Maybe this pokedex is so creepy because it's actually inhabited by a ghost? I like to think that Rotom actually added all the unnecessary creepy parts upon entering.
I was going to mention this! Not only is Rotom a ghost who would write some grim Pokedex entries, but it is also a Pokemon itself. Maybe the parts mentioned in the Rotomdex are actual things that happen in the Pokemon world?
There's an NPC in Sun that explains that the corsola bits are not from dead/eaten ones, just that Toxapex snaps off the branches to eat. The NPC goes on to explain that the corsola can regrow these. I think it also says that it hurts, so that's still pretty messed up.
Might wanna check out driftloon it still carries away kids to the after life but this time...it dislikes heavy children. Then there's Frosslass who's my personal favourite.... it turns its victims into christmas decorations :)

THEORY: all the other pokedexes are correct in saying information about Pokemon but aren't specific or realistic. The reason these entries are so dark is because they are from an actual Pokemon , Rotom as a Pokemon it will know first hand from experience how other Pokemon act and as a Pokemon it will be able to tell a Phyduck is crying if a human can't and will see other Pokemon as predators aka Gengar, its saying there is no escape as it sees Gengar as a Pokemon predators whilst humans may not know this. The Alola pokedex is from a Pokemon's perspective, Rotom's perspective.
I like to think that humans knew about all of the creepy stuff, but they never put this info in the pokedexes that they give you in the games because your playing as a kid.

Also, you get all the Mega Stones for 64 BP each in the Battle Tree, with the exception of Alakazamite, which Sina and Desio will give you after battling Desio on your way to the Battle Tree once you beat the Elite 4. Even then, you can still purchase Alakazamite in the Battle Tree.

You missed out on Crabominable. It's a funny one. It aimed for the top but got lost and ended up on a snowy mountain. Being forced to endure the cold, this Pokémon evolved and grew fur.

KingBergerMan This game made me love the designs for Komala and Crabrawler. A Yeti Crab being a Pokémon is amazing an it being an Ice and Fighting type just adds onto it. While it was a little disappointing that Komala doesn't get an evolution, I already loved its design so it doesn't really irk me there.
I find it interesting how Toxapex eats Corsolas and leave a trail of Corsola bits in its wake but the only place you can get Toxapex's pre-evolution (I don't know how to spell it) is by Corsolas calling it for help
It makes sense because crown-of-thorns sea stars eat coral and are destructive to coral reefs. The irony is that Mareanie/Toxapex and Corsola are predator-and-prey but they can breed together.
That scholar who saw the Mimikyu's "true" form died from shock, maybe because Mimikyu showed him the form he uses against untrustworthy people and his truest form is showed to its trusted trainer who deeply cared for him and used him in battles a lot and nothing happens to that trainer.

I love this channel SO much. I've been watching him since 2014. I loved Pokémon when I was in 2nd grade, so this channel was perfect. My friend needed a lot of trade evolutions (like, all of them) so we shared quite a bit of dex entries. The gengar one in Sun was so bad that when we were hanging out with other friends who were doing trades, we told them to read that one outloud because of how depressing it was. And you nailed why it is so shocking. The Dex, a voice for science and absolute truths, tells you to give up.

I've found 2 weird/creepy enntries:
- Slowpoke: "Its long tail often breaks off. It doesn't really feel any pain, though, and the tail grows back, so Slowpoke isn't particularly bothered."
But in Gold/Silver, team Rocket cuts off Slowpoke tails for food. And they recognize this in Sun and Moon as well... I don't get it... Does that make me a bad person?

I think Tsareena is the worst of them, some Pokédex entries here are creepy due to the Pokémon nature or something beyond its control, but it is willing to kick Pokémon while they're down.
Well, she IS the Queen of the Fruits, given that her line is based off of the mangosteen. A very haughty, boisterous queen.
Tsareena also has a heart of gold, since she is very protective of Bounsweet and does not tolerate evil.

KingBergerMan This game made me love the designs for Komala and Crabrawler. A Yeti Crab being a Pokémon is amazing an it being an Ice and Fighting type just adds onto it. While it was a little disappointing that Komala doesn't get an evolution, I already loved its design so it doesn't really irk me there.
I find it interesting how Toxapex eats Corsolas and leave a trail of Corsola bits in its wake but the only place you can get Toxapex's pre-evolution (I don't know how to spell it) is by Corsolas calling it for help

It makes sense because crown-of-thorns sea stars eat coral and are destructive to coral reefs. The irony is that Mareanie/Toxapex and Corsola are predator-and-prey but they can breed together.

My friend needed a lot of trade evolutions (like, all of them) so we shared quite a bit of dex entries. The gengar one in Sun was so bad that when we were hanging out with other friends who were doing trades, we told them to read that one outloud because of how depressing it was. And you nailed why it is so shocking. The Dex, a voice for science and absolute truths, tells you to give up.
