I picked this watch up a couple months ago and absolutely love it. The yellow really pops, and with the bezel color it’s a perfect combo for a Steelers fan like me. 😊 Such a fun watch - thanks for covering it!
Mineral crystal is fine actually it is hard and scratch resistant for normal use no problems. Really would like a 24 click GMT bezel though but for the price the watch is very good.
love this color! I have the blue one and it's been great. I agree with you, caller GMT's just work better for me. I very rarely travel to other time zones, but do have colleagues located on the west coast, so the caller GMT works great for me
4r34 is the movement. Most likey a caller because it looks like they repurposed the day function into a gmt function. They added gmt wheel on top of the hour wheel. If you've ever changed the calendar wheels you'll be like oooo. I think that's really ingenious of seiko and I don't think it gets talked about. Spencer Klein has a breakdown of a 4r34 and it's really neat.
A lume dial would be an instant buy for me but I’ll probably get the yellow for the time being. I’d also LOVE a 38mm version but I know this will never happen, I miss the skx013 I only had two and modded one so I’m hesitant to wear the non modded.
New to the channel. Got an SSK 003 last May, and totally love it - IMO, Seiko got virtually everything right with it. Like you, I've had no issues with Hardlex on this watch (or any of my Seikos). And, there's at least *one* JDM version (SSK027 YUTO HORIGOME) with a rotating bezel sporting a purple reflective half. What I think would drive everyone crazy? White dial, "Pepsi" bezel, red/orange GMT hand. Let's see dealers try and keep *that* one in stock the first year.
Remember, the first GMT Master was NEITHER traveler nor office. The 12 and 24 hour hands were locked together. Hard sell to say that the GMT Master wasn't 'true' for 30 years.

Love my SSK Yellow. Seiko really knocked this color out of the park.

A purple dial would be a dream for me. I just bought the Orient Mako 40 for their purple dial. But this Seiko in purple would be perfect.

Great watch. Not a fan of cyclops usually but here it feels appropriate. The colour makes it really legible.

I mean the orange just looks that extra level up. Insane good for the price range. looks more expensive also

The orange was the clear winner... until they released the yellow dial. As I keep saying... why is this an US exclusive only? 🤷🏻♂️

Great video Randy rob have a great collection of Seiko watches wait for the specials and buy a couple have to count them but I have over 40 of them.

I got one of these form Mimo. If you're gonna get a SSK this is the COLOR to get. I upgraded the crystal.

Why why why doesn’t this a screw down crown. Just stupid. Seiko needs to start using screw pins instead of cheap friction fit
