    Is there anyway install a aftermarket steering wheel but on a automatic transmission to keep the paddle shifters?

  • @HayrettinBalci

    on my BRZ, the clockspring only has one wire going into the airbag. nor do I really know how to perfectly allign the clock spring. it moves with zero effort, and its really frustrating when you feed the wiring through.
    then there is the horn

    splash hub only comes with 1 resistor. the guy installing it did it wrong you will still get the air bag light on. you need 2 resistors in order to remove the air bag light.

    WTFFFF Surprised to see this guy form subispeed sitting in a BRZ FRS doing this video. So is FT96speedFactory a division of Subispeed???? Then why does Subispeed also sell BRZ stuff? Why not combines FRS and BRZ aftermarket parts on one website

    How do you set up the horn

    • @vadevinp
      @vadevinp 7 лет назад +1

      Leonard Denicker that's exactly what i wanna know. Not only do you lose the airbag and cruise control, but also the horn?

    • @Fumxe
      @Fumxe 7 лет назад +2

      The steering wheel they used didn't use a horn so they skipped that part entirely. Installing any sort of aftermarket wheel will result in losing the airbag and steering wheel button controls.

      Why does everyone hate automatic so much? Yeah I get the point that it's more fun to drive and you get a "better connection," to your car but it doesn't make your dick bigger nor does it make you special. So why all the hate?

    • @PoienarEddy

    I'm guessing if we're using ecutek, map switching with cruise control, the cruise controls will be removed?

    • @FTspeed
      @FTspeed  9 лет назад

      Yes cruise control is removed with an aftermarket wheel unless you custom fab a bracket to mount the controls. If you want to keep the stock controls you should take a look at the OEM Fit wheels we offer.

    I have an automatic would i lose the paddle shifters if i change to an aftermarket?

    • @ErockHQ
      @ErockHQ 8 лет назад

      I don't own a frs, so I don't know if the paddle shifters are mounted onto the steering wheel. If they are, then you will lose the option to use them. I don't recommend getting a aftermarket wheel

    • @FTspeed

      We did not install the NRG hub but it looks like you will have to remove the gold and plastic ground on the hub to get a proper fit.

    You guys do understand racing wheels like this mod are more designed for handling on tracks and such. They arent for daily driving your kids to school n shit.

    Yeah what about the horn and cruise control? :/

    • @ErockHQ
      @ErockHQ 8 лет назад

      Exactly what I was thinking lol. I think this is more for people who go to the track or just care about the look of the steering wheel, not their safety

    • @dude24471
      @dude24471 8 лет назад

      +ErockHQ - I would definitely look into aftermarket wheels if the cruise control stalk wasn't on the wheel, but I'm not hacking this car or making it less equipped so that's ruled out.

    • @ivn1096
      @ivn1096 7 лет назад

      Nickel Reed who really uses that girly little horn on the 86 anyways. as for the cruise controll well I never use it so no big deal on my end

    • @dude24471
      @dude24471 7 лет назад

      I never referred to a horn as feminine or masculine, it's just a horn, and in most states, required to pass inspection. So yes, I use it. My commute is also 32 miles one way 5 days a week so cruise control is also a must, not including long trips. To each their own.

  • @nickdiperna3958
    @nickdiperna3958 5 лет назад

    Will it still pass inspection?

    • @IconHoonigan
      @IconHoonigan 5 лет назад

      Not likely but given that the install video was only 5 minutes you could probably just swap back to OEM for your inspection
