Chief Salka mentioned Chief Moynihan. I had the honor of doing a weekend ride along in 1996 with Chief Moynihan and Chief Mulrennan (hope I spelled that correctly). Spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the guys of E45, L58 and BC18. I had a blast and still remember how nice and gracious all the guys were to a volly from suburban Pittsburgh. I met Chief Salka at a class he was instructing in the Pittsburgh area at another volunteer department. I mentioned the two chiefs I got to ride with and he seemed a little surprised that I met those guys. I wish I saw this episode live, I would have commented. Great show guys, keep it up!
I was glued to the screen the whole time ---->" SAMMY STOLE THE SHOW"....utterly incredible to listen to! What a great Career! 1:04:27 The chiefs face's are PRICELESS during this funny story😮😳. Well done all and stay safe.💥
During a "Get Out Alive" class taught by the Chief: You need to what to do, because it's a short amount of time between the time you say "Oh, sh*t" and the time God says "Welcome".
Maybe we should change it to “term” of the day eh Petey!? Hahaha great show thank you for getting these icons of the fire service for us noobs to learn a little something. Stay low and go

Chief Salka is a great story teller.
I worked in 28 Engine - Richie Barto was a very quiet and funny guy and also a great practical joker. (Like the rubber rat in the kitchen cabinet)

Chief is one of the best shows so far....
Great show! I needed that motivation.
Awesome show!
Pete left his microphone on while taking a leak
It's called a rabbit tool because of the strip of material on the door jamb I called a rabbit which is what the tool pushes against to open a door
Pete left the chief hanging. Seems to be a familiar theme here.
Anyone have a link to the video they talk about at the end where the civilian makes the grab?
Chief, tell us how you really feel about Jack?
Great podcast! Every firefighter should be cut from the Salka cloth.
