- If you're getting no sound from your soundbar and it's connected via HDMI Arc, eArc or Optical then go through these troubleshooting steps to fix the audio issue. This will work for most TV's (Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic, TCL, Vizio, Hisense etc) and Soundbars (Sonos, Bose, Sennheiser etc) as it's normally an issue with the HDMI Connection which is universal between brands. Optical connection can also give buzzing sound and theres a simple trick to fix this. Let me know in the comments if this video has helped. Thanks for watching.

Still don't work
The audio out did it! Thanks!
@@caypalmer7227 No Worries. Happy to help :)
It worked, thanks a lot. Your advice was the only one it worked. I have someting to add. My Samsung Tv's smart hub can recognize the devices that plugged in. My problems begin with that I believe. Now I cancelled that when my tv tried to recognize my devices again after this reset procedure.
Merci !! Ce qui me manquait c’était l’ordre ! J’ai suivi à la lettre vos conseils et ça a fonctionné !! Merci beaucoup !!
I’m an audio expert and had the HDMI in going to the HDMI in 🤦♂️😂 thank you!
😂😂 It happens to the best of us 😂😂
Hello. I am getting the sound when I connect TV's earc hdmi to hdmi in the soundbar. But when I try to connect the PS5 directly to the hdmi in of the soundbar i do get a video on the tv screen but no audio from the bar. Pls help
This was helpful😅
Hi, we have tried everything!!!!!! all of my other soundbars have worked with my DVD player but not this new one. I just purchased a new plug the only open spot left in both is the USB port. Hopeful this will work otherwise I do not know what else to do!
And didn’t work. Not helpful
It was as simple as unplugging both of them for 10secs! I’ve been suffering for 2 years having to load the Bluetooth option on settings everytime I turned the tv on, finally got fed up and bought a new soundbar and the same thing was happening and followed your video and success! Thanks!
This worked for me. I had everything connected right, settings correct yet had no sound. In the end switched both off for 10 seconds and then turned back on and works perfectly fine. Phew! 😓
Bro what the heck i was getting so frustrated and this worked thank you!
Thanks mate fixed for me. 👍🏼 unplugged everything twice and it worked on the second try
Cheers
Thank you so much. I lost over an hour trying cure this on my own. You got me sorted at the 1 minute mark. Cheers!
My Samsung soundbar unexpectedly stopped working this morning. For years I have been using a y adapter that despite being chewed by my rabbit, still worked (wrapped with electrical tape). I knew at some point I had to replace it and I was convinced today was the day. I went out to buy a new audio adapter, to my surprise, still no sound. 8 hours later, I decided to enroll in
RUclips University, hoping someone taught a course on this subject. This was the first video I clicked on, and all it took was simply unplugging the cords for 10 seconds. My sounds is back on. Thank you immensely for making this video.
My dad was getting pissed because the soundbar wasent working.
He tried 3 HDMI cables, he checked that everything was plugged correctly, but nothing was working.
What was wrong?
He had it plugged into HDMI In.
“It was plugged in there because the sound would go IN to the soundbar.” His exact words.
Hi Josh, Thanks for excellent video. I have a friend who has Bose Soundbar 300 and it doesnt start at all suddenly one morning. Day before it worked well but next day it would not. We tried buying a new power cable but still it wont show any display lights to start off. Could you please advise us what would have probably gone wrong? Its 7 years old
My lights too turn off after I start em Do U know how to fix it
Not one video that goes step by step. Ex. I press woofer tells me 0 and push up and down button and nothing. Cant raise the volume. Want to raise vol press up down, mutes but no way to raise or lower volume with remote or adjust woofer. Instructions are useless.
I just got a new soundbar from creative and pluged it into my samsung tv. My problem is, that my tv recognize the soundbar and see it into the settings but i just have no sound… i dont know what to do…. Thx for the video anyway! :)
When I watch movies with dts hd master audio 5.1 theres no sound in rear speakers and nearly all at the soundbar every thing sound bad when playing dts hd content..what to do?
