Hello everyone, I hope that you and your family and friends are doing well. Even with this situation, I hope that you are staying healthy and safe. Here in Quebec we are asked to stay at home and almost everything is closed. I am using that time to create new compositions and arrangements during my voluntary isolation. During this time, we should stay strong and help each other.
I felt like this song was fitting for this situation, “Song of Healing” from Zelda Majora’s Mask, recorded and filmed during my last concert at RubikCon.
I wish you all the best from my apartment in Montreal and please stay at home, take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Ici au Québec on nous demande de rester à la maison et plusieurs commerces sont fermés. This is the perfect song right now. Majora's Mask in my opinion is the darkest Zelda game and right now is the darkest times in most people's lives. At the end of MM, when it says "Dawn of a New Day", when you stop the threat of the Moon crashing down. I hope one day we have a "Dawn of a New Day" when the Corona Virus is no longer a threat. I will comeback to this song when we do.

This song brings me to tears because it reminds me of my peaceful childhood and good times with my mother, she suddenly passed away last year and I remember her telling me how beautiful the song was while I was playing the game, I just wish I had the chance to enjoy with her a few more years. I miss her so much.

majora's mask is one of those games that mixed creepy and comfy perfectly. everything that happens is so sad and dark, but theres always that sense of hope beneath it, and i think the song of healing represents that perfectly. it's simple and quiet, making it feel a little bit unnerving, but at the same time it's extremely comforting

Dans le jeu, la chanson est pour healer l'esprit des gens qui sont tourmentés ou morts... c'est un peu pour ça que c'est joyeux et triste à la fois. Koji savait ce qu'il faisait quand il a composé ça!
Par contre, si je veux rire avec cette chanson, j'ai juste à me remémorer la scène dans le jeu. Le vendeur de masques joue la chanson sur un super gros piano avec un millions de notes!! Un super gros piano avec 3 étages de touches et probablement 15 pédales pour... montrer une petite mélodie de 3 notes!! (dans le jeu; voir extrait)

Je suis un immense fan de Zelda ( un de mes tous premiers jeux était Wind Waker et est et sera à jamais mon jeu préféré et j’ai joué et terminé tous les jeux de la série ) et j’ai justement une chaîne de gaming où j’ai fait plusieurs zelda déjà . Cette musique m’a tellement bluffé que je l’écoute tous les jours sur Spotify de nombreuses minutes, voire heures et notamment le matin. Majora’s Mask est un des Zelda vis a vis duquel j’ai le moins accroché mais je reconnais sans souci que c’est un des meilleurs épisodes de la série et celui qui a de loin les meilleurs musiques. Celle ci est actuellement ma préférée toutes musiques confondues et pas seulement de jeux vidéos. Cette musique est aussi magnifique que magique et son côté mélancolique l’a rend d’autant plus touchante. Elle me fait régulièrement pleurer en raison de cela. J’ai récemment perdu mon chien et c’est une musique que j’ai beaucoup écoutée notamment à ce moment là.
Je tenais à vous féliciter immensément, ainsi que vous remercier infiniment pour cette représentation magistrale et merveilleuse de cette musique 🎵 absolument fantastique.
Je me suis abonné à votre chaîne dès que je suis tombé sur cette merveille.
Je vous souhaite une excellente continuation.
Et ça fait plaisir de voir la francophonie représentée ( je m’appelle Killian et je suis Parisien 🇫🇷).

The most important person to me died about 9 years ago and afterwards draining 2/3ds of a fresh bottle of whiskey I figured that maybe if I listened to this song it would make me feel better, being called a Song of Healing and all that. But what amazed me was that it made feel worse than I already did. I expected no effect at all, not a bad one. Now everytime I hear this song I'm filled with melancholy and I remember that time. I think you did an amazing job with this, and while I don't really know what it's like to play the piano (although I tried several times for my father's sake) I believe you're very good at it. So thank you, miss Manning, for playing this song that somehow doesn't seem to be as popular as other zelda songs although Flying Spagetthi Monster only knows why.

Damn. While composing, working, remaking Mozart I forgot why Koji Kondo was my greatest role model in my teen years. This is just a heavy modified version of Sakura, a japanese folk song. But it was so heavily modified that it actually sounds iconic and original.
And this melody still gives me chills. Thank you for this version. The world needs to be healed these days...

I have an arragemnet I made by ear, mine sounds very similar except I also drop the left hand notes down an octave with the pedal with the second playthrough to sound like bells ringing, it reminds me of clock town and the ominous nature of the game. I loved this, excellent job
