Howdy, Bill. The township and landscape in Santa Fe De La Laguna is amazing. It appears as if you're on Southeast Europe or South America. Your instinct is right about the cows. I did say what I was told rentals would be for also. Having visited many towns around Lake Patzcuaro I would say this is one of the cheapest, or some would say, most affordable.
