Blows Disney outta the water.. I can imagine spending 500 a night at a deluxe in WDW.. Much rather go Universal.. Cabana Bay is my go to.. but this is an amazing value for such a nicely themed resort
It was once ... not anymore.. Now thier specialty is “Less For More”... and as long as they don’t any Brushback from it customers..,it will never change.. I can stay at a Fantastically Themed Resort’s (Cabana Bay).. for 4 nights at a fraction of what WDW charges.Early entry..wonderful attractions and walking distance to everything.. WDW lost me .. the Greed is almost embarrassing at this point
I hope to book this resort for our Disney trip in October for at least one night. I love that they have inside hallways if that makes sense. The pool is huge! Nice "value" resort! I like it better than the other Universal hotels.
I have watched several disney videos from yall but now seeing that you do universal too you get my sub. Great stuff hope yalls channel continues to grow
Great video! Thanks for showing us this new hotel! I noticed that the man quoted $73 a night with a 7 night stay off season. So looks like there's 2 criteria to get that rate. What a great hotel though! I will stay there some day, but I'll keep checking to see when it's less than $100 a night :)
Paused this mid vid to comment and say this is the best walkthrough of Surfside i've seen yet. Thank you for doing it! Does the Sand Bar serve food? Cabana bay's pool side serves a few food items.
They should..... but they are the Kardashians of theme parks and can care less.... the make tons of money! But I agree with you Disney are pathetic with their prices🤷🏽♀️
My husband and I went for Anniversary on Oct 7 to surfside and got a suite and we love it. Definitely will do again but will try there sister resort Dockside next year
OMG, you guys have to collab with The Tim Tracker!!! You both have the same video style and I think you would make great friends. I would love to see two of my favorite RUclipsrs together!!!!
We love Tim and Jenn, so that’s a great compliment! Hopefully we are doing things a little different. Watch our first trip to Galaxys Edge video, he is in it a few times. We rode Smuggers Run with him, and he shows up later in the day too.
I just found this channel and they remind me of how the Tracker videos used to be. I don’t watch them anymore, not the same as they used to be. So glad I found these guys!
Wow! I’ve always thought of Cabana Bay (in comparison to Disney standards) as a moderate resort at a value price. I’ve stayed at Cabana Bay for cheaper than a night at Disney’s All Star resorts and I feel like it’s an upgrade from Pop Century. Super exciting there will be another nice hotel at Universal for even less!
So after watching your video I looked into staying....looked at July,September,October and even February 2020- no rooms less than like $145 a night even for a 7 night stay on the most standard room. I have no idea where universal is getting those prices.
@@kchristlieb I don't understand it either. I think it has to do with some spring breaks??? Disney is not Universal (obviously) but if you look at DVC charts it tells you what season various dates are in. At Disney, February is one the peak months, but September is not.
What a beautiful resort! Honestly even at $115 or so on season it's a beautiful hotel with lots of theming and nice amenities. Thanks for showing us around!
The tour guide at the bar said the Endless Summer rum was made by a company out of Miami. But at 4:00 you can clearly see on the label of the bottle “Crafted in Barbados”.
Ordinary Adventures I would just like to point out how awesome you are at Ordinary Adventures for taking time out of your day to reply and comment on people’s posts. 1 ordinary adventure star. Cause that’s a 10/10 for you both :) (5 fro:me and 5 from my hubby x
Sorry, I'm SO late to the party. This hotel looks brilliant and I just tried searching for it with Google. It took me to the "Aventura" hotel. Did this end up being renamed? And then as I looked at that site, it said something about Universal Studio's *3* parks! The last time I was there, admittingly years ago... there were *2*! What is going on??? ;)
Did they mention if there was any resort fees? My fiancée and I are heading there for our honeymoon and can’t find out anything about if there’s resort fees.
Exactly. I tried to find any day less that $130 and there was none. They might just have to have 1 day per year at $73 to claim that is their starting price. It's deceiving.
"Value resort" yet all the rates right now start at 160. They do the same at volcano bay by saying the cabanas are available to rent for 150 yet you can't get them right now for less than 500.
I love your videos. This was also good, but it's kind of embarrassing how obvious it is that you're obliged to only say positive things. The hotel management should've told all of you doing the promotion tour to be totally honest speaking from your hearts. Then your credibility would've never been questioned. You're nice people and I can tell that you felt a bit uncomfortable with sales talk. Love you for that!
I can tell you that our opinions in this video were 100% honest. We had no obligation to be positive. I write about movies for a living and have down so for 15 years and get invited by studios to lots of things that I have given criticism and bad reviews to. It just so happens we thought for $73 a night this was an amazing hotel option. We live in California where the cheapest Disneyland hotel is $300. We would love to have an option as clean and modern as this and be under $100. Cabana bay is our favorite universal hotel and it’s not even one of their higher end resorts. Anyways, I appreciate all the kind words you said about us and our channel but please know we would not compromise ourselves like that. Everything we said here was from the heart. Probably the only thing I regret is not making a comment about how they skimped on a door for the closet but that came to me after the fact.
@@OrdinaryAdventures - can't argue with you that the price during value season is amazing. The fact that everthing is brand new also contributes to a positive experience for sure. I'm from Sweden and maybe thats why I think you almost seems to be "to" positive. We swedes should've commented on something negative like "The colour scheme is nice and bright, but feels a bit to sterile and a bit to minimalistic". Or "The celing in the lobby is just painted corrugated sheet iron. I think the credibility gets higher if you mentions something that isn't just amazing and overwhelming. Cheers, keep up the good job.
Wow! Reasonable and fun and ya we love all things Summer.
👍
Another great video (embracing your inner Tim and Jenn Tracker!) Thanks so much for putting the pricing in the title, great idea!
These two are WAY BETTER Then the Tracker peeps, these guys are sincere, honest and have no corporate butt kissing to do like the mentioned.....!!
The way she does the hang loose is so funny