I play discs on a sony xp700
And soundsystem is samsung hw-q995b
I just got a new TV and was struggling to get the sound bar to work after setting everything up. You mentioned the Blu ray player so I unplugged that HDMI plug from the TV and then unplugged the TV and sound bar from the wall. Plugged everything in but the blu-ray player and it works again.
The main thing I have an issue with while using my VIzio M512a-H6 is that sometimes the surrounds and/or the sub don't work with 2.1/ 5.1/ Atmos audio. I've read a lot of people saying its a bug and/or its got to do with the type of Dolby audio that's encoded but doing things like changing the EQ setting or turning the sound bar on and off has fixed it before so.. idk.
My soundbar and tv connected and all. But NO SOUND came out!!!
For an hour exploring and testing this and that settings. Unplugging and plugging back. Nothing works.
Until my last resort, turning off both tv and the soundbar for 10secs. And turning both back on.
Thanks man!!! Your video is a legit help.
Note : If everything seems in place and connected but no sound came out. Turn both devices off for 10 sec guys.
Thank you very much! My problem was no sound from my Samsung Q995B soundbar despite being connected to it both via cable from the tv and BT from the phone. I could see changes I made to sound level on screen, but no actual sound. After disconnecting and reconnecting power and hdmi cables the problem was resolved. Great video.
Same thing happen to me and same solution 😅
A little advice i figured out! If using a digital optical cable and you have sound coming out from sound bar when using tv but no audio for blueray/dvd or any other devices hooked up to tv make sure you change the audio source on those devices to PCM
Hahahah, I was driving myself bananas and this solved my prob immediately 🤦🏽. Thanks Josh!
I really dont know why but the "plug out, wait, plug in" acutally worked. After 2 hours of troubleshooting... thank you so much bro ❤
Unplugged the sound bar for a minute, changed out multiple cables, went through all the settings & whatever else I could think of. Found this video and it was the TV that needed to be unplugged for a minute, I didn’t think to do that for some reason. Thank you!
It’s incredible. Been meddling for 30 minutes until this video, I unplugged the tv and speakers and restarted them, got the message that speakers now active.
My god.. and I’m a software engineer lol
Thanks a lot!!, I just needed to unplug the tv 😅
How can you fix the first couple of seconds of audio missing from videos or channels I change to? Happened watching this video as well.
My tv is 10 year old, soundbar did not fit or perhaps i did something wrong? Tv has HDMI coax aux
Thank you! I've been working on configuring my TLC Alto 6+ Soundbar & subwoofer to my TLC ROKU 4300 series 50" TV for over 3 hours. First of all, it did not come with a Digital Optical cable which is a much easier setup. I followed your advice and completely disconnected everything and turned all devices off. I simple powered up the TV first and then I powered up the Soundbar and then connected the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC ports on both. Once it confirmed that my HDMI ARC Port was active I knew it was connected.
You are a genius: I had no sound til I followed your second step of unplugging all other HDMI inputs and restarting both devices. Thank you!
I give up, spent hours,
Still the soundbar won't play any sound. And it worked before😭
First person to tell that the HDMI goes into the out port,I.ve sent 3 hours on U tube and Roku chat to no avail , You had me up and running in 2 minutes Thank you very much
Thank you so much my friend! I tried everything in the instruction manual and went to the manufacturers website for tutorial and got nowhere. It worked BUT, the issue I am having is that every time I go into my DVR to watch a new show, I lose sound again. What's that all about?
Thanks. Did the "unplug tv and soundbar". That worked! Every once in a while our Bose 700 acts up and no sound comes from it even though we haven't touched any cables, etc.
An extra step to try that fixed it for me: Enable HDMI CEC in your TV settings.
