Whatever base vehicle you start with a two door TDI rangie van would be cool as. Can't wait to see the build Richard.

You know you could lob that together in no time! I would go pickup, with Range Rover bits up to the waistline! Some nice signwrighting on the sides! That would be some good advertising for you!

Go for the pick-up solution - would be absolutely awesome! Would make a great series too! Cheers.

1976 vin, chassis and v5c are the only reason it remains. Here that means VED free and ULEZ/CAZ "bollox" compliant

Send it to the scrap yard!!!! Your time is better spent on concourse Rover P6s😂Best, Sean

Half way through the video I was thinking their isn't going to be a lot left by the time you've hacked off the rotten bits.
Strip it right back to the chassis and see what the chassis is like and if reasonable restore the chassis and then at your leisure rebuild it.

I loved the bit where you said that would be great to protect the gearbox!
I think you meant fuel tank!

probably, there is a lot going through my mind and my mouth struggles to keep up sometimes

If the chassis is decent, you could always build a 100 inch Landie.

A 2 door van with a BMW M57 diesel and auto box could be the perfect work vehicle…

I love your optimism but I think you should jack up the Ghost Train’s radiator cap and drive another Classic under it.

Strip it down - you called it yourself - start with a better one you've got plenty of options there.

Unfortunately I have to agree with your pragmatic assessment of the condition and viability of Ghost Train...you've done well to move on the nice reusable bits to grateful recipients and the rest (apart from the chassis and engine / trans) seems to be mostly dust rust and scrap, all of which can be gone from the yard and let you move forward.
Many of your apparently simpler nicer rebuilds recently have fought you all the way so no point letting this one sap your time and motivation... your custom van / pickup project will come together one day !

Range Rover van was always one of my dream motors. Don't know if they sold them in the UK, popular in France back in the day I believe

rare option here, but they did exist. France and Iberia it was a weapons grade tax dodge. they were even supplied (as I understand) with sidey slidey and rear seat in the back.

It's a no brainer Richard, scrap it and put your valuable time into one of your other vehicles.

My 2 cents, you aren’t exactly overflowing with free time so put what you do have into something that will yield quicker / better results! Certainly what I would do….

That's how it's been covered over with checker plate hides all the rot , bit of a pity could have made a small flat bed truck out of it like you see in Australia and New Zealand take the bits that are of any use scrap the rest.

scrapping everything north of the chassis, looking for something better body wise maybe

Just use it for spares, then time saved could be used to make a better one from one of the others in your stash.

i think its too far gone and agree best to put time and effort into one of the other cars Richard
