Kubes, I retired out of Rochester Correctional Facility (state) in 2014. I was the fire safety officer. The facility was closed this past year on Ford Street. Have fun in Rochester!! Remember Tandoor of India 376 Jefferson road.Joe!
Great episode, The circumstances of the Ladder 17 Line of Duty Deaths and how FF Hoey in his death helped save the life of FF Al Bold were intense. I can't imagine having to experience something like that. Thank you gentlemen for a great job putting together great content and keeping the show going strong. Last but not least... Thank you Captain Laffey.
This was one of your best shows, some absolutely amazing stories!! Almost like watching a movie. I could only hope to be as sharp if I live to be that old. WOW !!! 👍🇮🇪
Hey guys, I’ve seen many podcasts on YT and this one tops it, the stories the Capt told are legendary and the type that should be told in every house. Hey Lou, got a question for you, Did you allegedly hear of a story about a retirement party that may or may not have happened in or around 290/103 back maybe around 90 ? 😂 😂 If you allegedly haven’t heard, you kinda maybe might want to do some digging into the alleged party.
Every time you think you've heard the best show, ya get a old leather of a gentleman like this and just kill it! Incredible, Incredible, Incredible. God Speed Capt. To the gang you're keeping a retired FF in the loop and proud of being on the job! Layout or Layup!
The FDNY got rid of the height requirement when they were forced to hire women. Now there is no height or weight restrictions thanks to EMS. Unbelievable !! 😮😮
Mike was my "rabbi" getting me transferred from E236 to 220 in 1972. Instead of taking 2 subways too work I now could walk, jog or bike. Thanks Mike.
236 is a great shop!😊