Explanation (from what I can tell, I found out about all this while troubleshooting):
HDMI ARC is different than HDMI eARC. ARC was introduced in 2009, eARC (an enhanced version of ARC, hence the 'e') was introduced in 2017. Your TV/soundbar may support ARC but not eARC. The main difference seems to just improved audio quality due to more bandwidth. However, ARC requires HDMI CEC, a standard to support electronics controlling other electronics over HDMI. eARC does not. Although it seems that some TV models will allow you to use ARC while CEC is turned off. Apparently having CEC on can cause some issues like the TV unexpectedly turning on/off or switching inputs. Your mileage may vary. Hope this helps!
I don't get sound during commercials only I have an Web OS LG TV and an LG sound bar. The same problem occurs when I just use the TV speakers. Also I have the sound bar connected via optical cable
I bought a new tv, went from Samsung tv with Samsung sound bar, and now to a Sony tv with the same Samsung sound bar. I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working correctly, but then watched this video and put both HDMI connections to the eARC - boom problem solved. Thank you!
ultimate guide - if your soundbar has no sound after connecting to the TV with bluetooth, try this:
unplug both the TV and soundbar
wait for 10s
Replug the tv first, after the tv runs normally, and you see the contents in the setting menu shows up, appearing the software runs fully, then replug the soundbar. that's how i fixed the problem. thanks for this video.
i did not unplug any other cable connections on the tv during the process
I have a question. I am trying to connect my LG SmartTV model 65UF6450 to a VIZIO soundbar. I also have a lg stlish and slim soundbar the code or modle number is NB3530A. PLEASE HELP ME I TRIED EVERYTHING I WATCHED TUTORIALS BUT STILL NOT WORKING PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE.
Wow I've tried everything and right when I was about to buy a new one I figured I watch some RUclips videos. All it took was unplug both and plug tv first and let it boot up. Thanks so much!
Thanks 🙏 I got my Sony Soundbar working I did what you did unplug all the cords from the tv and the tv itself too and I waited for 10 seconds and plug 🔌 everything back in and it worked and thank you 🙏 for helping me out with this bro 😎 really do appreciate it!
Is there a reason why you have to do these troubleshooting steps? The soundbar I have works perfectly for a few days then I have to do the unplug method to get it working again, what causes it to randomly stop working?
I got the same issue, very annoying.
I have an lg c2 2022 model Evo. I have the original sinks sound at with no hdmi plug. I used the optical but can’t get it to work with the Sonos.
Imagine that a sound device thats comes mute 😂 second x going through this first the celly now the telly 😂if im to actually pull that TV out to look and see what HDMI it to be paired with im just moving out 🤣😭😆😂
Thank you so much Josh for another great video and advice regarding how to fix a sound bar so I bought a new LG TV and I connected my existing LG sound bar to it and I changed it to optical on the setting onto the TV. but still no sound I have tried everything. Am I doing something wrong I would appreciate your help and advice. Thank you very much.🙂👍🙏

I have a problem, I bought a Samsung QE55QN85CAUXRU TV and I bought a soundbar from Sony G700. on the soundbar sometimes there is sound from the TV, sometimes there is no If everything works on the TV is HDMI-Earc connection, but when there is no sound on the TV screen show the connection is just HDMI and there is no way to select HDMI and Earc, as at this time display show indikation TV. and every time for the soundbar to work normally and correctly, I have to unplug it from the outlet and then plug it back in, I don’t know what to do, if you can give some advice, I’ll be gratefu. and I also do not have the Dolby atoms function active on my TV((((:
Our sharp tv keeps disconnecting itself from the soundbar, and defaulting to the inbuilt speakers. It is connected to the soundbar via an optical cable, and sounds great when it's working, but it keeps doing the above every couple of days?
