So I just installed the same model on my FRS and the alignment is off slightly to the right clockwise. I took off and put the wheel back on the next set of grooves counterclockwise and the alignment is off the same amount but now clockwise. How can I fix this?
@@dlew7834 I contacted FTSpeed, and they told me to get an alignment. "Everytime you mess with the steering, coilovers, different wheel setups, you will have to get an alignment. That being said, I have yet to get an alignment because PHYSICALLY, there is nothing wrong with the alignment. I'll get an alignment when I get coilovers.
@@dylanvu945 I messaged someone on Reddit and they explained what was wrong. It’s The hole in the center of the steering wheel that connects to the screw by the clockspring The notches/splines in the hole are not the same as the ones on the oem wheel so they don’t line up perfectly which is why the steering wheel isn’t centered. You can get an alignment but if you put the oem SW back on or a different SW then it will need another alignment most likely.
Hey, I got to remove the airbag and cables, but the steering wheel itself, after loosening the 17mm bolt, refuse to move, I just couldn't get it pulled out.... Any ideas for help ?
FT86SpeedFactory Do you know if the pre2017 steering wheel and the 2017+ steering wheel splines for the steering column are the same? wanting to swap the steering wheel itself? - don't care about the airbag or the radio controls as i'd be using blank off plates.
Some help needed. I am considering changing my wheel due to wear. I drive an automatic transmission FR-S with paddle shifters. I've searched for an OEM one online but I only come across wheels for manual transmission (or without paddle shifters). Will a manual transmission wheel fit my automatic FR-S?
Ugh I'm looking at that head rest n wishing I could replace that instead. Great driving position for play time but for laid back cruising down the coast I just can't seem to get comfortable, even after adjusting the seat back/steering wheel.
@@Ell-Man now I’ve had it for a few years now, I got used to it! I had a hire car SUV for a few weeks recently after someone side swiped my 86 & it felt like THE WORST driving position, cos the 86 seat feels like it corrects your posture - it encourages you to sit up straight

It looks cool but $550 is kinda steep.
I'm in love with that steering wheel 😍
Y’all should make a carbon fiber steering wheel for the new 2017 brz so I can keep my steering wheel controls
Could U make a video of the dissemble and resembling the inside parts of the wheel?
Tom's. just ordered my Tom's taillights today, here by noon tomorrow. cant wait
Would this require the "Zero Point Calibration" from Toyota after installing an aftermarket wheel?
Good review. Hardest part for me was finding the springs to release the airbag.
the stock steering wheel is perfectly fine. its actually pretty nice.
Its nice but the materials will wear eventually and not look so nice anymore.
@@itznicholaaas4843 like mine
can you make same video but on a paddleshift automatic version
did you do it? is it the same?
I would like to know as well
I love the emblem that you installed on your steering wheel. How did you do that? Did you buy a Toyota emblem and plastidip it?

Does it matter the wheel position matter when you put it on or does it need to be straight as possible?

If you didn't get it yet. Try wiggling the wheel back and forth while pulling on it.
@@mattjohnson6304 I just tried again, the steering wheel doesn't budge at all no matter how hard I pull... what's going on??
Does this work with the auto paddles, it looks like it should.
Is it possible to replace my old BRZ steering wheel with a 2017 model BRZ steering wheel?

Trank you for the video. It was very helpful. Greetings
After I installed the steering wheel, the driving feeling is loose/floaty why? Needs a calibration?
that looks so nice! my oem one is already looking pretty shitty.
Hey Kev, the cable with the orange connector is the airbag (correct?) what is the one with the black connector? Cheers
They are both for the airbag.
Are there any procedures other than disconnecting the battery?
if mine is an automatic could i put the paddle shifters back on these steering wheels?
TROLL can u do it ? I was thinking the same thing
Any aftermarket wheels that allow you to keep the air bag and audio controls of the new brz?
