Hi 😊 thank you for watching my videos. Please don’t feel disheartened to share your story. My number of subscribers may be small but I believe I have a great community here. Greetings from the other side of the world 👋 I wonder what Japan is like in the 80s! The food must be so good in any era 🥰 thanks so much for watching!
It may look like small portions of food but it’s actually quite a lot. I was really stuffed! …Although a piece of good pizza before the meal wouldn’t hurt anybody 😆 thanks for watching!
Every dish might look small, but there are so many courses, if you put them all on a plate at once it makes a full meal. I've experienced degustation style meals - you don't leave hungry, it just draws the dinner out into an experience of many flavours.
This Omakase series has convinced me I really do need to drop $200-$500 bucks on eating a a great sushi place, but there are so many and they all seem superlatively good that I'd have no idea where to actually decide to go XD
It’s true really good quality Omakase can be quite expensive 🥹 come to Bangkok or Tokyo! It is cheaper here compared to in the US/Europe. Thanks for watching! 😊
Haha I really enjoyed the food here too. Chef Masashi was really nice and humble. I must go before another price increase then! 😂 thank you so much for watching 😊
This looks fantastic. I wish i would have made it here when i was in Japan. Next time. The portion sizes seem quite generous for sushi. Were you guys quite full when you were done?
Thanks for your comment 😊 and yes! We were pretty full when we finished. I’d say the amount of food was just right for me. The size of the sushi was quite big as well. Next time you’re in Japan I hope you’ll get to try this place out. Thanks so much for watching! 😊

Haha sometimes I order extra 😆 You can choose to order any extra pieces from the sushi they serve in the course. But the meal was already a lot of food so I was stuffed 😅 thank you for watching!
Just went this week but was greatly disappointed. First off, the restaurant decor and ambiance wasn't that nice and felt dated. The sushi bar was cramped...there were 5 couples (so 10 people), but the sushi bar space was only enough for 8 people. My skinny wife hit her neighbor 2 times accidently, and this is not appropriate spacing for a USD $300 per person meal. Secondly, the rice was too crumbly in that I had to grab onto the rice firmly otherwise the sushi would fall apart. My wife thought the vinegar in the rice was overpowering. Thirdly, the ingredients we got were not as good as the ingredients shown in this video (e.g. uni we got was not the level of uni in this video, and the toro was not as fatty). We also thought the sushi portion size was small given the price. On the same trip, we visited Sushi Ginza Onodera, Sushi Ten, Sushi Dai and Sushi Midori (decending in price level) so we had a good range of sushi experiences and price levels. I also had a lot of sushi around the world and throughout Asia. For what Masashi charged, we didnt feel the experience was worth it. If you want a better high end sushi place, Sushi Ginza Onodera was better value than SushiMasashi in our opinion. The best value was Sushi Ten and Sushi Midori. Sushi Dai in Tsukiji Outer Market was not good at all given the 1980's environment and incredibly small portion size, which I'm puzzled why people even bother going. In summary, not saying Sushi Masashi's sushi wasn't good, but considering the quality and quantity, you could get the same level (if not better) elsewhere for half or one-third of the price. Not sure why this was even Michelin Star to begin with.
It’s common practice for Sushi Chefs to start preparations and cutting the fish at the beginning of the course while the customer enjoy their appetisers. For temperature, and also to showcase the artistry and cutting skills of the Chefs 😊 thank you for watching!
How can people eat raw food like this? Um nooooooo i like my foods cooked right. Which is well done. None of them are wearing gloves. they wouldn't get away with it here in America. Cross catamanation is not good. I would never eat here.
There are a lot more better sushi restaurants in Tokyo, this one was very average tasting and more for tourists. I went there last year and it was not impressive at all. Sushi Inomata is a much better option