SAMSUNG
To activate Q-Symphony (best audio that combines soundbar + TV sound) and for the soundbar to open at the same time as the TV
1. On TV
a. Advanced Settings → Sound → HDMI-eARC → Auto
b. Advanced Settings → General → External Device Manager → Enable Anynet+
2. On the soundbar
a. Source D-IN
3. On TV
a. Sources → TV (Samsung TV Plus)
This is great! My problem is with switching the eARC setting on in my Samsung TV - the volume drops significantly especially the voice. I haven’t found a good solution to this. Both tv and soundbar are Samsung and Q Symphony compatible. And I’m using HDMI 2.0 cables. Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
A friend of mine has a Problem. His TV is connected over eArc HDMI with the soundbar. His Fire TV Stick and PS5 over HDMI with the TV. The soundbar is working with the Stick and games on PS5. But he has no sound watching Blu Rays over PS5.
Can you help me with tech problem.
After installing my new TV (Sony XR75X90L) the sound doesn’t work thru my existing surround sound.
The sound works for the cable channels, but the no sounds thru streaming service thru surround sound (the sound work thru TV speakers)
My receivers is a Yamaha RX-V863 from 2009.
I am trying to set up a Wohome sound bar to my LG OLED tv. When I select connect device and do a sound test it works perfectly. Soon I’m asked to select the sound bar manufacturer, and my Wohome is not found and it does not allow me to finalize connection. I’ve used HDMI and digital audio cables and I get rapid clicks but no sound. I’ll try these steps to see if any difference is made.
Bought a Sony S40R surround sound system, not very tech savvy so had trouble setting this up, what is probably very easy to set up for most people is like splitting the f@#$!n' atom to me! You're vid helped so thank you so much.
I'd done the unplugging/powering down tricks PLENTY,
The recommendation to unplug all other HDMI cables was a new solution to me.. and it WORKED!
Thanks for sharing the tricks in your bag!
thanks for the help, I have an unusual issue. I got a new Samsung Q60C TV plus Samsung Q60. It offers Q Symphony which is both TV speakers and Soundbar together. Issue: plug tv and soundbar together with HDMI eARC cable/jacket, it works (2 warranty service calls later). However just realize the original issue and current issue is if the google Chromecast is plug in then we lose the soundbar HDMI eARC connection/Q Symphony. Any ideas?
Got sony ht8500 ..it only plays when I have the ps5 on....Netflix TV and os5 while playing games....when turning ps5 off , soundbar doesn't work
My Samsung T42E is not getting sound from Macbook air m1 while its showing connected what to do?
thanks mate. I solved it by unplugging everything and waiting 10sec and then plug in again!
You’re amazing. It worked ! I had to power off both the tv and sound bar for 10 sec and plug everything back in, thank you so much , that issue was driving me nuts
Awesome!! Glad I could help 😄
Galera, desligue tudo ( incluindo a TV). Dê 15 segundos e ligue de novo. Comigo deu certo.
Mine’s still not working.. my soundbar works still fine I just tested it on my phone with the BT.
It’s in arc both ways but when I turn up the volume on my TV there’s just a muted sign not allowing me to put a volume up or anything. No sound comes out of the soundbar. It’s a LG C1 OLES TV, and I’ve used the soundbar before on it so idk why it suddenly is messing.. I think my case is honestly a mystery, but don’t everyone say that? I’ve tried everything in the video as well, an old and a new cable still nothing. Even bought a digital optical cable and it won’t connect to the soundbar. That’s the issue, the tv is not connecting audio to the soundbar
Thank you great troubleshooting. I appreciate it. You got my LG Soundbar working.!!!
Well hope you can help me:
TV = Samsung 55AU8000
Soundbar = Hisense H312
HDMI Out from Soundbar to HDMI Arc in TV
Things worked smooth for a while, noticed after first TV firmware update that in eARC mode suddenly ; the eARC word indicator flickers and then no sound from soundbar, making it ARC only works.
