We need to stop worrying about Ellen G Whites writings not “coming through” and read the Bible to get the truth from Christ. Most people only criticize her writings because they don’t believe they came from God. She didn’t write these things by herself. All her writings came from God

I am not an apologist for hell, however you might want to study the holiness of God and try to understand what sinning against an eternal holy God really means. Example: lying to a sibling vs lying to a parent vs lying to a judge carries different penalties even though it's the same lying.....

This was in response to one of the questions about different translations of the Bible. I am not sure how to do that as EG white has so many books, how do know which book to refer to.
my question is , what should be done in a situation where you left the church and went into the world you get into a relationship with a nonbeliever, and you have a kid with that person and live together for a few years, and you decide that you want to give you a life to Christ again and get baptized. What Should that person do in terms of that relationship?

We as Adventist have a struggle understanding Salvation and Justification by Faith. We know what it is, but like with most things we have to add attachments to make us unique. Since we don’t teach on Salvation through the Cross (I’m not saying we don’t believe it, I’m saying we don’t teach and preach it) we put the emphasis on water baptism as a sign of receiving Jesus Christ. Which are two completely separate things. We see baptism as taking membership in the Adventist along with 12 other vows, including the vow that you have received Jesus Christ as Savior. But those vows are very deep and take time to fully understand what you are vowing to. Although they are necessary to joining the faith, they are not necessary when it comes to Salvation. Salvation is a personal, immediate decision that has no attachments “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. -Ephesians 2:8 We see Salvation as a package deal: Receive Jesus Christ- Water Baptism- Keep the Sabbath. (and we look at the Sabbath as the Seal of God, the qualifying factor to get into heaven). Although the Bible says “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20 and yes, the Sabbath is part of the Law. We baptized people who show no evidence of conversion (accepting Jesus Christ as personal savior), and then disciple them on keeping the Sabbath, submitting to the church, Bible studies on what we believe, why everyone else is wrong and yes, if a person is not an Adventist they are in Babylon deceived and lost. Although all these things may be good, without first accepting Jesus Christ as savior, these things will not matter. So accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior does not require anyone to join a religious organization, making Salvation available to everyone who will believe and accept Jesus Christ as their savior. 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.” Act 16:30-33

Based on looking at the verse in different verses, I conclude that he was not naked. It's just that he got caught up in celebration and as not wearing kingly attire and acting dignified, but more like an overexcited kid wearing simple clothes. What he was likely wearing would probably still be modest by today's standards.

I think NLT version translates it like that too, with the note explaining that it was a linen ephod. Later it says, 20 When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!” Clearly, he was not naked, but rather that is her opinion. If the order of the days from Sunday to Saturday, then you would be able to trace the crucifixtion date to a saturday. You should be able to go back to the foundation to prove your point. In 2011-2012 Samoa change their weekly cycle for the second time and now Saturday is in the sunday position. Israel only had 1 calendar and the 1st feast 7th day Sabbath must be in accordance with their Calendar. Easter changes date on the Gregorian Calendar every year and so the Sabbath wiil also float on the Gregorian Calendar.

I don't know of any biblical reference equating Sunday to be the Sabbath. Sunday worship was nonexistant amongst true believers in Christ's day. I used to observe Sunday until I learned that the 7th day is the Sabbath(Exod 20:8-11). Which day is the 7th day? It is the day before the first day of the week, what we call Sunday. As Pastor mentioned, we know that God raised Christ from the dead on the first day of the week(ref. Matt 28:1).

There are anual dates in lev23 and the morrow after the Sabath is mentioned with some of these dates. The morrow after the Sabbath will not always exists with a Saturday Sabbath. Therefore there is no evidence in the heaven or earth to support a Saturday Sabbath. It is a myth that Saturday is the same 7th day Sbbath in the bible.
In psalm 150:3-6 kjv, what is written is a timbrel and not a drum. Timbrel is like a tambourine and not a drum. In today's era drums are used in concerts which make unholy noise. That's not the case during the Israelites' days wherein the use of instruments are holy unto the lord. Nowadays the world gets in the church bringing worldly music, the lyrics is biblical but the rythym, music bed and the way it is sung is without holiness. Because it is written, be ye holy, for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16. Listen to Pastor Charles Berdahl presentation on the Distraction Dilemma which is about worldly music and its effect. After listening about his 10 part series you will lose your taste for worldly rubbish music. That's a testimony for God convicted me and so I hate to listen to scrap, nasty, barbaric, sensual, and rock music. It does not please God. It excites the lower passions and leads you only to wrong doing, wrong thinking and wrong behavior because it affects the mind. Protect your brain, the prefrontal cortex because the devil will get you to think error and not right doing.

