The foot pad is mounted the same as the chute. It just needs to be tightened up. Also, the front yokes are not greased enough from the factory. Once greased, you can cut straight and it's not so jersey. This is what I've learned after a month of purchasing mine,
I preorder one when they came out... mine doesn't have a swing/hinged cage in the back or a spot for towing something...im guessing i ordered too early...dang i could use the swing cage and the hitch!!!....and yes i have the ZT6000 60 inch....but it's the best mower I've ever cut with...i do like it...i was on a waiting list when it came out...i paid 10,500 ...a big decision to pay that much for a mower...glad i did!... VERY GOOD REVIEW!!
I have owned a Bobcat XRZ 52 for 7 years, Just had to change that itty bitty battery for the first time. They are not a wet cell battery, I tried to buy a larger one and the dealer told be straight up that I didn't need a bigger battery. Those safety features... I think the same way you do, or did. My mower normally is set at two and a quarter inches. It picked up a quarter inch thick triangular piece of scrap metal, where it came from I have NO idea. Bobcat blade tips spin Super Fast! It threw that piece of metal and stuck it up in a pine tree three quarters of an inch deep. Deep enough to seriously hurt or kill another person or animal. So, ever since then No one is allowed outside while I am mowing and I use All of the safety features. I have tried the Bad Boy brand. Very well built mower. Maybe I am just used to the Bobcat but the Bobcat seems to mow much faster and smoother.
Great review I like the Bob cat especially the 6100 but have also been looking at the Hustler Fastrak SDX. I also need to be able to tow a small yard cart. In your opinion which way would you go and why. The other unit I have considered is the Scag range do you have anything thoughts you could share with me to help me decide, cheers Ken
I’m a huge Hustler fan but the hydros are sometimes undersized for what we expect of them, especially when towing a lawn cart. Mine has held up great with all of the abuse. I have nothing bad to say. The hustler is going to be considerably smaller than the bobcat. I’d say you can’t go wrong with either. I’d go with Hustler because I’ve owned one for years and have zero complaints BUT the bobcat wins me over with better ease of maintenance and cleaning, that is really nice! Price, size, and looks. Decide which one you want!
Good mowers, built like a tank, but the Ferris has the most comfortable full suspension ride then toro with myride is #2 if you like a smooth ride toro or a cadillac ride Ferris.
My local ferris dealer treats me right unlike my scag dealer. I bought a ferris to try it out money well spent. I had so many problems with my turf tiger it ridiculous. I would recommend anyone to buy a scag ever. I will never buy a scag again
Great points & video, 100% agree - It really shoots the grass out from the Mower Deck, with power. Adjusting the mower deck is an easy performance feature.
First of all I want to say great video. I love the honest opinion on the mower it’s hard finding a video where someone is not semi biased on a particular brand. I cut grass for a living on a big scale. I’ve owned toro, husqvarna, and have the new Bad Boy revolt in a 61 inch. I am looking to buy this same exact mower next week. I’m only worried about one thing in particular. Maybe you can help me! I have a Toro zmaster 48 inch cut with the similar deck design. I actually retired the mower this past year and went down another direction with the bad boy. The reason I retired toro was due to the deck. I understand you have to keep the channels clean in order to get a nice cut. On the toro I was having to stop after every yard and clean out the deck because it would skip grass no exception. If the yard was even a least bit wet for example early morning dew being on the grass you may as well not even unload the mower off the trailer because the deck would just clog up and not cut. My fear with buying this mower is I may run into the same problem. When you are cutting 9-10 yards a day it is purely a hinderance to stop after every yard to clean out from under the deck. With your honest opinion do you think I will run into the same problem with the bobcat mower? I know on the bad boy revolt it does not matter how wet the grass is it will cut it and I never have to stop and clean out the grass from under the deck. And that saves me a huge amount of time. I thought I would leave a comment to get your opinion on the matter. Thank you sir!
My honest opinion is yes it will clog. The channels are very narrow and the dealer that loaned me the mower showed me the design before I took it and said to keep the channels clear. I didn’t have any problems with it but I did not try it on wet grass. So I assume if the dealer made comment on it, it’s an issue they see a lot.
@@TheDurbinCompound ended up getting the mower. Love it so far, very fast ground speed about a 30 minute difference per yard compared to my 60 inch toro. I’m not going to complain about that!
The mower is SO FAST! It’s hard not to put it hard because it flys and is so productive! You’ll have to let me know what you find out about the channels and if they clog! Where are you located?
The rear tires are absolutely fine! For it to tear it up well that’s just operator error, I mow commercially and never had that problem but the tires on them are a great tire for hills, They grip very well!!
Don’t waste your money on these mowers. I have only 650 hrs on mine and have had it in the shop at least 6 times. Had to have hydro rebuild last season. The gel batteries they put in are a joke. Now it keeps blowing fuses. Just had it to have that issue fixed now it’s doing it again. Not happy one bit as soon has warranty it up mower is gone.
Bought the 6100 last year. Biggest piece of junk ever bought. Cut quality sucks, have stripping kit it sucks, engine sucks bogs down in grass cutting at 3 inches or higher, grass may be 4 inches tall. Engine rings were not set and it smoked like a smoke stack, coils had to be replaced, stripping kit had to be replaced, deck belt broke, drive pulley looked like someone tried to eat it for lunch, decals had to be replaced, tension spring broke, and I'm sure I am missing something. All of this happened before 100 hours, won't buy another Bob Cat!!!
I know a lot of dealers hand assemble the mowers in shop. The pulley and deck issues sound like an assembly thing to me. The engine would be completely unrelated to bobcat. Hate that you had these issues. I just bought the 6100 after having great success with my last one, but I do know my dealer hand assembles them in house.
@@47lawncarellc27 well I definitely got a piece of junk when I bought it, and my dealer did not do anything to help me out with it, first and last time I'll buy from them. Bought a Ventrac 4500Z last year and will most likely use it for everything.
I work in turf and have my entire life. Ive used John Deere, toro, hustler ex mark, scag etc this is by far my favorite. It’s a tad under powered for cutting 2ft grass but I’d prefer it honestly. You don’t need a 35hp to cut lawns. Waiting gas at the point
the deck is an exact copy of hustler and the hustler nocks this out of the park on everything else - engine, hydraulics, pto, deck support setup, all this. no go for mr pissinmyshoe bobcat
I cut 4 acres a week and I always just sit in the seat and my legs never touch the front part. I put a hitch on the front and back of the zero turn . It’s really handy when parking a short yard trailer.

