Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

Good morning. Was at your neighbors that grows strawberries yesterday and the young lady there said you were as nice in person as you seem on you tube.

    That 4440 needs some love.
Good cleaning, wax and recharge the a c . Build an overhang on the front of your barn. Show off the old I H, 4020 and the 4440 . Would be sweet.

Good morning Nathan. Those early planted beans look phenomenal. Perhaps next year after planting early beans. You could try a field of early planted corn. Just set the depth to 2-1/2" instead of 2".

When you get your new irrigation system working. You should get a video of it working to replace the segment of your old one working in your lead in video, right?

Nathan, I've followed you for years. I have a question. Where did the uniqueness of your kids names come from? Just curious. Thanks.

I don't want bigger droplets. I know there is anti drift additives. That's not the point

Corn here needs a little drink in Northeast Ohio. Starting to look like pineapples leaves.

You need to have more food plots so the hunters can harvest more of your rats with hooves, deer.

I've heard the fastest way to pay for irrigation is to never have to use it

When you run out of the spray in the middle of a round like you did, does your computer system tell you exactly where to go back to continue?