Then recently, started to notice that after 1:30 or 2 hours , it starts to cutout and make some electric shredded sounds, usually have to turn it off (the soundbar) - changed two HDMI cables and still not OK
Is it a TV issue or a Soundbar issue....don't know what to do
Thanks in advance
Dude helped me fix my sound bar and it wasn’t even the same model soundbar
I have brand new TV Philips 55PUS7406 and 4y old Samsung soundbar R650.... previous TV was Samsung too and I used optical toslink cable and just ONE remote controller. Because Samsung compatibility I guess... But since I have new Philips TV I can't use just one TV remote controller for soundbar, I must use two RCs. Everything is connected as needed, I checked it many time, trying two different HDMI cables (both says "high speed" cable) but no luck. Still must use Philips controller for TV and Samsung controller for soundbar and optical cable.
Therefore I'm asking - could be that I need some special HDMI cable??? Nobody says anything about any cable specification. In manual of soundbar or TV there isn't any info about it. I know there exists HDMI ver. 1.4, 2.0, 2.1. Is that a problem? TV shows me that on HDMI 1 ARC input is connected Soundbar device, but no sound. Therefore I'm thinking - maybe my HDMI cable is inappropriate for soundbar connection?
I just got a brand new ROHRS sound bar. Everything seems to work but there is no sound. I am using brand new RCA cables from my Panasonic TC-P50G25 TV to the soundbar. I have turned the TV Speakers OFF. As far as I can tell, shtting the TV speakers off is how the TV decides to use a different spearker setting. I know of no way to get into a mode for different speaker settings on this TV. Might you know of the issue I am having?
I have a baffling problem. My Sony HT-A3000 soundbar was working like a dream until we had to change our Spectrum cable box. The only thing I did was pull the HDMI and power plug from the old Spectrum box and plugged the same HDMI into the new box. Nothing else was changed. Soundbar still works when I am using ROKU device and also works on Bluetooth. It just won't work when watching TV with cable. Any thoughts??
Been using one sound bar with an optical cable for a year. The cable randomly stopped working one day but all other sources (Bluetooth, HDMI) worked fine. I watched your video and turned on PCM mode and it worked again! Thanks a lot!
My sound bar works fine but sometimes when I change from fire Tv back to normal tv sometimes there know sound.?? Any idea why.
Hi, i had my soundbar work using my samsung tv remote, but since we used it we were never have the chance to use its remote, in which we can control the subwoofer, and the soundbar when use it.manually there was no led.lights showing on the soundbar, i can only turn the power on and off and turning up and down the volume,, pls. Help
I have tried everything and nothing works, the sound bar itself works on Bluetooth but not hdmi, I have tried changing cables I have tried unplugging. The weirdest part, it was working on hdmi until I unplugged. So fed up. :/ I have lg 75ur81006lj and Samsung b650 sound bar
I bought the samsung soundbar q990c last october and was on update 1002. I updated to 1004 via usb as the website said. That went fine but now at times when I turn on my Sony a80j tv the bar will turn on but now the tv just wants to use its speakers and the only thing that works is to turn off the bar unplug the bar plug back in and wait a few seconds and turn the bar back on and then the tv with say using audio system. Never had this issue with the 1002 update. My cables are fine. I have 2 4k players directly plugged into the bars hdmi 1 and 2 instead of the tv for dts-x audio which some of my 4k blu-ray movies have. Using an earc, of course, also. Using the Smartthings app, too.
I have a strange question. I have a Sony oled and Samsung soundbar system. My soundbar recently started cutting every 1 to 2 minutes while watching cable TV. For streaming services, everything works perfectly. I can not figure it out. I've swapped new cable box, new HDMI cable and hard reset. I would appreciate any info you have. Thanks
I gt issue with my samsung speaker HW-Q990C with my sony tv A90K,the speaker sound look softer and i cant hear my rear speaker and subwoofer.Pls help

Nothing I've tried, including suggestions in this video, have worked for my LG OLED65C1AUB and Bose Soundbar550. I'm five hours in to troubleshooting, reading every website and as many videos as I can find. Anyone have these two an been able to find a fix?