Try letting air out of the tires. Less tearing

Your drives can easily be adjusted to help with going straight. I think It’s covered in the owners manual.
Bobcat has a nice mower I have a ferris and love it best mower I ever used because I need suspension
This, the ZT6100, equivalent Kabota, John Deere, or Exmark?

You should show how to get blades off to sharpen. Some mowers are a pain in the butt.
Sold on precise deck adjustment, very nice mower 👍The amount of throw coming out the side of the deck is impressive too

My question is does it have any grease fittings. Can you order it with a bigger deck to get under trees and bushes. That is always a problem.
If you couldn't get it to mow straight.....why didn't you use the On-The-Go Tracking Feature? Or is that only in the brand new ones?
Would love to see that in action! This model didn’t have that

Do your handles over lap when they are moving forward ?
Negative. Handles should not overlap
Good, Thx
What's the top speed on this? Thx
I’m told 13mph
Ive stuck with Standers by Wright and Great Dane hydraulic are superior. Well made . Bobcat needs to get better with their Dingo's though .
Spread ur control bars out wider. Then u can steer it .
How is it these makers can't put a grass flap or blocker on these 12k 13k $ mowers!??
I was expecting a bucket on the front lol
It does need one! Master of productivity!
When your measurement is 1.70m it's impossible to be confortable, get the good support againt lateral force and lock up the deck easily ...
