Thanks all for watching! What did you read this week?

I read We are Legion (We are Bob) and just started For We are Many. These are the first two books in the Bobiverse series. I had listened to them on audible previously and have been inspired to actually read them since, since I’ve also started reading the new Ray Kurzweil book, The Singularity is Nearer. Saw him being interviewed about the book by Bill Maher and decided to get it on kindle. Looking forward to the 5th Bobiverse book being released later this year. I also finished listening to Howling Dark, and am half way through listening to Demon in White. Those have been great on audible.

I just told Linda that you are halfway through Demon In White and she's so excited!! I can't wait to hear what you think when you finish that one, or even Kingdoms of Death (the next entry).
How is the new Kruzweil book? I might read that one this month too on audio, as that's right up my alley! Thanks again for recommending Bobiverse, def looking forward to diving into those!

The Kurzweil book is fascinating. He thinks people will be merging with AI to extend their capabilities/become super-intelligent beings, and eventually to become relatively immortal. He has a pretty good track record wrt his predictions. I’ll be packing up Children of Memory and Children of Ruin to send your way soon, too. Have to finish a little something I’m making for Linda first.
I think once I listen to all the Sun Eater series, I’ll go back and read them too. I always miss some things when I listen, since I’m usually multi-tasking.

Name of the Wind is my favorite book of all time! Saw it in your thumbnail and I had to click! Started a RUclips channel because of it!
I read it because it was a gift. A friend told me about it and it changed my world. I had no idea it was this “overhyped” book. It was the book that started my reading journey. And I’ll be forever grateful. It’s unlike any fantasy book out there. Intimate storytelling at its best.

Dude that’s amazing!! I love hearing stories like that. Just subbed to your channel and look forward to following along!
For me it was the wheel of time series - it was my gateway to fantasy. And now I’m enjoying that journey all the more with books like The Name Of The Wind!

What!? What a coincidence. I’m actually on book 11 of Wheel of Time. I’m on my first read through! When I finish I have a lot to discuss with you!
      Thank you so much!

@@Thomas.R.Howell ahh that’s amazing ! I love Knife Of Dreams (and the next three books even more so!) I actually wrote a piece I recorded with an orchestra as an homage to the series, which led to Lorne Balfe hiring me to write some music on the show! Funny how life comes full circle (almost like a wheel sorry bad joke haha)

Really love your channel, You probably have the most similar taste in books with me of all the booktubers out there. I also read the century trilogy earlier in the the year (My first Ken Follet) and loved it. Read Shogun last month and is my book of the year so far. The last 50 odd pages were epic. Currently finishing up Dan Simmons Ilium which have enjoyed and about to start a book about Andre The Giant's life. Keep up the good work.

That is so kind of you to say, and so glad to connect with a fellow reader who has so many of the same tastes in books! That's fantastic that you read the Century trilogy - did you have a favorite of those? We probably read Shogun near the same time (I read it in Late March / Early April)

I think Fall of Giant was my favourite as there was a lot about WWI and never knew about.

Great video Nikhil and thanks for the mention, I'm really looking forward to chatting about Cujo with you. It will be great seeing you and Cliff chatting too.
I want to see the Stephen King shelf!
I've hit a bit of a reading slump (my reading always drops off in the summer) but I started the audiobook of The Hobbit, the narration by Andy Serkis is elite tier, he's so talented.

Thanks so much John! So excited for Saturday as well :) I got my Stephen King shelf video all queued up for tomorrow!
I feel you on the reading slump (I think for me it's due to fatigue from working so much) but def feeling like I could use a pick me up. I forgot to ask if you're starting Royal Assassin soon? I haven't started yet but can't wait to!
I've heard such good things about that Andy Serkis narration, I might have to listen to those !:)

I am also reading Stephen King's You like it Darker - as always, good.