This preacher is wrong. There is no commandment in the Bible against the use of drums in the worship of God. The problem will never be the musical instrument, but who is playing it. Is the instrumentalist being used by the Holy Spirit or by the devil? In the Bible, the Holy Spirit manifested Himself in the school of the prophets when music was played. Drums were also used in these schools. The piano was used in cabarets. Many churches at the time of Luther and Calvin did not allow the organ in services. It took a few years for the piano and organ to become church instruments. Ellen White never condemned the drums. What she describes and condemns is the spurious worship that may and may not have drums present. The Pentecostal movement does not exist because of the drum. The fact that some Adventist churches in the USA are in crisis does not mean that all Adventist churches around the world are in crisis. Many Adventist churches produce excellent music using the drum.
I disagree 100% with the idea that ministries need to be in conjunction with the general conference!!! There are a lot of times that the church steps in and disallows ministries because they have a wishy-washy commitment towards certain things that are absolutely Adventist Canon! Also, it should be listened to that we are not all supposed to be doing the same job within the church so making everybody part of this "go out and preach the gospel" is not correct! We should be led by the spirit of what our job is, not the conference... Finally, Ellen White cannot be the last prophet on this Earth. There were Prophets in every generation... Where are ours?

We need to stop worrying about Ellen G Whites writings not “coming through” and read the Bible to get the truth from Christ. Most people only criticize her writings because they don’t believe they came from God. She didn’t write these things by herself. All her writings came from God

We as Adventist have a struggle understanding Salvation and Justification by Faith. We know what it is, but like with most things we have to add attachments to make us unique. Since we don’t teach on Salvation through the Cross (I’m not saying we don’t believe it, I’m saying we don’t teach and preach it) we put the emphasis on water baptism as a sign of receiving Jesus Christ. Which are two completely separate things. We see baptism as taking membership in the Adventist along with 12 other vows, including the vow that you have received Jesus Christ as Savior. But those vows are very deep and take time to fully understand what you are vowing to. Although they are necessary to joining the faith, they are not necessary when it comes to Salvation. Salvation is a personal, immediate decision that has no attachments “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
-Ephesians 2:8
We see Salvation as a package deal: Receive Jesus Christ- Water Baptism- Keep the Sabbath. (and we look at the Sabbath as the Seal of God, the qualifying factor to get into heaven). Although the Bible says “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20 and yes, the Sabbath is part of the Law.
We baptized people who show no evidence of conversion (accepting Jesus Christ as personal savior), and then disciple them on keeping the Sabbath, submitting to the church, Bible studies on what we believe, why everyone else is wrong and yes, if a person is not an Adventist they are in Babylon deceived and lost. Although all these things may be good, without first accepting Jesus Christ as savior, these things will not matter. So accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior does not require anyone to join a religious organization, making Salvation available to everyone who will believe and accept Jesus Christ as their savior.

Based on looking at the verse in different verses, I conclude that he was not naked. It's just that he got caught up in celebration and as not wearing kingly attire and acting dignified, but more like an overexcited kid wearing simple clothes. What he was likely wearing would probably still be modest by today's standards.

I don't know of any biblical reference equating Sunday to be the Sabbath. Sunday worship was nonexistant amongst true believers in Christ's day. I used to observe Sunday until I learned that the 7th day is the Sabbath(Exod 20:8-11). Which day is the 7th day? It is the day before the first day of the week, what we call Sunday. As Pastor mentioned, we know that God raised Christ from the dead on the first day of the week(ref. Matt 28:1).

There are anual dates in lev23 and the morrow after the Sabath is mentioned with some of these dates. The morrow after the Sabbath will not always exists with a Saturday Sabbath. Therefore there is no evidence in the heaven or earth to support a Saturday Sabbath. It is a myth that Saturday is the same 7th day Sbbath in the bible.

This preacher is wrong. There is no commandment in the Bible against the use of drums in the worship of God. The problem will never be the musical instrument, but who is playing it. Is the instrumentalist being used by the Holy Spirit or by the devil?
In the Bible, the Holy Spirit manifested Himself in the school of the prophets when music was played. Drums were also used in these schools.
The piano was used in cabarets. Many churches at the time of Luther and Calvin did not allow the organ in services. It took a few years for the piano and organ to become church instruments.
Ellen White never condemned the drums. What she describes and condemns is the spurious worship that may and may not have drums present. The Pentecostal movement does not exist because of the drum.
The fact that some Adventist churches in the USA are in crisis does not mean that all Adventist churches around the world are in crisis. Many Adventist churches produce excellent music using the drum.

I disagree 100% with the idea that ministries need to be in conjunction with the general conference!!! There are a lot of times that the church steps in and disallows ministries because they have a wishy-washy commitment towards certain things that are absolutely Adventist Canon! Also, it should be listened to that we are not all supposed to be doing the same job within the church so making everybody part of this "go out and preach the gospel" is not correct! We should be led by the spirit of what our job is, not the conference... Finally, Ellen White cannot be the last prophet on this Earth. There were Prophets in every generation... Where are ours?
