Quick note about the Github code: Depending on your experience with Python and your technical know-how, you may or may not run into issues, especially when it comes to installing Python. The README should guide you through the process, but it is not meant to be a full how-to on installing Python, though I tried to be detailed. So if you run into issues, I'm really sorry, but I won't be providing tech support in the comments. I simply don't have the bandwidth to answer hundreds if not thousands of questions, and if I answer a few, it's only fair that I answer everyone. So if you run into problems, please look for a resolution online - I promise you will find something, but it will likely take some effort.
That said, I hope you all get to enjoy the Music Machine to its fullest! It's quite a magical experience and we're really proud of what we've put together. ♥
I challange you to use hopper minecart on 4 hoppers

The vsauce note block music was an incredible touch
Finnally someone who noticed it
I knew I recognised that bg music from somewhere
I had noticed that and it was at that moment, THAT SINGULAR MOMENT, that I immediately dropped a sub and a like
thats what i tought
Wait its vsauce
If you're a masochist, the next step is to encode note block distances so you can do some quiet notes and some loud ones.
oh..... Oh GOD NO
Yes!!! 😊
Dynamics sounds interesting, but I personally think triplets would be harder
@@santiagoacosta3372not even sure if that would be possible? The only way I can think of doing that is dropping entities from different heights to get different timings.
as a musician. no
This basically puts every noteblock cover channel out of business lol. Insane
The noteblock crisis of 23
Or brings several new ones to the scene
Not at all
Well there where already tools to automatically turn any midi into a minecraft, it doesn't change anything
Not at all, since this machine has obvious limitations addresses in the video.

Redstone has never been more advanced. From this absolutely insane jukebox, to Cubicmetre's nuclear technology, the future is looking bright.
As bright as the outcome of that nuclear technology exploding

shit you're so right that would have been perfect!
Ah yes debugging, the most infuriating part of redstone design, taking 70% of the design time and 110% of your sanity
Honestly, it's the same for any digital/analog electronics project. Programming is a bit better on this part though but can be just as frustrating
You are lucky if it’s only 70% lol
E
@@Yorick257 a bit better ? Haha haha ah... It depends really on the project but there are some projects which can lead to demonic sessions on debugging... the worst part is when you can't understand why it happens or when you have hard time debugging since it's hard to get actual informations. For example I once used js web scrapping to scrap a piece of data ona website, it worked, and then i decided to loop it over 100 times to get 100 pieces of data, but this time it didn't worked. Those kind of problems are horrible because you can't simplify it to debug it since the simplified version worked fine and trying to debugging on a 100 times loop is just sheer nightmare. Especially when you can't get clear logs and when the execution take time. For instance on Ai project when an error in the logic of your training part occur you can't just run it out differently too much, since training the model all over again can take at best hours, at worst days or months.

My name is Henry Cheng, I’m a classical music conductor and composer.
I’m doing a collaboration with Total Museum in Seoul, Korea right now to do large scale public art projects in the metaverse, specifically Minecraft.
I’ve been tasked to do a concert in Minecraft this November - we have a team of engineers ready to help out - but I would love to speak and maybe pitch my idea to you and see if you and your collaborators would be open in advising, collaborating this project.
Thanks!

Super impressive video! Really nice clean editing, and storytelling. Not to mention the actual redstone being impressive.
bro this is some good video and audio production quality, amazing redstone knowledge and perseverance aside
I never knew a redstone torch could burn out, this was mind blowing and frustaiting
Can do interesting things with it to. I've used it as a clock before it's main function is a safety mechanism though it's really easy to accidentally make a self powering torch (torch powers something that powers the block it's on causing it to depower) which causes a bunch of one tick pulses. So because for better or worse this game was originally a school project, notchs solution was to just make the torch turn off for an extended period if it's constantly turning on and off in 1 tick pulses.
Yea also it turns on again when there's a block update so you can make things with the mechanism
I think you can get some datapack that can disable this (correct me if I'm wrong)
Custom maps just got their own soundtracks,
and because it’s re-instrumented, the sampling is within copyright
Bravo 🎉
Unfortunately that’s not how copyright works.

I sincerely hope this video blows up and your channel with it, because you and Mooncatcher DESERVE recognition for what you've worked on for months.
Awesome editing. Love the video.

Did I guys consider loading the music in a redstone memory and play it then later? You'll thus have less constraints on the hopper timing this way
That would have been a lot bigger, but yes we would indeed have less trouble with the hoppers
@@jazziiRedtrue that would be at the very very very least 2 blocks per disk in your double chest, so around 3000 blocks (using arrays of comparators, and maybe a collection of arrays of comparators could do a semi-random access memory, if you see what I mean).