Thank you! This was so helpful. Sound bar is working now
Turning off the new LG TV and new LG soundbar S45TR 4.1 worked. When u turn LG TV off. Then on, there is no sound bar sound. By turning soundbar off then on sound returns. So the only way one can get sound every time u turn on TV is by unpluging the sound bar and plugging it back in again
Found another solution. Perhaps pin this may help someone!
Samsung TVs
Settings-General-External Device Manager-Anynet+ TURN THIS ON!
hello, great video. if the sound is coming from my samsung tv, from the cable box, xfinity, TO the samsung soundbar, then why plug the HDMI cable to the soundbar OUTPUT port? isnt the sounding coming in, from the tv? my soundbar goes quiet, after about 10 seconds or so. the q700a does have 2 hdmi ports, so i will try the other port. im having to handle 3 remotes, just to watch the tv. thanks.
Funcionó desconectando (no solo apagar, sino desenchufar) la TV como la Sound Bar junto a todos los HDMIS alrededor de unos 5 minutos
I have a Samsung un55c8000 TV - and a New JBL 500 Sound Bar.. I cant get the sound to work on the sound bar at all. Can you look it up and tell me what to do please.. I ordered the Adapter for the Optic Out of the TV to connect to a Optical Cable then plug into the Soundbard but I wanted to use HDMI is that possible at all... Thanks
So what worked with me (Samsung TV and a Yamaha Soundbar), select the “receiver” where the sound is coming from in the tv. Had to do this a few times selecting back and forth for optical or tv sound. But finished placing it on “receiver - hdmi.” Then making sure the expert settings are set to what the sound bar is compatible with (Dolby in my case). If no sound yet, then switching to the soundbar’s hdmi input in the tv selection (device plugged to soundbar essentially), then switched back to the TV source (Samsung TV Plus in this case) and sound started working again. Must be a Samsung glitch possibly? Probably need to update the tv. Thanks for these suggestions Archway Tech!
Thank you for your video, but I still have a problem and I hope you can help. I have an older Samsung smart TV with an intermediary plug-in connection box. I also have a fairly new Bose sound bar (HDMI-ARC) and a Fire TV Stick. For months this system has been working great, but now when I start the TV in a TV app (e.g. Netflix or RUclips) there is no sound. What I've been doing is selecting the Fire TV and then the sound appears, so then I can go back to Netflix or RUclips and the sound works on everything. I've disconnected the power on all items in the past, but this problem continues. Thoughts?
Another person chiming in just to say that, unplugging everything, waiting, and then plugging everything back in worked 🤷♂️
So go ahead and try that first I guess
my problem is my TV doubles as my computer monitor. The soundbar works when I have my tv on a channel or my bluray player. It does not work ONLY when I'm playing a video from my computer...like Netflix or RUclips whatever. Then the sound is coming through my tinny computer speaker.
It was working...then suddenly stopped. My connections are good and I've tried resetting but no-go.
Brand new samsung HW-600b with Samsung TV. Arc HDMI was working fine and then sound cut out. Tried all suggestions including TV reset and new cable. CEC recognizes the Bar but no sound when selected. I haven't tried optical, but I don't want to go back to the multiple remote 2 step.
I'm about to resort to sending the bar back. FYI this new bar replaced an older samsung bar that worked fine.
I have a Ip-08 its a portable soundbar it work for half volume but any higher volume you try to put into it it makes no sound but only a clicking sound
I’ve done everything and still nothing has worked! In my instance my Bluetooth option is ALWAYS on and I can’t switch or turn off the sound bar even tho I had everything unplugged?
I can’t find an answer to my issue, so I came here. I just purchased a LG sn4a 2.1 and after sometime, it randomly gives off this high-pitched, screaming noise that I have to power off to make stop. I thought maybe it was my HDMI cable so I switched to the optical but after about eight hours of us it did the same thing. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
My Bose soundbar quit broadcasting. Looking at the sound settings, it was getting a signal.