I reviewed prices online the family suite is 189 a might not including taxes etc. Definitely not a value hotel.
The $73 price was in value season for the standard room, not the family suite.
PleunK Disney is better
my 1st time watching you guys ! was great thanks , were over end of Aug to stay and must admit looks amazing for budget ! cheers guys
Thanks for watching Darren!
It's kind of like the Ikea of resort hotels. Simple, clean, nice design, doesn't break the bank.
That’s a great way of saying it!
I’m staying here on the opening day through the 30th I’m excited to see what’s in store!

In a few years that will be close to Epic Universe.
Can’t wait

Tayfamtravels there’s a rate of $80 per person on a commercial
Same here
The prices quoted are for value (off-peak) season. July/September/October/February are peak season.

We haven’t actually stayed there yet. I believe they offer shuttle buses to the parks and city walk

I’m staying here in Sept when I go to HHN. It looks nice

I think you guys are planning my Florida trip later this year after Star Wars opens at Disney World. 😁
Ha happy to help
You have a new intro! Looks great!
Thanks! We are still trying to figure out a song
love that intro!
Thanks!
Great video thanks
Thanks for watching!
🤙that is this is a hang loose not the sign you do 😊
Only thing is, i could never find dates that were at that rate
What is value season . What cost for Summer season.
Love the new intro!
Thanks!
Do you know how easy it is to get to the restaurants and stuff on I-drive? We are staying at the dockside next year can't wait!!
Great thanks 😁 all I could find was that it was on universal boulevard so I wasn't sure how easy it would be to get around
this is GREAT news! Thanks!
Thanks for watching
Fist intro nice
I think it looks really nice. And considering this is meant to be the budget option, it doesn’t look very budget
Yeah exactly. I was really impressed.
Do they have a bar? Going July 25th-31st.
They definitely have a pool side bar. I’m not sure if there is a bar inside.
What is the value season dates?
larry hines January I think
@@tiffprendergast I tried January 27-28 2020 and it was 104 cheapest rate for one night
That pool low key where the wave pool use to be 😩😩😩😩
Did they say anything about transportation to the parks?
They have shuttle buses
Yes we just booked for July 8th and the do have shuttles to the parks. They run every 10 minutes.

Did they mention if there was any resort fees? My fiancée and I are heading there for our honeymoon and can’t find out anything about if there’s resort fees.
I wasn’t told anything about resort fees but I haven’t seen much of that in my Orlando trips in general. I feel like that’s more of a Vegas thing.
We got charged at our hotel in Kissimmee last year just wanted to know if these did as well so we can budget for them.
I’d say call the hotel line and ask. I’m curious about the answer.
Will let you know.
Do the standard rooms have a mini fridge or microwave???
I think it’s just the suites.
❤️
Thanks SF
looking online now where does it say 75 a night
That’s the price per night for a 7 day stay during non peak season.
firegirl26 on tv 📺
$73, where?? The cheapest I saw for 1 day was 92 for August and then it was gone and now the end of Aug is at 123ish+🤷♀️☹

The $73 price is when you stay at least 7 days as stated in the video.
@@glrjerry Well I booked for 7 , but later in the video they said something about "VALUE SEASON" so whateva!
We got this price they’re talking about in September. This year we will be there
Is there easy pedestrian access to International Drive?
This I’m not sure about, I’d say call the hotel and ask. Sorry
Hearing "In the value season" I think is key to people not being disappointed. There's probably barely any $73 a night.
I think you’d be surprised how many weeks a year are in “value season”. Search “universal Orlando value season 2019” to see the calendar
