted by Ricky Carter.

    QUESTIONS COVERED:
    1. Could you please explain the investigative judgement? Isn't God all-knowing? He knows every act we commit right?
    2. Does it matter who performs a baptism on someone? Does it have to be a pastor? What does the Bible teach about who can perform baptisms?
    3. Does everybody have the Holy Spirit? In Galatians 5:22-23 the Bible states that the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, kindness, long-suffering, etc... However, some people do not claim to be Christians but display some fruits of the spirit. Do they have the Holy Spirit or do they not? Also, how does the Holy Spirit convict people if they don't have the Holy Spirit?
    4. Can you explain the "Sons of God" in Genesis 6 and Job 1:6?
    5. Can you please explain Genesis 3:6? I have always understood that Eve was not with Adam, but the verse says "and gave also to her husband with her". Some preachers are now saying Adam was with Eve. Is this correct?
    6. I live in a house with other Christians, most of them are not Seventh-day Adventists. They tend to do activities on Saturdays, including cooking and groceries. Even though I have already shared the gospel with them about the Sabbath, sometimes I still find myself in challenging situations trying not to break the Sabbath. How can I keep the Sabbath if I live in the same house with non-Sabbath keepers? Can I still eat their food if they cook or buy groceries on Sabbath?
    7. In Job 1:1 God called Job perfect, but Romans 3:10-12 says no one is good. Paul also says in Philippians 3:12 that he has not attained perfection yet. How could God call Job perfect when no one is good but God alone? Can we ever be perfect like Jesus?
    8. What kind of seal did God place in Cain so he would not be killed?
    9. In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus tells us not to store up treasures on earth but to store up treasures in heaven. Does this mean we are not to save for retirement? Can you explain Matthew 6:19-21?
    10. What truths are we supposed to be grounded in during these last days?

Again I ask please pray for my beloved friend Scott who is suffering from mental health affliction and addiction. No one can help but God and I have been praying that He would deliver, heal and save my friend. Scott is a kind soul that desperately needs God's help. Please cry out to God with me for my friend.

Does it mean you're not really saved, if you don't speak in Tongues?

    • @thierrynkubito6846
      @thierrynkubito6846 19 дней назад

Speaking in other tongues was never a test of whether someone is saved or not. It was a gift God gave to the early church for the purpose of evangelizing the world.
However there is today an imitation of that gift in many churches which is pseudo. I'm always cautious whenever I hear people claiming to have the gift of speaking in other tongues.

19:33 A) Actually, the folks that are avidly promoting this false teaching are getting it from the of dubious origin and age Book of [fan fiction] Enoch, and this book says that it is the FALLEN angels (aka, the Watchers) who procreate with the daughters of men. Not the UNfallen angels. And,
    B) this list of reasons Gen. 6 is speaking of the sons of Seth who followed and obeyed God, which I got from a really good sermon/lecture on this subject from Shalom Adventure TV (“Genesis 6 - Nephilim, Sons of God, Daughters of Men” uploaded March 14, 2023):
    1) Where in the Bible does it call EVIL angels Sons of God?
    2) Are angels - good or evil - given in marriage?
    3) Does the Bible say that angels can procreate?
    4) If a dog and cat have sex, will it produce anything? What would make us think that angels and humans having sex can produce anything?
    5) If the evil angels are having such a good time marrying & having sex with humans, why aren’t they doing it today?

Ok so there needs to be some words about some things said on this show.
@Ryan Day you did not address the salient question from the person living with the so-called christians who are not keeping the Sabbath and that question is this: Who's house is it? If it is the Sabbath keepers house and those people are not keeping the Sabbath but are cooking and shopping and maybe otherwise employed on the Sabbath then they need to go find somewhere else to live OR start keeping the Sabbath with the person asking the question. IF the person with the question, who is keeping the sabbath is living in the house of those who do not keep the Sabbath, well then eat what is offered but don't go asking if they can feed you or go to the store for you on the Sabbath. But anyone living in the house of the Sabbath keeper is obliged to keep the Sabbath also or find someplace else to live.
@James Raferty That is some speculation on your part arguing about which version of 'with' is which. The bible does plainly say Adam was with her. Whether he knew what she was doing or not is much speculation. While you make a case for your point that he didnt know what she had done, I could make a case he did know, that he stood there and watched not being deceived and never said a word to see what would happen to her and in the horror of what happened to her that he could plainly see, in any case of being with her, that she had changed and chose to eat rather than lose her or ask Elohim for help. I mean the world is broken because of Adams sin because he was not deceived. One sure way to be not deceived is to have been with her and watched it all go down and perceiving the loss of her chose her over Elohim. This is the most likely scenario because if he had not been with her he could have simply claimed to have ate a piece of fruit not knowing what it was, which is what Adam insinuates, 'that woman you gave me gave me the fruit and i did eat it' seems to indicate that he was trying to claim that he too was deceived but Elohim plainly states he was not deceived. The one sure way for Adam to have not been deceived is to have been with her. But again we could speculate but all we can do is take a plain reading of the text which says plainly that he was with her and he was not deceived.

Genesis 3:6 makes it clear that “she began taking of its fruit and eating it. AFTERWARD, she also gave some to her husband when he was with her, and he began eating it.” Would Adam have passively observed the conversation between his wife and this serpent, listening to the lies and slanderous talk and not do anything?
A German Bible scholar writes: “The presence of the man during the act of temptation, even his keeping quiet, is hardly imaginable.” And in the explaining the phrase “with her,” Jewish commentator B. Jacobs mentions that it does “not [mean] who was standing with her (during the previous act of while she ate).”