I followed the part of unplugging everything and the order of re-plugging the power to the TV, etc. .
Success. Thank you very much for the information.
It would work if u discussed a soundbar that only has rci cable connection no hdmi or optical connection that needs to connect to new Samsung with only hdmi ARC and optical I’m baffled got the rci to hdmi and connected to tv arc tv recognizes new connection but as for choosing what I’m trying to connect it don’t recognize soundbar I mean the JBL speaker can’t be that old got at store in box I can’t figure out why something should be this hard???
Did this per Nakamichi ninjas, reset, hard reset, new tv and cables. Nothing worked. Worked for the last 3 years…Sent it to Nakamichi and was quoted $100 which still not bad…hopefully it gets fixed…
thanks....unplugging TV and Soundbar then plugging back worked
May as well try my luck... I've got sound when using the HDMI on the soundbar from my Apple TV, but if i'm watching TV I can't get sound from the bar, only the TV. The settings on the TV are set to external speaker so theres no sound at all. I've got a Samsung soundbar and a Sony Bravia TV. Soundbar is wired arc to arc to the TV and apple tv is HDMI in on the soundbar.
I have an odd problem. I have a RIF6 sound bar connected by HDMI to my tv. I'm using Fire Stick and RUclips TV. Here's my odd problem..the audio for tv commercials and RUclips videos comes across loud and clear..however once a regular tv program comes on the sound bar goes dead and I have to switch back to the tv speakers. WTH is going on??
I have a 10 year old Vizio 5.1 sound bar and wireless woofer, and a brand new LG B2 65" OLED. I cannot get my soundbar to work with Optical Input. It does not have an HDMI port on it at all. Is it just too old to be compatible with the new TV? It worked just fine with my old TV right before I took it down and put the new one up. Also, the option to change to PCM is greyed out on my TV and won't let me change it.
I just bought a LG soundbar with brand new hdmi cable. I plugged it into my Samsung TV and it immediately worked. But when I plug it into my Roku tv, which is where I want the soundbar, no sound comes out. I’m doing it all right. I unplug the cords, as soon as I plug it back in, sound comes on for 2 seconds and then it stops and never works again. Do you think you can help me? 😢
Hey Josh I have a Sony HT-CT290 soundbar and subwoofer and the problem that I have is that I have no sound from the soundbar, when I change the input between USB,TV and BT, the USB light and the BT (Bluetooth) lights are both working and they turn on, but the TV is the only one that the light keep turned off and don't work.
The soundbar works perfectly when I connect it via Bluetooth but can't understand why I can't connect it on the TV.
I try all the steps in the video and nothing worked for me, any tips?
Connecting my Sony xbr-49x830c to a Yamaha soundbar via the HDMI ARC port on the tv did not work. The only quick fix was to use the optical cable instead.
Hi i've got a Samsung TV and a Sharp soundbar. Terrestrial channels and the Blue ray connect to the soundbar but when I try to watch an internet channel like bbciplayer the soundbar won't work and displays 'invalid id'. When I go back to ue ray or Terrestrial channels the soundbar switches itself back on and sound comes out. It's baffling and nobody in electrical stores can help
Hi
Thanks for the info
Rebooting the whole system
Turning off the tv
And the sound bar
A cup of tea
5 mins later all working well
Thanks very much 😊
And just I case your wondering it was tetley teabags 😂
I’m trying to hook up a Samsung sound bar to a Samsung tv that uses ROKU and a ROKU remote. Only sound from tv, not the sound bar. Any ideas?
This didn't work for me. I've had mine for a few years now and it's still displaying like it's working, but no sound. Sometimes says s-mute but obviously plugged in correctly because it's worked for 3 years. Tried new cables no luck. Tried resetting my TV and that actually worked until I turned my TV off and back on again.
Sound bar works on Samsung tv EXCEPT with the RUclips app… but get this, it works with livestreams on RUclips but NOT videos.
So weird
