As a no car, car guy I at least know stuff from helping my dad work on cars as a kid, granted that knowledge is limited to basic maintenance work and some knowledge on old carbureted muscle cars. To this day I still feel this need to work on cars in my soul, that I just am unable to do right now.
Thank god he didn’t mention me in his 50 types of car guys. I’m that guy who owns 12 cars but only drives 1 as a daily and it’s a Civic. I keep that R34 and the GT in the garage, but it’s like a prison: they only see the light of day twice a year.

Knowing my dad, he's like the "engine swap" from *25 Car Guys Part 1*, but he's Detroit diesel instead of LS. I kinda follow the same road my dad does, all the things I learned in the passenger seat of a truck compared to a ducking school
Loved this and the previous of this video. Is there a general car guy / gearhead category? A guy I work with and I would fit into that category. We talk about the classics (and are old enough to have owned several, including special editions). We know what power plants were in them. We appreciate the styling & engineering of the newer cars, too. Like going to car shows to see what people have done. We lean toward performance (laugh at the farters with lipstick on a pig mods). We've done mods, tuning, etc on cars we've owned and currently own. I haven't done wraps, but can see how cool that looks. Basically just enjoy car culture and making cars look better, perform better, express perfectly a certain car culture (low rider, drifter, classic restore, whatever - if it's done well).
That's kinda the category I'd put myself in, although I never owned a car and can't drive. I just fucken love cars, always did. My dad always jokes about how I was able to identify cars before I was able to do basic math😂😂 would love to get one and learn how to work on it and drive it but fuck drivers license here is 3k and I just can't afford that shit

Enjoyed the BASsS post, that one often cracks me up. Makes me wonder how they could possibly afford to maintain their car after that. Although I must say, I really enjoy some thundering bass myself. Just not so much that I'm going to spend $5-10k and literally blow my windows out!
@@gahbah274 Just to add to that, even if you are going to spend that much, why not do it on a home system where you can get much better quality sound for the money anyways.
If I had a dollar for every time I've found a part for my Tiburon that was no longer in stock or no longer produced, I'd have enough money to buy a better car.
That KDM one hit me hard man.... Currently waiting on my intake to arrive from a foreign country and I'm now on month 2. But hey at least I don't have a stock dodge charger. Right?
The thing about me is I have VERY diverse tastes - while there are some individual cars I don’t like, I pretty much like all classes of car - modern, older, supercars, big boaty luxury sedans, muscle cars, JDM tuner cars, trucks, and so on That said, I’d say my favorite category of cars are what are the ancestors of supercars (I’d say the first “real” supercar was the Miura). Stuff like Shelby Cobras, Ferrari 250S, Mercedes 300SL, Corvette C1s and C2s
If you would call the Miura the first supercar, you know sh*t about automobile history. Like sh*t. Even if the Miura and the Countach are both things of beauty (and the only two I'd ever save from the horrorific history of Automobili Lamborghini SpA, at most the early Diablos had some pass by being the very like-son-like-father essence of the Countach. Everything that comes later make no sense, have no meaning, personality, or place among that alleged supercar category -and don't start me on how they drive like sh*t, horsepower and all that, just try to drive in a straight line 🤣🤣🤣) they're by no means early in the history of what could be ever considered supercars. Just to take a glimpse... think about every race car built before the 60s and the advent of the modern FIA and that... the barchettas, the custom bullets and all that... at least every winner design of more than half a century can be considered a supercar by its very own merits... I better leave it here. Just praise Lamborghini Trattori (and SAME's ownership consequently) as I should, since AutoLambo died after 94-96...
6:04 you know what makes this even sadder, is that this is the only ZO6 corvette that had forced induction from factory. All others, the c5, c6, and c8 are naturally aspirated pushrods or flatplanes, but the c7 was supercharged.
I’m not even gonna lie I’m definitely the quirks and features guy. The only thing is that I live in Germany 😂 What means (from what I've heard) that if you want to get ground effect parts from America or else (bc German aftermarket support is for my car is still stuck in 2008) you'd need to have or make a "stability check" which could damage or break the part you paid for. Even if the part is from a OEM certified manufacturer. If you know more about tuning requirements in germany please contact or correct me, thanks 🙏

I had to chuckly when you did the Porsche part. Haha. I have a base 2001 Boxster. Originally I got it as a filler. After my first wife died, I found myself with only an Isuzu Rodeo Sport, which I bought as my airport car. I had been driving sports cars forever, and a Lotus roadster for the previous 8+ years, and having only a truck was killing me. I decided to get another roadster to fill the void until I eventually got my dream car, and the Boxster best fit the bill because of the practicality of two trunks, when most of them barely have a trunk at all. It's not fast, but it's a blast on the twisties.
I dont like all builds, or tastes but i respect what everyone does to their car because above all else i want to see people filled with joy for a passion we both share.

They occasionally try to sell their car on Craigslist with the caption "needs a little TLC" and with only one grainy photo of the whole vehicle in the post.
Hope whoever read this enjoyed.
I’m joining the Auto Club at my high school. Really excited to have my first real experience working with cars.
I think we can all agree on the guy who always trash talks others cars and the nice guy who compliments everyone’s cars even though it’s a crap.

The thing about me is I have VERY diverse tastes - while there are some individual cars I don’t like, I pretty much like all classes of car - modern, older, supercars, big boaty luxury sedans, muscle cars, JDM tuner cars, trucks, and so on
That said, I’d say my favorite category of cars are what are the ancestors of supercars (I’d say the first “real” supercar was the Miura).

I own a 2004 Dodge Intrepid and nobody remembers these cars but it’s kind of nice when you get somebody that is really interested in them and genuinely wants to know more about them. It actually makes me feel good that younger currently busiest actually want to learn about these weird forgotten cars.
A Dodge Intrepid is one of my guilty pleasure cars. I love those things. But I know they're not the best or most reliable cars, but I love them.
@@Leizgirl haha! I love ‘‘em too. Mine has always had something broken on it (through no fault of its own) as most of the stuff has worn out with age or from my own mistakes. It’s been fairly reliable otherwise but for me at least, but it has needed quite a lot of stuff in the 3 years I’ve owned it.
@@jordanseay216 I'm sure whatever work you had to do is certainly less than making monthly payments on a 35k car.
@@Leizgirl oh fs. I’ve probably sunk the better part of 10k into it by now but eventually I’ll end up with a decently reliable car to use.

7:36 That one McLaren P1 GTR in Asia with a fantastic itasha racing livery! I would not put such a livery on my car, not my style, but that one is gorgeous!
9:36 This hurts man. I am that special car, quirky features and KDM Guy. Maybe you can already guess what car I drive. Only thing I want to mention is that the aftermarket support isn't that big of a problem.

Miata drivers: always smile even in death
