@@edward29345 bro I respect Jesus Christ a lot. Since my childhood I always praised him. But I was born in a Hindu Family, and also I'm not interested in converting into Christianity. If I do good actions and but don't believe Jesus is God, why would I go to Hell? Scientifically, we don't know whether God exist or not. So just blindly believing in Jesus or Allah or YHWH or Krishna is not Logical. I'm a seeker not believer, I don't believe God exist neither I believe God doesn't exist. The part you mentioned was also used in another song "Sons of Mars". While it has the same rhythm, it has different meaning. I think it probably describes that Justinian wants to bring back stuff as they used to be. The part before that is called "Hymn of the Legion" it's another song and I see it as Justinian remembering how the Roman Empire was before, wanting, again, to bring back its former glory.

Also ottoman empire didnt violated hagia sophia (i mean violation crusaders converted it to whorehouse). They just carved the mozaics (at leas what remained) and use it as a mosque. This is why today we can see those mosaics.
Also a fun fact:Parthenon in Athens was also restored an used as an mosque until 1700's.Venetians bombarded Parthenon because ottomans used its as ammuniton storage and shelter for non-muslim people.Well 2 month ago same thing happened in same front and ottoman command probably didnt learned their lesson.
So crusaders or not just crusaders western europe just doesnt cared about eastern romans nor their cultural legacy. They just plunder and stealed it.This why hippodrome's middle (sultan ahmed street) statues most of them was stealed by those crusaders by treason.

Considering how long intertwined the Greek and Roman worlds were long before Justinian, as well as the rising prevalence of Greek in the Late Roman Empire thanks to Christianity, I think it absolutely makes sense for Justinian to speak at least a little bit of Greek.
His Uncle, Justin, gave Justinian a noble’s education. Why shouldn’t Justinian be able to speak Greek?
Also, the comparison between Justinian speakig Greek to a Portuguese song about Chinggis Khaan doesn’t work because Greek was already long recognized as a Civilized Language of the Romans since the time of Augustus while Portuguese and Mongolian have zero connections.

@@mojewjewjew4420 I’m not speculating, I’m literally saying how it is. Greek has been the lingua francia of the Eastern Empire ever since there was an Eastern Empire. As a Roman ruling from Constantinopoli, it would be impossible to claim he only spoke Latin.
I’m also not saying Christianity=Greek. I’m saying the spread of Christianity *helped* spread Greek, not that it *is* what spread Greek. If there was anything to have caused the spread Greek at first, it would’ve been Macedon and the various dynastys after it.
Yes, he spoke Latin. Probably Late Latin/Proto Eastern-Romance. But to claim he wouldn’t have spoken Greek is crazy. His wife spoke Greek, a quarter of the Corpus Iuris Civils, The Novellae, is in Greek. Why wouldn’t he have spoken Greek.
What, when he tried to appease the Nika Rioters, did he try to talk them down with Latin in the Hippodrome of Constantinople?
What about to his generals and officials? John the Cappadocian for instance. Are you saying he needed a translator to help carry out his edicts?
Again, I’m not denying that he wasn’t Greek or did he speak Greek *at first*. But as an Emperor of many Greek speakers, and to an Empire with such an intertwined Cultural History, to say it would be as wierd for a song like ‘a Shadow Over Me’ to be in Greek about the Late Roman Empire as it would be for a Portuguese to sing about Chinggis Khaan is simply wrong.
The Music came from Farya Faraji. Go ahead and ask him why he included the Greek Language in his Justinian Symphony *alongside* Latin.

@@swirlyskyshock1155Based. Also, the only thing I have to add on to this is that Iustinianus did have Latin as his native tongue; It's not impossible that he could speak the Hellenic language, as after all, his uncle Iustin did give him a proper education. So no, the most based Eastern Roman Emperor did not only speak Latin strictly. The Corpus Iuris Civilis was indeed about 25% Greek. As such, Justinian probably spoke Greek every once in a while. It's not an insane conclusion to jump to.
